Welcome to the family we call The Peaceful Army (: And Yes, Josh is an absolutely beautiful man. Start with (if you haven't yet) When The Curtain Falls, Broken Bells (Candlelight Sessions), Built By Nations Live, and my favorite, The Weight Of Dreams at Pinkpop. Thank you for your gracious reaction!
Came specifically to your page to recommend you do a reaction to their new song that just dropped called "Meeting the Master" from their new album that will be coming out in July! DO IT!!!! :D
I absolutely love seeing someone experience GVF for the first time. It’s the beginning of a never ending rabbit hole. They are the only music I’ve listened to since I found them.
If you want another rabbit hole, go listen to a band called Anathema (from Liverpool). Start with the song "The Lost Child". 😊 This band also features 3 brothers - twins plus their older brother. One twin is the lead singer. Very different style from GvF, but with the stuff starting around '98 you'll get Pink Floyd vibes. 😅 Did I mention I love Zeppelin and Pink Floyd?😅
Hi JoJo! I watch your reaction to GVF "Heat Above" and you lways put a smile on my face! Thank you. Quick trivia: Jake Kiszka (guitar) & Josh (vocals) are Identical Twins! Jake can sing too! Sammy (keys & bass) & Danny (drums) have been best friends since 1st grade! You might be interested in videos that show funny moments of GVF, these guys are the real deal! Lovely people, funny and amazing! They love so much, it's actually palpable 😄they are ll relly goofy fun and kind. #ThePeacefulArmy 💕
If you think they’re good in the studio, you HAVE to see them live. Best concert I’ve ever been to. The energy is insane. They’re lyrical geniuses. I’m seeing them again in 2 weeks, on their upcoming tour Starcatcher. They’re my all time favorite band. The band consists of 4 members: 3 brothers, the lead singer and the guitarist being twins, and a childhood best friend. They really started from humble beginnings in the little town of Frankenmuth, Michigan. What they stand for is incredible. I’m so blessed to know and live in the era of Greta Van Fleet. ✨
Forgot to mention the singer Josh and Jake guitarist are twins, their younger brother Sam is the bassist/keyboardist and their childhood friend Danny is the drummer.
I love this reaction!! I love the acknowledgement, before everything else, that Josh is a beautiful man! Inside and out, he's a beautiful soul. The entire band is. Their LIVE shows are out of this world. Transcendent music, truly!!
The whole _Battle at Garden's Gate_ album is worth listening to, but a couple of standouts for be would be "Stardust Chords" and "The Weight of Dreams."
I grew up in the '60s and '70s, so you know I listed to so many great bands. I swear these guys are reincarnated rockers from that time. Every excited reaction you have had here is how I feel inside every single time I listen to them, even if I listen to the same song a several times in a row. There is not a single band that I have listened to in to 2000s that make me feel much of anything in my heart. It's all digital and fakeness. You referred to Josh as an said "angel" and I was surprised that someone had the same reaction as I. Before watching your video, I had been thinking that exact thing about the entire band. This might sound all woo-woo, but I think they were sent here to make change in people's hearts and minds. All ages are listening. They are not spreading any kind of Christian message. It's more in line with Neo-Pagan beliefs, which are very much like the Peace & Love of the late '60s/early '70s - picking up right where they left off, perhaps.
As far as I’m concerned they don’t have any bad songs. They are all self taught in their instruments, and yes, Josh’s voice is an instrument. My favorites are Flower Power at Red Rocks, Age of man, built by nations, I could go on and on. Just saw them live in October and they were phenomenal! Listen to anything live and you won’t be disappointed.
@@JoJoLewis that's right...3 talented brothers...singer and guitarist are identical twins...the bassist/keyboardist is their younger brother and the drummer is their good friend!
@@JoJoLewis Josh, the singer, started out playing the drums, can play keyboards and harmonica. Jake the guitarist, is all about the strings, Danny the drummer started in guitar and is said to be able to play 9 instruments including the French horn. Sam, the bassist, of corse plays bass, guitar and the keys. Cant say enough good things about these guys!
GVF is probably one of the most _bafflingly_ polarizing bands in the world. Like, there are a lot of people out there who _hate_ them. Makes _no_ sense to me 🤷
They are a movement into a new era of musical healing...loved by all ages young and old..they are followed by their fans. Their lyrics are timeless and their message universal. Josh is an angelic minstrel. Love them!
