I did wet healing aftercare my first time. I feel like my little brow strokes became blurred and not as sharp once healing process was finished. I thought maybe this was normal. Then I found out about dry healing, so when my brows needed to be refreshed, I did dry healing. This time the results were more dramatic. The strokes remained sharp. I just had my 4th touch up and plan on continuing using the dry healing method.
Very oily skin here, did wet healing the first two times and about 10% stayed. Third time getting my brows done. I did the dry healing and now they look perfect. Just blotted for 2 weeks
Oily skin here as well. In 2020 I got micro bladed, I did the dry method back then as well. Now I’m 5 days in this time with ombré brows. Since my skin is so oily the lady told me to do the dry method unless they get really dry. When I looked closely at my brows tonight I realized they are finally starting to scab.
In healthcare, some doctors prefer the dry healing method for wounds in order to avoid dehiscence and maceration. So it really all depends on different factors.
I have done the wet healing process while washing the area with antibacterial soap with no fragrance. I then place a clear cream on them and they look awesome!
Today is my 10th day after the powder brow procedure and even tho I have scabs it's not falling off. I was afraid but after hearing, you say that the longer the scabs stay the better, I feel more relieved. My brows are scabbing and look cracked but there is no pain or swelling, I continue with the wet method and hopefully, everything goes well. Thank you for this video it helps a lot.
Youre very welcome. And usually all of the scabs fall off by day 14. But everyone is different and will heal in their own time. Just leave them alone for now and let the body do its healing. 👍🏻
😮 I’m doing the wet healing but when you said not to smother them with ointment I raced to the cotton tips and wiped off allll the excess ointment. I’m shocked how much I put on.
My artist has me gently wash twice a day and super thin layer of ointment after she says if it looks shiny it’s to much. Works great for my powder brows.
That's awesome. The brows can be washed 1-2x a day. I find that with the microblading strokes, however, washing once a day is better. The strokes can be super fickle and washing them with soap and water too much can cause those strokes to dry out and therefore the scabs may fall off sooner then desired. The goal is to have those scabs stay on as long as possible for best retention. But it sounds like you are doing the right thing. 💯 I do have a video on the aftercare I recommend for my clients if youre interested in watching. ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
I’m Doing Wet Like She Told Me. Today Is Day (5). They Look More Beautiful Each Day. On Day (1) When I Looked At My Self In The Mirror I Kinda Freaked Out. This Morning When I Woke Up. I Said To My Self, “Hello Beautiful Me”. I’m That One That Penciled My Eyebrows For (30) Years. My Artist Hands We’re A God Sent.
I feel like a in between way worked best for me. I mainly did not apply anything, only when it started to pull and feel very dry i applied a thin layer of moisturiser in the night.
Thank you for the thorough explanation. I kept hearing different care instructions on videos of different people having it done and wondered why. I had mine tattooed a series of 5 times with permanent cosmetic pigment starting 9 years ago. I've been letting them fade for the last few years and am getting them microbladed in a couple weeks after we did 3 angel removal sessions (pricking the skin with needles then applying a citrus-based solution to flush out the ink) to lighten them further. My original artist did the wet method, but I'm pretty sure she did NOT have me wash them, since they got so caked in product. 😬 She is still doing it today for the same cheap Groupon price (despite 21% inflation since then), giving customers half the time, effort, and manners they deserve and teaching others to do the same.
SO GLAD I found this video!! I should have done more research beforehand, but at least now Im better informed going forward in case I need to get mine redone. I got my eyebrows microshaded 9 days ago and I just wish I got more detailed aftercare instruction. My instructions were not to wash the brows for 3-4 days, then use the provided ointment and lightly cleanse them. I likely made the mistake of gently pat cleansing them with a damp towel rather than actually washing them with soap. All of the scabbing is gone at this point and there was no sign of any type of infection(the scabbing held a lot color though), but my brows look like almost as if I had nothing done to them. One of them looks thin and nearly the same as it did before I got this done, and the other took the color and shape a bit better but I see no hairstrokes. Maybe I am prematurely freaking out as I know the color should push back through but if it doesn't change, is this something that can be fixed during the touch up?? Of course I'll definitely be washing them much more thoroughly. Thank you for your response in advance 😊
Don't stress. its all going to work out. When you go to your touch up just tell your artist of your concerns. The touch up is meant to "perfect" your work. 😍
Thank you so much for this! I just got my eyebrows microbladed 3 days ago. My instructions were to use a "Power Repair" ointment/gel I was given 3 times a day for 5 days. "Gently remove the gel with a Qtips & re-apply a very small amount. No soap or water". Today I started noticing more puffy redness in and just above one of my brows, some very slight blisters appearing and a burning sensation. That's what made me research this more & found your video. After watching I immediately used an antibacterial foam soap and gently washed my brows. I felt an instant relief. I did not reapply the gel. As I have a very sensitive skin and some rosacea, my skin usually barely tolerates any products on it without getting red puffy and itchy. The chin, nose cheeks and the "eyebrows" area are the most sensitive to that. Silly of me to not have thought of that before. But, for that reason, a dry healing method might be best for me. I did not think about that earlier and thought what was going on might be a complication of the procedure. But now I think it was just my skin reacting to the gel. It's only been an hour now but everything looks and feels so much better. I might still use the gel in the next few days to protect my brows when I go out but I will make sure to wash it off each time. And if the reactions come back, I will immediately stop applying it for good and just use a 100% dry method. Thanks again! P.S. I don't see the final result yet as it has only been 3 days but other than what I have stated above, I'm happy so far with my new brows and have no regrets.
@@bossbrowsla thank you! Great video! Fortunately, since I stopped using the product and only wash my brows twice a day the way you have instructed, they are healing really well. I'm on day 6 now they look a little scally but they are not swollen anymore and no redness or pain. Just a little itchy but nothing intolerable. They seem to be following the normal sequence of healing now.
I have sensitive skin and am on my 2nd microblading sesh. (Meaning I've gotten it done before). I healed really nice and evenly. For cleaning the eyebrows, use "CETAPHIL gentle skin cleanser" morning and night to carefully clean the eyebrow. Then apply a RICE size amount of Vitamin A & D ointment 3x a day (morning evening and night). This can be purchased on Amazon. Lmk if you have more qs.
