awesome! ya you don't want to get them wet (ie:go swimming, or just let the water run on your face in the shower) but its important to wash the brows. for this the brows will only have water on them for a couple seconds and then they get dried right away. theyre not submerged in water. 👍🏻
Really loving your channel. Just got my brows done for the 3rd time in my life but always forget about the extensive aftercare. Your info is so helpful and reassuring :).
Thank you for the visual 😁 I had mine done yesterday “combo” and I love them! Trying to keep them dry and clean, with doing all the right things, it helps to see how you did it.
Thank you so much on Friday I got my eyebrows microbladed and on March 5 I’m getting the retouch to weeks without wearing make up to me is just pure suicide because I love make up so much. The first day I end up looking like the red bird from the Angry Birds movie. The lady did a phenomenal job I cannot wait to get The retouch on March 5 and thank God I did not do it over the summer.
washing and getting them wet are different. you don;'t want to get your brows wet in the first 10-14 days (ie: no swimming) but you DO need to clean the brows with soap and water. however, you are barely getting them "wet"- just dabbing a small amount of water on the brows to rinse off the soap. its not enough to cause any damage
@@bossbrowsla I really dislike how you guys word this. And it may just sound critical or negative, but I’m really saying it to inform you, and possibly implement change. Teaching should be as simple as possible. Giving instructions should be direct. If you review instructions to your client and they may confuse them, you might want to think about permanently changing the way you say things, as this client is probably not the first one. The lady that did my eyebrows told me over and over don’t get them wet! Then put a small paper of instructions in the bag that were overlooked... I did not wash them or get them wet because I was told not to get them “wet” which translates to putting water on them at ALL. You just made a $400+ investment. When someone says something strong like DONT GET THEM WET, it sticks... Do not get wet means do not allow any water on them at all. Maybe you should change your wording. Maybe omit “don’t get them wet” and say, “do not SUBMERGE your brows in water, or let them stay in a constant stream for the first 15 days. BUT do gently wash them beginning day one”. If you add in a follow up sentence, and your follow up sentence further exasperates the difference in the your first sentence, it really helps knowledge stick. Really focus on telling people to clean them. You’d be surprised how many people miss that bit of info and don’t end up talking about it. I may have lost a lot of color in my investment due to poor and confusing instructions and I see a lot of women think this based on who I’ve talked to and the comments I’ve seen. Thankfully we trade services so she will fix it, but some people aren’t that lucky. Thanks!
I think this is great and I’m including it in my aftercare, people like visuals. When the client is on the bed... I’ll speak about the ‘getting wet’ part to ensure they get it.
How long do you wait to use the aftercare ointment? Do you use it the very same day you had microblading done? Or do you have to wait a few days for them to heal before you can apply it? My aftercare card just said "do what the esthetician says" but she didn't say exactly when to use the ointment and I don't want to put it on too early!
this was so helpful, thank you. Ive had my eyebrows microbladed a couple of times now, and Ive been so confused about aftercare and how im supposed to clean them, without getting them wet. lol
oh ya! It's technically a wound... and just like a wound, you have to take care of it so it heals properly and doesn't get infected. Also, provides for beautiful results
Thanks for this video. I've just 1 day ago had ombre brows done and the washing instructions were not very clear for me but your demonstration has shown me that o was doing it correctly ❤
I can see how that is confusing. What that means is you want to keep them clean by gently washing them 1-2x a day, especially if you are using a product (like shown in the video). I guess I should've used the word "submerge"... do NOT submerge them in water for the first 10-14 days. Here's another video that explains the difference between wet and dry healing. 👉🏼 th-cam.com/video/VJ6JpAg6cfw/w-d-xo.html
You are so beautiful! I love your eyebrows and eyes. Thank you for this well-explained video. I just had microblading 3 days ago. I haven't shampooed yet because I am scared of wetting my eyebrows.
thank you. youre so sweet! just boosted my self confidence. and try taking a bath and washing your hair in the bath. or even go get a blow out if your worried.
Hi Kristi, I am beyond happy I found your channel. I’m learning SOOOO much from you. What a aesthetic do you use on your clients? And it seems you apply it after you’re completely done with the initial appointment, correct? Would you also apply it after their touch up? Thank you, please keep posting more videos! Xoxo
hi thanks for watching! I'm glad it helps. I just want to clarify what your question is. are you talking about the anesthetic or the after care serum? I have a video on how I apply my numbing cream if that's. what your talking about. th-cam.com/video/ac52491T1Fg/w-d-xo.html if that's not what youre talking about please clarify so I can better assist.
