I love watching people hear them for the first time!!! I'm 57 years old and have seen tons of concerts and saw these guys live in Aug 2021 and they were unbelievable!!!! The talent & energy was amazing! Watching them perform this song live was unforgettable. They are so young and to already be this great, I can only imagine how great they will be in a few more years. The singer & the guitar player are twins, the bass player is their younger brother, and the drummer a longtime friend. Check out some of their live performances. No auto tune is used. Broken Bells (live candlelight sessions), Flower Power (live @ Red Rocks~just watch the entire Red Rocks concert. You won't be disappointed) When the Curtain Falls, Heat Above live, Tears of Rain, Built By Nations (live VEVO), Highway Tune, Safari Song, Age of Man, Age of Machine, ANY & All things Greta Van Fleet!!!! The entire Battle at Gardens Gate album is so great!! This is such a deep rabbit hole~but keep going!!!!

I love how weight of dreams started as Black Flag Exposition which was just a random stage tune they’d play and so many fans saw live videos of it and were like if this isn’t on the next album, we’re leaving the peaceful army, so they put it on the album 😂😂😂😂😂

I am glad they updated the name though, "Black Flag" doesn't fit the GVF "Peaceful Army" image so well - in military terms, the Black Flag means "Take No Prisoners - Kill Them All". Not quite the GVF spirit lol...
And wasn't Black Flag Exposition originally the intro to their cover of Melanie's "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)"? Love watching it evolve over the years.

Isn't that what they did on the Strange Horizons tour? They put out a different vinyl for each city they played in. Also, I know they go in and tweak their studio recordings in production, but I'm pretty sure they record with all of them together in one room, each song from start to finish, just like they play live.

Yes ahah The singer is a he! And are you guys twins? Or brothers who look a lot alike? Maybe it's interesting for you to know that 3/4 of the band are brothers, vocalist, guitarist and bassist/keys player, with the vocalist and guitarist being actually identical twins!
You should react to other songs from Greta! They are so good! If you like long solos you should go for Broken Bells, Age of Machine, I would also recommend Age of Man, Stardust Chords, Heat Above.. Basically every song by them! Oh and if you want some more adjectives for the solos, the guitarist often refers to his work as "cinematic and orgasmic"

Also, I recently descovered a band named Iotunn, with they're album "access all worlds". I thought about them because of those highs, even if it isn't exactly the same thing. They they merge some death metal beat and vocals, with rock vocals and ambiant part, but also heavy metal stuff. I don't really know how to describe it, but I love them.

"HER vocals are priceless..." 🤣 Obviously this is their first time hearing GVF. These guys are obviously identical twins and they're not even aware they're reacting to identical twins. They think the vocalist is a girl named Greta, who just happens to have a kickass backup band. I love it when someone does a "cold" reaction to someone they know nothing about.They're the best. Very amusing!
The ridiculous thing about having said that is that as a teen I would get really frustrated when teacher and old people said the likes of Robert Plant sound like women... and here I am doing the same woopsie like an IDIOT lol!