How did it turn out? I had my second session and did wet healing. I don’t remember my artist telling me to wash my brows. Around day 8 or so I started seeing crusting and rash under the brow and hot sensation. I gently washed them in the shower and it feels better. But I’m not sure if I should see a doctor.
I just got mine done and I’m 3 days in. The lady that did mine told me to clean mine and use the ointment like you said with the wet healing. My brows feel good and actually don’t feel dry. Besides I think cleaning is good to get any oils away because I have combination skin. Sometimes oily and sometimes very dry. I watched your other video about using an antibacterial cleaner and I use the neutrogena and I just use my fingertips like you used and it’s working great for me. 👍🏽
I clean brows with damp cotton pad on first day, and same again for 2nd day if oozing. Thereafter it's dry heal til scabs fall off. And if scabs start to look dry and crusty.a.dab of cream given to them after treatment.
Awesome! have you ever tried using your secondary numbing cream or gel after your service is completely done? this will help to absorb all of the blood and lymph.
primary is what you put on BEFORE the skin has been injured. secondary is what u use after the skin has been injured... its usually a gel or liquid consisting of 2-4% lidocaine and epinephrine. I actually have a video coming out on December 1st going over all of this. so make sure to subscribe and stay tuned! ✌🏼
Hi! Love your video thank you. I’m in a. Crisis where I did dry healing first time and then for touch up - for nano brows - they turned black and scabbed off and were grey strokes underneath. So I healed black/Grey meanwhile I have auburn/brown hair and my eyebrows matched. My strokes were very crisp though and healed well. I went back a third time 7 weeks later for her to fix the colour. She went over it and I left very happy they were lighter again. But this time she told me to clean with water on a cotton pad morning and night, and at night to apply vaseline. My eyebrows started to get darker slower, and retain colour longer. But it was very hard to wash the vaseline off in the morning with water and a cotton pad like she said. I also read you shouldn’t use vaseline so I’m confused? This is supposed to be the number one place in Toronto. I’m 2 weeks in, I stopped using vaseline since she said do it for 14 days - and it only now started drying up and flaking starting. But now they turned black in one day at day 15. Now I’m very afraid they’ll stay black/grey again :( it seems like all the new coloured pigment she put on last time is completely gone! Black looks so bad on me and when I reached out to ask her what should I do she yelled at me on the phone and sent me a long email saying she never saw what was wrong with my wywbrows in the first place (THEYRE BLACK!! I’m so fair skinned with medium to light reddish brown hair!!!!) and said she will no longer work on me because I “don’t appreciate her work”!! All I did was ask a question to make sure I healed properly! So now I don’t know what to do :( she won’t answer me and do you have any idea why this is happening or what I should do? (I have oily/combo skin but my eyebrows feel dry the more I wash them) I’m just so sad and now I’d I go to someone else I have to pay full price again instead of a touch up price to fix it. I’m beyond shocked at how these people treated me. Everytime they speak to me I felt manipulated. Thank you for your video and kindness
AND she also told me “you should know the healing process by now, this is your third time!” …but I was asking questions because it never turned out right AND mainly because this was my FIRST time not dry healing
boo!! she should've been nicer to you. It's not like your the PMU artist. I'm sorry that happened to you. I have a good video on the correct after care. Everyone has their own way of doing it but I found this way to work great!! 😍 Here is the link ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
My artist had me purchase witch hazel for wet healing. I had my touch up completed last Friday. Thank you for the rationale behind the healing process.
I’m so confused. My artist advised me not to get brows wet at all. If I am washing brows then doesn’t that mean they will be wet??? Please explain! I’m so confused still!!!!
I can see why its confusing. There are different healing methods. That's what this video is going over; wet vs. dry healing. Wet healing just means using a product to aid in the healing process. However, if one is using a product to aid in healing, its imperative to cleanse (very gently) the brows at least once a day so there is no build up of product and the skin can still breathe. So your artist was right in saying, "don't get them wet". You do NOT want to submerge the eyebrows in water. (ie: go swimming, avoid drowning the brows in water while showering, etc.) I do wish that I used the word "submerge in water" instead of "getting wet" bc I think it would've been a little less confusing. Here is my video on the aftercare I recommend for my clients. ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html Here is a great video on how the eyebrows can get infected and what to do. ➡️th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html if you have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. My skin is oily so because of that I have to use the dry method. My artist recommended I gently blot my eyebrows and forehead everyday. But as far as cleansing, not sure how to do that just yet lol
I'm not sure why your artist said that you had to do the dry method due to you having oily skin. im so curious what the thought process was on that one... 🤔
Thanks for such an informative video! I'm on day 4 of healing, my artist prefers the wet healing but she doesn't want us to wash the brow area, just wipe it gently with clean water on a cotton pad. Then apply a thin layer of ointment if they feel dry or itchy. I must have wiped too hard bc a scab came off on day 3 and there was tiny bit of blood I hope I haven't messed anything up🥺
I use wet method healing with cream only and I never had a complaint. My sister did her eyebrows somewhere else and was taught to apply cream over them only when she will feel them dry after a few days... and her brows fell down... thing that never happened to me.
that's awesome. the only thing I would be careful of is putting cream on and not washing them at least once a day. It may not happen very often but if the brows aren't kept clean while using a cream or serum, there's a chance of a "buildup" of product which means the brows can't breathe and that's how an infection happens.
My artist has always recommended wet healing with cleansing, as you do. I’ve been to her numerous times within the past two years because I have one area in the front of my right eyebrow that never seems to hold pigment like the rest of my brows, and they always fade pretty quickly. I’m now in the healing process again for the fourth time (not including touch ups) that I’ve gone to her. We’re trying dry healing this time and it looks like color may be holding in the spot it usually doesn’t, but is fading in another spot on the same eyebrow and it’s making me nervous. Fingers crossed it’s just a scab causing it to look that way. I do my aftercare and I don’t go out into the sun or sweat, etc. I will say we did try a darker shade this time so hopefully when it fades it won’t be as drastic (I have dark hair and my brows are light lol) Would you have any advice for this situation? Am I just never going to be able to have good results?
