So glad you reacted to GVF again. This is a masterpiece. You definitely need to follow this one up with Age of Machine. Every song in their catalog is amazing. I'm 58 and have seen tons if great Rock shows and have seen these guys twice and they are unbelievably talented. Please check out more. The entire Red Rocks show is awesome. This whole Red Rocks (outdoor natural amphitheater) concert is on TH-cam, but it’s now in 3 acts due to copyrights. It’s definitely a fan favorite. What some might not know is that the venue is in the mountains, so the air is a lot thinner there, and Josh had to make several trips backstage to get oxygen so he could continue singing! I thought about that when you mentioned his breath control and his range. I truly don’t understand why they continue to draw so much negativity from some people. I think those folks are listening to lies and slander about them, and most of them probably haven’t even heard an entire song all the way through before forming those opinions. But I feel justified whenever someone in your position and line of work affirms the fact that Greta’s talent, music and songwriting abilities are above and beyond despite what others think. Thank you, and you have my subscription ☺️

GVF should be the biggest band in the world, but today’s music scene is dominated by “the industry”, who promote the lowest common denominator in “commercial appeal”.
Fortunately, GVF is becoming a force to be reckoned with through shear talent, hard work, and decidedly not allowing their music to be compromised by the powers that be in the industry.

When I found out lead singer Josh and lead guitar Jake were identical twins and seem to get along well, then another brother Sam on base , Their friend Danny is an amazing drummer . It’s is the old style 70,s rock somewhat that’s good it’s a change especially for the youth that have ever heard of Les zeppelin

I think this song displays a transition into establishing their unique sound. I would argue this song more resembles the feel of Rush’s earlier work…such as 2112, than what other critics claim to sound like Led Zeppelin. Particularly the guitar work…can hear the influence of early Alex Lifeson. Josh’s voice is his own. He’s in the range of Geddy Lee, but he has extra grit and feel that Geddy only occasionally tapped into. I definitely appreciate this group’s approach to arrangement as well…it’s deliberate …much like the classic prog rock groups of the 70s. Brings a sense of nostalgia to older fans, glad to see a younger generation grabbing on to something real and genuine.

They're my absolute favorite band. This concert was just a few years ago but they've grown by leaps and bounds already. They're on their way to top. They've been playing together for so long, since childhood (well they're 3/4 brothers lol) that they're absolutely tight, a well oiled machine. You can see it in their onstage jam sessions. It's what they do best, in my opinion. You've yet to hear what they can do. Josh's voice is insane, he can hold a note like none other. And yes he does make it look effortless. Jake is heading to guitar god status. You need to see "The Weight Of Dreams". "Heat Above" and "When The Curtain Falls" are good also.

I’m 55 years old, and this is my favorite band right now. Josh’s vocals are unlike anything I’ve ever heard. The comparisons to Robert Plant are getting a little tired. To be honest, I think a Josh is actually better than him. If you ask him, his main vocal influences came from female R&B singers, like Arethra Franklin. Once you know that, you can really hear it in his singing. As good as this song is, it doesn’t showcase his vocal capabilities as much as some of their other songs do. If you listen to songs like Heat Above and Tears Of Rain, those performances are even better.

Oh I love these kids. Shades of Zeppelin. ❤ And they’re always barefoot. 😂 Set of twins and a brother. Drummer isn’t related.

I love gretta van fleet. The similarities between them and Zeppelin are obvious. They are enough of their own band though that they are unique and amazing. It's frustrating that there are so many gatekeepers on good music. Even though we're hearing an older this band makes it relevant again. I hope there are more bands them in the future..

these guys grew up on old school rock music. Their sound sounds like something from the 70s. Girarista surely knows who Jimi Page was...Wow, we found the best rock music continuers...

I've seen the Zeppelin comparisons. Taste aside, Josh Kiszka is technically a better singer than Plant. They used to compare Heart to Zeppelin as well. Ann Wilson was/is also technically a better singer than Plant.

My favorite by them so far is Heat Above. It's like their version of gospel, going to church. I think you'll like it if you haven't done it yet.

Light My Love, Heat Above and pretty much any songs from their latest album are worthy of a reaction. They are legit and haven't hit their prime yet.

Hi Jamel/Jamal - love your videos. I just wanted to put a plug in for a band almost unheard of outside Canada- Doug and The Slugs. They were playing in the late 70ties, and early 80ties. I recommend the videos Too Bad and Making It Work. I saw them back in the day at the University of British Columbia and they were a hoot. The lead singer (Doug Bennett) passed away in 2004.