Check out their live stuff. I think it was their performance at red rocks amphitheater when they performed flower power. Absolutely incredible. Flower power is also one of the first songs they ever wrote, at like 15 years old. It will floor you!!!!!
I think what makes Josh Kiszka such a beautiful person, apart from his voice, is that he is so genuinely positive and accepting. From what I have seen he just radiates love, and love attracts love.
By far, best reaction video to GVF I've seen yet! Another TH-cam dude (cant remember his name but i think his channel is called "tunes I dig") did a reaction to GVFs entire latest album after he heard Heat Above....I think you need to do the same! I'd be waiting to watch every reaction video you post! Haha you will seriously love them. I love all their songs but my favs at the moment (aside from heat above) are built by nations, stardust chords, light my love (the candlelight sessions version, specifically) and broken bells. Do more GVF reaction vids! You will love these songs!!!
100% agree with you JoJo. I'm 63. This is the best pop song I've heard in 20 years, I normally listen to classical music...this song writing, the vocal performance...he's using Bel Canto singing techniques usually only seen in the finest opera and few are capable of doing this. My daughter showed me this video and I was blown away. Lyrics are very high level and touch your soul. I hope to see them live in a couple months in Sacramento. WOW! Really loved your reaction!
He has one of the top vocal coaches, Ron Browning, who certainly has helped him hone his voice skills, breath control, and everything else needed to protect his voice hopefully for years to come. I can’t imagine if he never discovered his voice, that would have been sad.
Greta Van Fleet has for sure changed my life!! I discovered them over a year ago and there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t listened to them! I can’t even pick a favorite song!! Some song suggestions though are: Black Smoke Rising Barbarians Highway Tune Safari Song really just go to their Apple Music or Spotify and just start listening!!🤘🏼
Havent had a band like this in 40 years. Good ole Michigan boys! There big! A few albums worth of legendary music. Want another that will leave you speechless....Angelina Jordan. She will melt you. Songs from GvF black smoke rising, age of man, age of the machine, Safari song. And all the rest.
Try their first big hit, used in a movie and some commercials…. “Highway Tune”. Love your reaction to them. I’ve been a fan of theirs from the beginning, because I was born and raised in Michigan.
Rock is not dead! Greta van fleet these young people are talented! The 3 albums are superb. Listen to the weight of dreams👍🤘 The 4th album is coming soon! From France 🤘
Watch The Candlelight Sessions… Broken Bells, Tears Of Rain, Light My Love. All recorded live, with a small orchestra. Even better than the studio versions. Best band out there right now, in my opinion.
A man who’s died and gone to heaven. Yep, that was my reaction too the first time I heard these guys. My top favorites are: Light My Love ( candlelight sessions is one of the best versions), Tears of Rain ( Candlelight sessions), Broken Bells ( my favorite song across all albums- Candlelight sessions recommended), and Age of Machine.
Seeing your reaction is brilliant. I've had the pleasure of seeing GvF live in Germany a few months ago and it was all you can imagine. So happy they included Weight Of Dreams that set. A real dream come true. Hope you'll get to experience that as well someday.
I've listened to them since 2017 when they had not all graduated high school. I have heard many comparisons yet they are unique: 3 of the band are brothers and I have even seen a video when they had their dad play harmonica. One of my early favorites is a cover they did of " A Change Is Gonna Come" (Sam Cooke) -- They are not a cover band by any means...The song you reviewed reminds me of "Edge Of Darkness" (GVF).
Well JoJo, like the rest of us, you've fallen under the spell of GVF and Josh's vocals! Full body chills every time - and he's even better LIVE in concert! STARDUST CHORDS is one of his best - his chorus vocals are ethereal! I'd love to see you react to every song on this album, The Battle at Garden's Gate! You'll be gobsmacked! The lead singer Josh and the guitarist, Jake, are identical twins. Brother Sammy on keys/bass and friend/brother Danny on drums! I've been addicted since seeing them on SNL in 2018! They not only ROCK but they truly are phenomenal guys who care about our planet and the people in it. LOVED your reaction! TY! 🥰🥳🥳🥳
They are so much better live as well. I "discovered" them in 2018 and finally got to see them perform last year. They had an opening band called Rival Sons....I urge you to check them out by reacting to Pressure And Time.