Im not sure what your skin type is but that has a lot to do with it (dry, oily, combo, sensitive, etc) I have had some clients that respond better to dry healing. It can def be a case by case thing. good luck! hope it all turns out okay. 👍
I’m doing this all wrong . I’m doing the wet healing no matter how much I try to not get them wet then tend to get a bit wet I Pat them dry and apply aquaphor over aquaphor . Now I noticed a little smell should I remove all this glob off and just let them dry natural from now on and hope I don’t ruin them by removing all the aquaphor off
Good question. What did your microblading artist say? I would always check with him/her first. But in most cases less “product” such as aquafore is better. Too much of anything with clog the skin and prevent it from being able to breath. The skin needs oxygen in order to heal itself. Here is another video that might help 👉🏻 m.th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html
I know they say don’t wear make up for two weeks after micro blading but is it ok if I put on some mascara ? My eyebrow are so big and black my eyes look so strange now with no mascara 🙈 I’m only on day 2 .
My artist said I shouldnt get my eyebrows wet for 7 days and that I should use a tattoo creme 2x a day for those first 7 days. Im now on day 9 and have no scabbing, I hope this is normal?
everyone heals differently. so don't worry. its not a bad thing. And as far as specifics when it comes to aftercare, will vary from artist to artist. However, it sounds like our artist gave you good instructions! 💯
I did micro blading with wet healing followed by the touch up and after 3 months they looked grey and soooo faded. I was soooo let down bc I paid 650$ and obviously want it to work and look nice. I showed the girl my pics and she redid the touch up . ⁉️Any tips for me- if this fades away again I will feel so defeated and like I wasted all the money⁉️😢
She can try to do some color correcting but as far as what you can do I would just say try to stay out of the sun (like wear a hat if youre laying out). Hopefully the touch up will make it better.
Thank you so much for making this video! I've had poor microblading results despite going to different artists and receiving completely opposite after care instructions and after watching this video I now understand both instructions were completely wrong because neither included cleaning the brows, the first time I was told to apply a thin layer of coconut oil constantly throughout the day so the area doesn't get dry, the second time I was told to keep the area completely dry, do not wash, do not wet. I am attempting my third microblading experience on Saturday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that following the advice from this video helps me achieve lasting pigment retention :) Ironically I have also just completed a microblading certification course and the instructions they gave me was also missing cleaning the brows! Their advise was to use either coconut oil, grapeseed oil, or vaseline 1-2 times per day without any mention of cleansing.
I don't understand why there are so many different "methods" of aftercare. yes, there are options and whatever you find works best for you, you should do. however, it seems like common sense right? like its a wound and it should be treated like one. its most likely people's inability to fully understand the skin anatomy. I am a licensed esthetician and both my father and brother are doctors so I guess that helped with my understanding of aftercare. I'[m glad this video helped. I would definitely check out my online course. it will absolutely help with achieving better pigment retention. Retention has more to do with technique than aftercare (not dismissing the aftercare just underlining the importance of stretch, pressure, angle of blade, etc). Let me know how your microblading procedure goes on Saturday... oh yeah and don't say "attempting microblading".... THINK POSITIVE! I'm sure you're going to crush it! just remember to work slow. slow and steady wins the race! if you're interested in my online course I offer payment plans. It goes over everything (including how to do combo brows and ombre- manually.) You will also get tons of hands on assignments to do at home to help you improve your Microblading and build confidence in your craft. the assignments get turned into me and I go over everything and return with tons of notes with my edits, tips and tricks to become an even better artist! here's the link if you're interested 👉🏼 trainlikeaboss.teachable.com GOODLUCK! slay those brows 🤩✌🏼
So one question how are you suppose to shower without getting your brows a little wet. This seems like aftercare is exactly like when you do a tattoo.. you put Vaseline for 3days dont get wet then after that let it heal
I've never had a problem avoiding getting the eyebrows wet when in the shower... if you are aware of it, then you will go out of your way to not put your face directly under the water. 👍🏻 I would also recommend not taking super long, hot, steamy showers.
I got ombre powderbrows on Thursday and on Saturday when I woke up, for a minute I forget I had them done haha. So I jumped into the shower and I was like NOOO they recommended to keep them dry and avoid, water, sweat etc. Now I'm a bit worried, but I hope the results will turn out okay. The skin already feels a bit patchy. I do not touch them now. We will see :-(
Hi, I just had my ombre powderbrows yesterday and the instruction was to apply an ointment twice a day but never wash or wet my eyebrows for 3 days. I am hesitant to that as I am applying ointment and was thinking I should atleast clean my eyebrows to remove ointment residue.
I have a great video on aftercare but seeing as I'm just now seeing this its prob not going to be helpful. I'm sorry. but for next time., ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
im doing the dry healing but so far whats flaked off has shown no pigment underneath at all :( it looks like i have less brows than before lol, idk if thats normal, my artist says they look great and pigment will come through in a week or two but all i see is light pink skin rip
your artist is correct. Right after the scabs fall off, the brows look super super light! Thats bc youre looking at baby skin. The skin isn't fully healed. You need to wait another 2 weeks for the new healthy skin to grow in and you will see color re-appear. And whatever didnt retain- you can fix at the touch up. 🤗
@@bossbrowsla oh thank God okay I'll trust the process. She def has to add more color as I want basically charcoal Brows but she did a warm tone layer first so I don't have green Brows eventually lol
I’m 4days into my microblading. I was told no water. And I’ve been applying ointment 3 times a day. My skin is flaking and looks like some flakes are coming off with the strokes of ink, I’m scared to wash because I think I’ll loose the stokes of ink. Please advise
