In ancient times, like in ancient Greece or Rome, they would have been jailed or banned from the city/country. No joke. They even banned people from making shit/discordant music because it has a detrimental effect on the psychology of the populace. They knew. Shit, for adding advertisements mid-song, they might have been executed.

It's definitely an amazing feeling hearing your favorite band's song playing on your local radio station for the first time. Idk 😁. I have the record and CD but there's something about radio quality that makes me want to crank it up and relish in the moment of audible glory, while hoping it lasts longer than the allotted time slot.. so you turn the volume up and break out the air drums, guitar, bass, and microphone.

This song is just surreal. When I first listened to it, it was close to midnight. It was dark, I had my eyes closed and I was experiencing the music. I listened to the whole album in order. When the cut off happened halfway through, I thought, "Please don't have this song end." Then... The faintest note, getting louder. When I tell you I got chills on the buildup and climax after the cut, I mean it. I felt the solo and everything after in my bones. It's an experience I've never had before, and one I hope I will have again. I hope some others got to experience this as well. Absolute 10/10 song.

Same here. Everytime I listen to this i have to stop whatever i'm doing and just live the experience. Goosebumps and joy... I've never felt something similar through any form of art.
It's a very similar effect to meditation for me, sometimes I put this after a meditation and.. Try it out :) i'm in paradise.
Thank you Greta for this piece of art. 10/10

Imo Buckethead is a far better guitarist (probably the best alive) and his song Soothsayer is a masterpiece that deserved this title far above anything that appeared in the rankings. Why this one ? Maybe it's because his songs are mostly instrumental and you can't call a whole song a "solo" but in terms of guitar playing you can't even compare both tracks.
That said I love this one, especially the singing, but so-called guitar experts really sleep on the Legend that Buckethead is.

All across the west we traveled wayward for
To find the weight of dreams in gold
Heaven sent us here to meet the hallowed shore
To claim the wealth that we had sold
Gold mines melting men in the sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
Gold mines melting men in the sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
We stole from her a cloak of studded majesty
The queen is dead, we robbed her grave
You can still bathe in the river, but it ran dry
And all of us have turned away
Gold mines melting men in the sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind

    🔥Lyrics:🔥
    [Verse 1]
All across the west we traveled wayward for
Found the weight of dreams in gold
Heaven sent us here to meet the hallowed shore
To claim the wealth that we had sold
    [Chorus]
Gold mines melting many men's sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
Gold mines melting many men's sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
    [Verse 2]
We stole from her a cloak of studded majesty
The queen is dead, we robbed her grave
You can still bathe in the river but it ran dry
And all of us have turned away
    [Chorus]
Gold mines melting many men's sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
Gold mines melting many men's sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind
    Ah ah ah

This song gave me my first musical high. When I first listened to this song I turned my headphones to max volume and laid down on my bed, half of the time staring at the ceiling and half closing my eyes. I truly felt the song, the vocals with the drums and the emotion that flowed out of jakes guitar, there is such a beautiful synchronicity between them. As the guitar solo started to come to fruition I opened my eyes and looked at my ceiling, every note perfectly played as heartfelt poetry, the room began to spin. Everything lined up perfectly, the panning of the guitar from channel to channel, and the passion of the drums. Beautiful composition.

They were great when they first came out. This puts them over the top superstar status.

Am I the only one that says “This one is my favorite song…” and then listen to any of the other ones and say the same thing over again?🤔

Gold mines melting men in the sunshine
Spoiled wine tastes so sweet we have gone blind

A masterpiece. This song blew my mind. I felt like I was having an out of body experience listening to it. It is already a severely underrated track.

These guys are the real deal. A total sensory overload from the pure and honest instrumental perfection, then to accompany that with such a raw and powerful voice with such range, that just adds an additional layer most groups aren't fortunate enough to work with. This is the first band since the days of the Beatles,Stones,Clapton, Led Zeppelin and the other many greats to physically give me chills. That is what music is all about. Feeling the experience. Amazing work gentleman, you've got my support 👏

This entire album just blew me away. Every song could be a classic in its own right. I don’t know how GVF does it. Yes,
I do, they do it with unlimited talent and a true love for making music. While the unbelievable artistry of all the guys is on display here, Jake’s creative guitar work soars to another whole plane.

Picture yourself with a storm outside which is the world and all the noise and obstacles you will find. The weight of your dreams will keep you focus, ignoring all the distractions, all the struggle, and in the end you just take a breath and you are there where you always wanted to be and that is the end of the song, the sun will shine after the storm... what a song !!!!