@JoJoLewis i mean theyre amazing live. the thing about the Candlelight sessions is that its live but without an audience. so you dont hear any cheering and stuff. thats the other reason I suggested "Built By Nations (Live)" its a music video but theyre actually playing the song.
@@El-ingobernable Candlelight sessions also had and orchestra backing them up. I've seen these guys 5 times and each concert was different as far as what they play and you might hear some new stuff because their new album will be coming out soon.
I so enjoyed watching you experiencing this band for the first time. Yes they are amazing!! I can suggest you start with the first album, From the Fires. I love every song but check out Black Smoke Rising, Safari Song, and Highway Tune, you won’t be disappointed! Enjoy
Loved your reaction to GVF! Some of my favs are Age of Man, Broken Bells, Trip the Light Fantastic, Light my Love, Black Smoke Rising, When the Curtain Falls… to name a few ! Enjoy going down the GVF rabbit hole. Cheers!
You hit the nail right on the head sir! Ethereal and Heavenly was what they were shooting for with the video here. I think you were destined to be a member of The Peaceful Army (what their fan base is named and which he referred to in the lyrics) before you even heard this song! True fans feel very deeply about their music, but unfortunately, there are haters out there who take every chance they get to talk negatively about them for no good reason. We don’t care though…Thank you for doing this reaction, and you can choose any song off any of their albums and not go wrong! They are about to release a new one soon and we can’t wait 🤘🤘🤘Oh, and I forgot to mention, they started playing as a band around their area as teens, when the twins (oldest two) were probably about 15, and motorcycle clubs loved them because yes, they sounded extremely close to Zeppelin, but they’ve found their own sound. The oldest are now 26, ready to turn 27 in April.
Love your reaction and can't wait for you to discover their music more and more. You definitely should listen to/watch their live performance of "The Weight of Dreams"! It's absolutely mind blowing! Jake shredding his guitar for like 7 minutes straight during his solo is the best thing I have ever heard. I really hope to see them live some time.
I loved your reaction to this song! Priceless! I felt exactly the same way and I'm 59. New subscriber here...Looking forward to more of your GVF reactions. I'd love for your opinion on their song Highway Tune. 😊
They are amazing. I think if you want to watch something live (which you should cause they’re even better live) I recommend Age of Man live at red rocks. It’s a major fan favorite!!!
So now you should listen to Meeting the master, from their upcoming album (out in July). This was a real joy to watch, as a great GVF fan myself, this song was quite a turning point in my life. The band who's music I didn't know I couldn't live without 🤗
Candlelight Sessions of "Broken Bells" & "Light My Love" 🥰. "Safari Song", "Age of Machine". Red Rocks concert will blow you away! Really anything they do, because of their immense talent & love of music! 🥰🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁🥰
I love Greta Van Fleet so much, they have such a nostalgic sound while still sounding like themselves! Broken Bells and The Weight of Dreams are two of my faves, you should definitely give them a listen I think you'd really enjoy them! Tbh the whole Battle at Garden's Gate album is worth listening to, it's literally all amazing
Light my love, Broken bells, Highway tune, Candlelight session, Safari song to name a few. Plus there are boatloads of incredible live performances, they are young yet so talented, for me they have captured the beauty and magnificence of the greatest bands and musicians of classic rock from the 60's -80's all while exploding into our lives with their unique original unheard magic.
No doubt this is one of their best songs, but all their songs are good or even great - check out "The Weight Of Dreams", last song on the album - what a rocker!
Been a GVF fan for about five years now, and have seen them live numerous times. They absolutely deliver, you'll love checking them out. You can listen to any of their records, of course, but one performance i want to recommend to you to watch on TH-cam is Greta Van Fleet on KCRW. Search for that, you won't be disappointed. It's older but Josh's voice is absolutely insane on it. And this particular performance of their song Flower Power is my absolute favorite. Hope you enjoy this recommendation!