I would follow your artist's instructions and try to not pay so much attention to them. The brows go through a lot of ups and downs in the first 10-14 days and its all perfectly NORMAL. everyone heals a little differently... some get great healing and some don't get the best retention. Once you are completely healed you can talk to your artist about your concerns and they will (or should be) addressed at the touch up 🤗 This video is helpful (how I tell my clients to do their aftercare)➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html Here is a video on what to expect in the two weeks after microblading ➡️ th-cam.com/video/dWyFk4jsQmE/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for this informative explanation, I did my brows and on day 19, and I still have think scabs. I must say that this worried me until I head you saying the longer the scabs stay the better. But I think I'm an exception, 19 days seems too much and I have been watching a lot of videos after I did my brows and people heal faster. I was told to keep brows dry and apply vaseline after 12 days, but on day 1e my brows still had think scabs I was so scared. I was starting to be impatient until this vedio
I don't really do dry healing but since you're not applying any product to the area, you technically don't need to wash them. if they seem like they need to be washed then very gently wash them with soap and water. Just use your best judgement.
yes I definitely numb them for the first pass. I have heard of some artists who do not. However, I find that when my client is more comfortable, my job is a lot easier. Check out this video, it may be helpful. 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/f-QWuhXqI30/w-d-xo.html
My artist said avoid my brows from getting wet 7-10 days, well i had tattooes, and microblading is the same so i guess the aftercare i had for my tattoes i'll do the same on my brows. Cause if i will keep putting ointment or cream on my brows without washing 'em i got scared that thick scab will build up.
exactly. if you put ointment on them without washing you actually run the risk of infection. bc the skin can't breath. but gently washing them and getting them "wet" (ie: swimming, etc) is different. I have a video on the aftercare I recommend. here is the link 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
well that depends on what type of healing you're doing. I recommend the brows be washed days 1-5 of healing. Here is a good video. (btw. when I say don't get the brows "wet" in the video what I mean is don't "submerge the brows in water") 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
@@bossbrowsla I was told 10-14 days! I may wash my hair lying in the bath using the shower head and then wash my body. I mean when I was told you can't get them wet for about 14 days I was like what? The pigment that will suit me will arrive in a couple of days (was out of stock) she also said no retinol , vitamin c, acids even niacinimide 🤔 Well im not going to forgo all that and look like a prune just to keep my brows fresh. I'll just go every now and again for a top up
@@bossbrowsla I did my brows Saturday and I have a hair appointment this Friday. I got some brow shields but do you think the heat from the blower dryer may cause damage to the brows?
maybe... everyone is so different so both can be used. However, I prefer the wet method. Not to say that I don't use the dry method for a few of my clients. I do have a good video on the aftercare recommendations I use for. my clients. Check it out.... maybe it will help. 🤗 ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
What cream do you use for the brows? Is Vaseline also good? My friend said her eyebrow artist told her to put vaseline on her microshaded brows. Please advise.
I’m going through the healing process but I think something went wrong. My skin looks toasted on the top and I have a lighter spot like a burnt. This is my first section. I am concerned since my eyebrows are uneven one more shorter than the other one. I’m not sure if I have to wait after the second section which she have said that she can correct everything that’s wrong but I feel like nothing should be wrong from the begging I am having a hard time, 😟
do you think its infected. does it hurt? is it yellowish or super red and painful? check out this video, this may help 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html
Heelp mine is so dark, and I'm going to meet my boyfriend for the first time about 7 days 😬😬😬 will that dark colour be lighten more up there? 😬😬😬 I'm going on a 15 hours flight trip.. oh no what am I going to do?! 😱
sorry I have been super busy moving so I know this is now to late but YES! the brows will lighten a lot. The first few days the brows are super dark. There's not much you can do about it... but your bf loves you for you... 😍 not your eyebrows so I'm sure he will understand that the healing is a little bit of a process.
I just got my eyebrows micro bladed with the touch up ( 3 months after original) and it’s only been 3 weeks and they are pretty much completely gone again. 😢. I was told the wet method snd followed the instructions exactly as she said. I do take thyroid medication and I think she said that it may cause my skin to not keep the pigment. I’m so disappointed and am afraid to tell her.. I just wonder if there’s anything she could do at this point.. what are your thoughts?
I would definitely talk to her. Not everyone is a candidate for microblading but that doesn't mean you can't do other services like the ombre brow. I would just have a conversation with her. Im sure she wants you happy so don't be scared to have a chat 🤗
The place where I got the ombre told me to use Vaseline every 3-4 hours . I’m on day 3 and it starting to lift and fall off . The skin feels healthy though .
Hi there, just got powder brows 4 days ago for the first time. My instructions are to wipe my brows with a clean cotton pad and bottled every 2-3 hours and then apply a thin layer of ointment. She didn’t mention anything about using soap. Should I be using soap?
That’s a good question. Some people have didn’t methods for their aftercare. However, if you are applying an ointment it’s a very good idea to gently wash the brows with a mild soap Amd water at least once a day. You don’t want there to be a build up of the product you’re applying otherwise the skin can’t breathe. The skin needs oxygen in order to heal. 🙌🏻 I’m not sure what u mean by wipe ur brows with a clean cotton round every 2-3 hours... do u mean just immediately after the service?
@@bossbrowsla the instructions say to wipe eyebrows clean with a cotton pad using bottled water. Clean every 2-3 hours until eyebrows have completely flaked or peeled. Apply a thin layer of ointment after every cleaning.
Got my powder brows 3 days ago, I was told to dab them with treated little cotton rounds every 15 minutes for the first day. Starting on day2 to finger wash them with cleanser she gave me rinse and dab dry with paper towel making sure they’re really dry before applying rice grain size of ointment she gave me. Today day 3 they are scabbing up and sort of puckered is this normal? Should I continue this process thru day 14 as advised? Nervous!!!
Just had my first day of getting them micro bladed (combination), she gave me a moisturizer and a cleanser. I don’t know if I’m washing my brows correctly. I believe she wanted me to gently wash in a circular motion (with cleanser/ a little bit of water), that I put a little rice grain size of cleanser on. Then, should I splash my eyebrows with water and do the circular motion again while washing the cleanser off? After I pat it dry, then I put the moisturizer on, and do I just pat it on my brows or do the circular motion again with the little rice grain size?.
I did wet the area with micellar hyaluronic aloe water by Garnier and then put bepanthol cream at third day. Because i I don't like them are too dark ... i am on the 4 day....

im confused? did yo already micro blade them? You can't wipe that off. But if they feel thick, maybe your mm is too much or maybe you're going too deep, however im not sure if I understand the question.
@@bossbrowsla yeah on day 2 I just kept rubbing the thick strokes with alcohol wipes and now they are gone completely a week later. I wanted feather strokes. Either the artist isn’t good or they used too thick of a needle.

Hi, i just had my microblading 3 days ago and it seems that I had an allergic reaction because my eyes got swollen and had some rash around it. Im not sure if its because of the ointment/serum they gave or its the ink. Can I just use the dry method instead? Thanks :)
Sorry I’m just now responding. Hopefully u figured everything out. I have noticed some serums can cause an allergic reaction. I haven’t had that problem with the one I use 🤞🏻 but I would consult with a doctor if u think ur having an allergic reaction... and yes I can stop using the serum if u think ur allergic. Just gently wash them once a day. Here is the video I have on aftercare (just do the washing part without the serum tho) 👉🏻 m.th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
I would recommend the same aftercare. It's still an injury to the skin (permanent makeup/tattoo) and it needs oxygen to heal. therefore, gently rinsing the brows with soap and water 1-2x/day and applying the aftercare serum 2-3 times a day (never over apply). hopefully that helped.
Hi. I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. I am a nurse and typically when I clean a wound, I use sterile saline only and a clean sterile gauze with each swipe, would you recommend this for cleaning? Also, why is it important to completely get all the numbing off before Microblading? Thank you so much!
that's a great way to clean. I just really like the green soap but your way is great too! it's going to be hard to hold the skin taught if you still have the cream on their skin so make sure to wipe it all off.
there are many different types of healing. Here are some videos that may be helpful. ➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html ➡️th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html ➡️th-cam.com/video/dWyFk4jsQmE/w-d-xo.html
I just got mine done yesterday and was told to not get them wet for 2 weeks. Right now I am just applying the ointment they gave me once a day. Should I be cleaning the area already or go with what they said? I’m a confused
There is different healing methods. Personally, I have my clients wash them once a day (very gently with fingertips) while they’re using the serum. This way there is no buildup of product on the brows. It’s important that the brows can breath. They need oxygen to heal. BUT... I’m not your artist and don’t want to cause any confusion. So I would always do what your artist says. You chose her/him for a reason 🤗😉
I feel all of those aftercare institutions like “do not sweat, do not take hot showers, do not do this or that or do not get the brows wet” are just to look for excuses why the pigment did not take. I see clearly on second day which strokes took the pigment which once will pill off. It is always the artist not the healing process. If they did not get the pigment deep enough it will not stay even if you stop moving for 2 weeks 😱😂
Technique has a lot to do with pigment retention. But so does after care (believe it or not…) I would just recommend seeing someone who has plenty of experience when you want to get microblding done. 👌🏻
So I wasn’t given after care instructions I was just told to put this antimicrobial ointment day and night and to not get them wet at all I did a combo of micropigmentation and micro blading do you have any tips or advice on what i should do
congrats on your new brows! ✨✨✨✨ it sounds like she /he did give you after care instructions. They may differ a little from what I recommend but that's okay. if you want to see what I recommend here is a good video 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
It is day 5 currently of my micro blading and it is starting to itch and flake. What is a good product to use so I don’t accidentally scratch? Aquaphor is not really helping.
I didn't understand well the instructions and guess what I applied antibacterial soap and washed it 3 times ( to disinfect)then put on the ointment lets just say its day 3 and everything has faded, almost everything has fallen off like it looks like no color took now am so disappointed and feel like wasted 500 dollars. Now am on TH-cam and everyone says no water well too late for me. I have my follow up appointment in 5 weeks so not sure if after all this process it will be worth it and not all is lost
watch this video. this is what I do for all of my clients and I get great retention. Some clients don't get good retention bc they have oily skin or they bled a lot. Poor aftercare can cause poor retention but if you watch this video, you should be good to go for your touch up! 🤩 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
this video is talkign about the different kinds of healing methods. i would stick to what your artist tells you. but if you do want to watch a video on how i recommend my clients do their aftercare this video might. be better 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
@@bossbrowsla I clean them on the day of and the next day with a cotton bud a the tiniest bit of distilled water. After that I leave them alone for about 7 days and find that my brows last a very long time. I also have oily skin. I just make sure no makeup or sunscreen touches that area and I keep my workouts mild to avoid excess sweating.
Hi I got brow ombré powder procedure done 3 days ago. Day1 I was told to use provided medicated rounds every half hour for the first day. Day 2 begin washing and water rinse with provided soap completely dry and apply ointment. So on day3 (today) noticed my brows starting to get puckered and a little hard is this scabbing? Should I continue the procedure, stop it or call my artist. Hopefully this is normal! Thanks
I just had my 4th touch up and plan on continuing using the dry healing method.
that's awesome! sometimes I will use dry healing on clients if wet healing didnt work as well for them.
Good feedback. I just did my touch up and think I may do dry healing.
I did wet healing and it didn’t work out. I’m doing dry healing this time
I think this is what I’m facing. Currently on day 8 I think I’m going to discontinue use of the balm I was provided.
When they are scabbing can you wet them ?
Very oily skin here, did wet healing the first two times and about 10% stayed. Third time getting my brows done. I did the dry healing and now they look perfect. Just blotted for 2 weeks
did you do microblading? bc I would recommend ombre for oily skin. but glad its working better this time around.
So it really all depends on different factors.
of course. and there are some clients that I prefer to use the dry healing
It actually depends on the type of wound that is being healed.
I have done the wet healing process while washing the area with antibacterial soap with no fragrance. I then place a clear cream on them and they look awesome!
awesome!
I did this but.made them fade so much by day 3. Heard should not have put water on them so confused
Day 15 on me still no much scabbing 😢
😮 I’m doing the wet healing but when you said not to smother them with ointment I raced to the cotton tips and wiped off allll the excess ointment. I’m shocked how much I put on.
Lol. Ya. Probably bc it feels good to put on a lot but you want the skin to still be able to breathe.
Hello Brow Boss! I had my 6 week retouch apt yesterday and I’d like to say thank you for your guidance!