Your reaction is how I felt the first time I heard them. GVF consists of three brothers: Josh the vocalist and Jake the lead guitarist are twins and Sam the bass player/keys is the younger brother. The drummer, Danny, is their friend. Here’s a few recommendations: Broken Bells (Candlelight Sessions) Built by Nations Age of Man When the Curtain Falls Lover, Leaver, Taker Any song, actually 😊
I love your reaction. I only recently started listening to them and fully enjoy them. Ive read so many horrid comments from the Army of Mean People regarding them, and I can only think that way too many people have no taste in music.I hope they continue on this very Artfilled Journey. ❤
Black Smoke Rising is a song they wrote that is very dear to them. The vid I am linking is from a radio station interview where guitarist, bassist and drummer play acoustic guitars and Josh sings. It's purely sublime .Song starts at 12:37. th-cam.com/video/DpG8kgspBGQ/w-d-xo.html
Hey man I loved your reaction to this you seem like a great dude🙌 Please check out “Stardust Chords” by them next, its epic and the vocals are extremely diverse
Subscribed after seeing this! I get choked up in the same parts too! 😄 in all your vids, get ready for these 3 Devin Townsend ones “Deadhead Live at the Royal Albert hall” “Kingdom live for emg tv” And! “Spirits will collided” -(has a proper video clip) goodluck trying to speak through happy tears with this one haha They will all get you good, all have those magic moments that make you well up. That’s top 3 of his that (you’ve probably seen) every vocal teacher and react channel does these ones haha (always brings some good traffic too!haha) Enjoy man! 🙏🏼 Few hours south of Perth here haha, Ben
One of the best reactions. Have fun going down the rabbit hole 😂 reach out to me if you can; my Google drive has all their music if you want to check it out 🤘🏼
Oh Ill absolutely love to check out that google drive, would make ordering their songs for reactions so much easier. I am really glad you enjoyed the reaction!
They give me chills every.single.time.. and your reaction brought tears to my eyes. I feel like I'm seeing someone fall in love with my great grandchildren! Yes I'm that old! Please watch 'candlelight sessions '. You can thank me later❤️
That lyric that you picked out and called Josh an angel, that completely struck me like a lightning bolt the first time I heard it. I seriously felt like we were being given a message from Somewhere Else. I still feel it even after watching this video 50 times or more.
I fell in love with this song when it came out, and it's still one of my favorites. So different, unique, and it takes me to places. But. I haven't found their other songs as good as this. Just my opinion, and I still love this one. It's like going to church.
@@JoJoLewis they do have some songs that I don't favour as much but they haven't written a bad song in my opinion, I would happily listen to any song they've put out. Anything from their newest album is incredible :) of you want a bit more full on rock and roll songs like The Cold Wind, Safari Song, Edge of Darkness and When the Curtain Falls might be for you. But my favourite live performance from them is without a doubt Flower Power and then Age of Man live at the Red Rocks
Join their youtube channel and you can hear them all. Some of my favourites are Broken Bells, Black Smoke Rising, Meet the Master, When the Curtain Falls and so many more!!! Loved your reaction.
I absolutely Loved This song. I Will absolutely be looking into More Greta Van Fleet in the future.

Omg you have to do more Greta reactions!!! So glad you listened ❤
Great reaction. I love this song too. My favorite by them so far but they're just getting started. I hope they'll be huge.
Sometimes I have to stop listening to Josh sing otherwise I will cry
They have caught on with very little media coverage to. People hear them and love them.
This was pretty similar to my first reaction 😂😂 Great video dude, you've earned a sub!
DID YOU JUST SAY A 7 MINUTE SOLO. I MUST SEE THIS
I loved your reaction to this song! Priceless! I felt exactly the same way and I'm 59. New subscriber here...Looking forward to more of your GVF reactions.
I'd love for your opinion on their song Highway Tune. 😊
Safari Song to hear their rock chops. age of man live at red rocks is easily their best performance.
Oh Ill absolutely add them to the list thank you so much!
Flower power then straight into age of man. The best 20 minutes of live rock and roll in the last 20 years in my opinion
Omg I agree with Ben. Flower power straight into age of man!! You have to react to it!! I’ll post the link. I could watch it on REPEAT

@@JoJoLewis yes do Safari Song!
They are amazing. I think if you want to watch something live (which you should cause they’re even better live) I recommend Age of Man live at red rocks. It’s a major fan favorite!!!
Its so hard to find a band that is better live than studio so I am really keen to see their live performances! Ill absolutely check out age of man!