Is the healing process the same after the touch up as initial ???

I feel like a in between way worked best for me. I mainly did not apply anything, only when it started to pull and feel very dry i applied a thin layer of moisturiser in the night.
awesome!
😬 She is still doing it today for the same cheap Groupon price (despite 21% inflation since then), giving customers half the time, effort, and manners they deserve and teaching others to do the same.
that makes me so mad. it gives PMU artists a bad name
You've put me at ease and I will certainly take your advice to remain calm lol. Thank you for your response and be blessed!
Phew I have the same concern.
I actually have a great video on what to do if you think you might have an infection. 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html
That’s awesome. How do they look?
Very dark right now. I haven’t started to scab yet. But I’m ready so that I can see what they look like after it peels.
Hello, have you ever used aloe vera gel from the plant on your eyebrows? That works well and it speeds the healing process up?
haven't used straight aloe but I know its great for sun burns.
@@bossbrowsla what’s a secondary numbing cream Kristie? Xx
primary is what you put on BEFORE the skin has been injured. secondary is what u use after the skin has been injured... its usually a gel or liquid consisting of 2-4% lidocaine and epinephrine.
(I have oily/combo skin but my eyebrows feel dry the more I wash them)
I’m just so sad and now I’d I go to someone else I have to pay full price again instead of a touch up price to fix it.
I'm sorry about this experience you had.
My artist had me purchase witch hazel for wet healing. I had my touch up completed last Friday. Thank you for the rationale behind the healing process.
You’re welcome. 🤗
➡️th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
Here is a great video on how the eyebrows can get infected and what to do. ➡️th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html

@@bossbrowsla she mentioned to me that because my skin is so oily, the dye may not fully take. So I have to keep them as dry as possible.
How do they look with the dry healing ?
@@esmehan6404 how did it go with dry healing? I also have oily skin
@@Pattylove826 dry healing was definitely the way to go for me and I was diligent with dabbing (the excess oil) from my eyebrows.
Thanks for such an informative video! I'm on day 4 of healing, my artist prefers the wet healing but she doesn't want us to wash the brow area, just wipe it gently with clean water on a cotton pad. Then apply a thin layer of ointment if they feel dry or itchy. I must have wiped too hard bc a scab came off on day 3 and there was tiny bit of blood I hope I haven't messed anything up🥺
I would def ask your artist. Next time just don’t wipe as hard. Lol. But it happens to the best of us.
@@bossbrowsla hi. 4th post microblading my there are scabs and it fell off..bow my brows are aneven. Can pls someone tell me if it's normal?
Amazing straight to the point information packed video. Great!
thank you!!
@@bossbrowsla I’m combo. Got microblading yesterday. What do you recommend. My pmu gave me gel
I know they say don’t wear make up for two weeks after micro blading but is it ok if I put on some mascara ? My eyebrow are so big and black my eyes look so strange now with no mascara 🙈 I’m only on day 2 .
of course!! you just don't want to put makeup on the area that was microbladed. 👍🏻
so you can shower after getting it done? should you wait a few days after or it's okay the next day to shower?
You can for sure shower. Just don't submerge the brows in water. Here is a helpful video 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
Just had mine. Can you still use your skin care routine and make up but except the brows?
yes. as long as you arent using anything that will exfoliate your skin. 👍🏻