@@JoJoLewis try When The Curtain Falls!! Great song! I'm 63 and I can't wait until I can see them in concert!
@@juliemanarin4127 I can’t wait for you to either! I’m 62 and they brought me back to “LIFE!”
So now you should listen to Meeting the master, from their upcoming album (out in July). This was a real joy to watch, as a great GVF fan myself, this song was quite a turning point in my life. The band who's music I didn't know I couldn't live without 🤗
Loveeee your energy with this song!! Highly recommend any of their candle light sessions or the red rocks live! 👏
Candlelight Sessions of "Broken Bells" & "Light My Love" 🥰. "Safari Song", "Age of Machine". Red Rocks concert will blow you away! Really anything they do, because of their immense talent & love of music! 🥰🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁🥰
So do you think their live performances would be better to check out than their music vids?
@@JoJoLewis I think you won't be disappointed either way. They are that good! 🥰
Here’s a few recommendations:
Broken Bells (Candlelight Sessions)
Built by Nations
Age of Man
When the Curtain Falls
Lover, Leaver, Taker
Any song, actually 😊
I love your reaction. I only recently started listening to them and fully enjoy them. Ive read so many horrid comments from the Army of Mean People regarding them, and I can only think that way too many people have no taste in music.I hope they continue on this very Artfilled Journey. ❤
React to “Greta van fleet candlelight sessions - light my love (live)”🤩
That has been recommended a lot Ill absolutely have to check it out!
Light my love- Greta van fleet
Ill absolutely check it out!!!
Of all the reactions to this song I think yours is the best! You don’t pick it apart& find fault
Watching people experience my all-time favorite band for the first time is the best thing ever. You HAVE to listen to their newest album, Starcatcher!
Hey man I loved your reaction to this you seem like a great dude🙌 Please check out “Stardust Chords” by them next, its epic and the vocals are extremely diverse
Totally agree. An inspiring reaction to a band so far ahead, and classic. Just astounding sound, and you brought it home.
You must react to Broken Bells (Candle Light Sessions)
It seems like that is a universally loved performance I'm really keen to check it out!
Subscribed after seeing this! I get choked up in the same parts too! 😄 in all your vids, get ready for these 3 Devin Townsend ones
“Deadhead Live at the Royal Albert hall”
“Kingdom live for emg tv”
And! “Spirits will collided” -(has a proper video clip) goodluck trying to speak through happy tears with this one haha
They will all get you good, all have those magic moments that make you well up.
That’s top 3 of his that (you’ve probably seen) every vocal teacher and react channel does these ones haha (always brings some good traffic too!haha)
Enjoy man! 🙏🏼
Few hours south of Perth here haha,
Ben
Oh! The order for max emotion😄 Kingdom (best introduction to Devin) Deadhead, then Spirits 🤙🏼
I am completly in love with this song!! Wonderful to watch someone else also fall in love.
Don’t ya just love them!!!
Song is about love - not gender based at all - just love - of anything, anyone.
They give me chills every.single.time.. and your reaction brought tears to my eyes. I feel like I'm seeing someone fall in love with my great grandchildren! Yes I'm that old! Please watch 'candlelight sessions '. You can thank me later❤️
Broken Bells, Meet the Master, Light My Love, Candlelight everything, to name a few. 💋❤🤟🎉
Your truest words and expressions brought me to tears! What a joy to watch you! GVF has been my fave over 5 yrs now. This was so cool
Watch the Broken Bells - Candlelight Session.
Okay so do you think doing the candlelight session over the music video would be best?
@@JoJoLewis I think so. That way you have a live video vs a studio one (Heat Above).
Your reaction was awesome thank you
You have to listen to stardust chords, best vocals ever in their discography at this moment
OOft thats a big call, I am excited to hear it
That lyric that you picked out and called Josh an angel, that completely struck me like a lightning bolt the first time I heard it.
Oh no, are there other songs like significantly worse or just not as good as this
@@JoJoLewis Don't know if they are worse; maybe this one just set my expectations too high.
@@JoJoLewis They are all good to great-fantastic. And yes they are self taught and each of them play multiple instruments 😊
How all that sound comes out of that little guy? Not sure but it is infecting me. Pure Power.
lead singer josh looks a whole lot like a young bob dylan