Thank you for the detailed and informative video. It answered all of my questions.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching. 😍
It goes over everything (including how to do combo brows and ombre- manually.) You will also get tons of hands on assignments to do at home to help you improve your Microblading and build confidence in your craft. the assignments get turned into me and I go over everything and return with tons of notes with my edits, tips and tricks to become an even better artist! here's the link if you're interested 👉🏼 trainlikeaboss.teachable.com
GOODLUCK! slay those brows 🤩✌🏼
Would love to hear how it went for you!
When you say youve had poor results do you mean the pigment didnt stay much or?
So one question how are you suppose to shower without getting your brows a little wet.
This seems like aftercare is exactly like when you do a tattoo.. you put Vaseline for 3days dont get wet then after that let it heal
I've never had a problem avoiding getting the eyebrows wet when in the shower... if you are aware of it, then you will go out of your way to not put your face directly under the water. 👍🏻 I would also recommend not taking super long, hot, steamy showers.
Check why the CC option brings a text of things unrelated to your video, both in English and another language (possibly Asian).
That is so strange and thank you for pointing that out. 🙏🏻

I am hesitant to that as I am applying ointment and was thinking I should atleast clean my eyebrows to remove ointment residue.

im doing the dry healing but so far whats flaked off has shown no pigment underneath at all :( it looks like i have less brows than before lol, idk if thats normal, my artist says they look great and pigment will come through in a week or two but all i see is light pink skin rip
your artist is correct.
Once you are completely healed you can talk to your artist about your concerns and they will (or should be) addressed at the touch up 🤗

Can you wash the brows in the first 7 days???
yes. I have a video on how I recommend to take care of the eyebrows. 👉🏼th-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/w-d-xo.html
I was starting to be impatient until this vedio
you may just heal slower
With dry do you still wash them once a day everyday or is it just the first two day you wash them don’t wet them at all?
I don't really do dry healing but since you're not applying any product to the area, you technically don't need to wash them. if they seem like they need to be washed then very gently wash them with soap and water. Just use your best judgement.
Do you numb your client for the first pass? Or is best to to do the first pass on dry skin?
yes I definitely numb them for the first pass.
@@bossbrowsla yeah, thanks boss 😊
Hi! How many days from the day of microblading can I wash my brows?
well that depends on what type of healing you're doing.

Maybe the dry healing is more suited with people with oily skin?

What cream do you use for the brows? Is Vaseline also good? My friend said her eyebrow artist told her to put vaseline on her microshaded brows.
Please advise.
I wouldn't use vaseline. its very thick/heavy. The skin needs to be able to breathe. I like the Tina Davies aftercare gel.
Mine told me to use Aquaphor
Just micro bladed my eyebrows for the first time I think for now I will try the dry healing for now
Sounds good.

How did it go?
@@Devni2002 impressive good! My brows are perfect now, so they didnt looked crazy dark when I met my boyfriend, and here i am, with my boyfriend 😁
sorry I have been super busy moving so I know this is now to late but YES! the brows will lighten a lot. The first few days the brows are super dark. There's not much you can do about it... but your bf loves you for you... 😍 not your eyebrows so I'm sure he will understand that the healing is a little bit of a process.
It's been 3 days but accidentally my eyebrows got contact with water will the colors fade away bcos of water?
no, not necessarily. just try to avoid submerging them in water. 👍🏻
Hi! I just got mine done, she told me to not wash or touch them at all except once a day add the ointment.
well I would always go with what your artist tells you to do. 👍🏻
@@bossbrowsla thank you, I will send her an email soon.
The place where I got the ombre told me to use Vaseline every 3-4 hours . I’m on day 3 and it starting to lift and fall off . The skin feels healthy though .
that seems like A LOT! you want the brows to be able to breathe.
Nervous!!!
Day 9 and mine is not peeling off is that normal?
Your skin may just heal slower. Or you may not scab over that much which is totally normal.
Absolutely love learning from you! You are phenomenal!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻 You are so sweet. Have you taken a microblading course before? Feel free to reach out. 📧 kristi@bossbrowsla.com

Can I dye my hair after microblading? I wanted to get highlights and I wasn't sure how long I have to wait.
dye your hair on your head? or eyebrow hair? you would want to wait 4 weeks after microblading to tint your eyebrows.
I did wet the area with micellar hyaluronic aloe water by Garnier and then put bepanthol cream at third day. Because i I don't like them are too dark ... i am on the 4 day....
they will lighten a lot after healing

I’m on day 2 and my strokes look too thick. Should I try wiping them off or just let them heal?
im confused? did yo already micro blade them?

What would you recommend for microshading healing?
I don't apply any products just cotton soak with water
Awesome
Your skin is amazing

Can anybody recommend a good spf with no white cash for microbladed brows please.
I think bowler just came out with a new one. Ive never used it but I would check it out.
very useful video, your eyebrows are beautiful btw
Thank you so much 🙂 Im glad u liked the video
I feel all of those aftercare institutions like “do not sweat, do not take hot showers, do not do this or that or do not get the brows wet” are just to look for excuses why the pigment did not take. I see clearly on second day which strokes took the pigment which once will pill off. It is always the artist not the healing process. If they did not get the pigment deep enough it will not stay even if you stop moving for 2 weeks 😱😂
Technique has a lot to do with pigment retention. But so does after care (believe it or not…) I would just recommend seeing someone who has plenty of experience when you want to get microblding done. 👌🏻
You’re not supposed to do any of that after a tattoo as well.