Please, give me some advice. I had my eyebrows microbladed two month ago. I was told not to wet them, and if it’s not necessary to don’t put the cream I received from the clinic where I made them. Basically keep them dry. So, this was what I did. After one week my done eyebrows were literally falling off my skin. It was looking like a dry scar, I don’t know if you know what I mean. Of course, after two weeks I had no visible work done on them, just my normal eyebrow hair. Yesterday I made them again in the same clinic, different method and pigment. They look awesome, but I’m terribly scared that the same thing will happen. They feel very dry on my skin and I can already see that the same is coming, that’s why I decided to wet them a little bit with a cotton bud, dry it completely, and then with another cotton bud I applied a very thin layer of the cream. They feel better, not so stiff on my skin. The thing is that I was told by the lady that made my eyebrows that my skin doesn’t want to keep the pigment, I wasn’t bleeding at all during the process, and it was hard to keep the pigment in my skin. It took a long time and a lot of work. I’m really worried, I don’t know if I should keep doing what I was told to do or just try a little bit different way. Please answer 💖
when people bleed a lot its either bc the artist is going way too deep or the client has sensitive skin (usually the latter) I have a lot of clients with sensitive skin and in that case microblading strokes isn't always the best option bc its a "cut" or "scratch" IN the skin. so it cause more trauma to the skin than machine shading (the ombre brow) would do. I would use the cream when it feels super dry and tight but don't over do it. and wash the brows one time a day with antibacterial soap and water so there is no build up of product.
Awesome, thank you! I'm glad its helpful! I try to post videos every other Tuesday. I was going to go live yesterday but was not feeling well so ive rescheduled that for this Thursday at 11:30am (central time)
I'm on day eight of my touch up. I did this for my aftercare, but now should I continue to wash my brows every day? Should I apply an aftercare ointment? My eyebrows started to flake two days ago. Thank you!!! :)
im so sorry I'm just now responding. but I would recommend doing absolutely nothing. you don't want to accidentally wash off the scabs. therefore after day 5 (or once you start scabbing) I would recommend just leaving them alone. however, I would also suggest asking your Microblading artist what they recommend. 👍🏻
I was told not to wash them at all… my eyes started to bother me a lot! Like if i had an eye infection… I washed my micro bladed micro shaded eyebrows today ~ day 7~ for the first time following your video… hope I don’t get an infection 😢
everyone does it a little differently. I have other videos on different types of aftercare and what to do if you think the brows are infected (just my advice but im not a doctor) ➡️ th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html
I actually don't do eyeliner and lips. I do plan on doing lips soon but I would ask someone else who has more experience. sorry I couldn't be more helpful. 🤷🏼♀️
Hi! What is the best moisturizer to use to just maintain your brows after it has healed or do you have any recommendations? Love your videos! Thank you
@@bossbrowsla Do you mind my asking which face lotion you use on your eyebrows? My Cerave has hydraulic acid and I was told not to use this but most all facial moisturizers have this (or some form of acid). Thank you for your videos!!!!
Thanks for the video! I was told to not wash them or get them wet for as long as possible, but once it starts scabbing to put the aftercare cream... so I'm a bit at loss, should I follow their instructions or yours huhu
sorry for the late response but aftercare instructions vary depending on the artist. The way I show you how to take care of the eyebrows is what I found to be the best and easiest for clients. Doesn't mean what you did was wrong... just different.
I have to say thank you so VERY much for this video! I was too so confused about do not get them wet but wash them! lol! Your video cleared everything up plus showed very clear step by step visual instructions on how to clean them! Thank you so much!
I wish the after-care instructions I got were this clear. Mine were no getting it wet (not even the small amount your did) and apply product 2 x daily. Scabbed? 24hrs in and developed an infection.
Hi! Thank you for your helpful video... I got a combination service done, microblading and microshading (she used 2 different tools). I got them done on Monday (5 days ago) and it is now Friday Day 5. I've been gently cleaning them morning and night and applying A&D ointment each time after. I started noticing big scabs this morning. Should I continue to use ointment or completely leave them alone? I don't want to mess anything up. Also when do you think I can exercise if I minimize my sweating and blot my head/brows during? Thank you in advance for any advice!
When you purchase the Tina Davies aftercare serum it comes with the cards. Or you could make your own. We actually made our own which has some other info on the cards but the Tina Davies ones work great also.
Hey! Do you mind me asking which anesthetic with epinephrine you put on right after you’re done micro blading? Is it the same as the one you put on before? Also what is it called? Thanks 🙏
I have a lot of build up on my eyebrows.. Like when I go to wash them there's this thickness coming off them. They're also scabbing, so I don't want to try rubbing that thickness off and accidentally pulling off the scabs. What do I do? Also, the scabs are coming off with ALL of the pigment and I'm getting worried I just wasted $300....
first off, the brows have to scab over however it should really only be a thin film. if there is a thick scab the skin will not be. able to breath which means it can't heal itself. this is when an infection can occur. im not saying that that's. the case for you (I don't even know what ur brows look like ) im just warning u to keep an eye on it. the scabs have to come off eventually. it doesn't mean that pigment is falling out. as long as they fall off naturally and u didn't pick them off then you should be fine. your Microblading artist should ve explained the healing process. after 10-14 days, once all of the scabs have fallen off the brows will look 40% lighter. that is normal. color will re-appear once completely healed (30 days)but I would have this chat with your artist. 👍🏻
I cannot thank you enough for this instructional video. It was instrumental in my microblading aftercare. I use Cerave moisturizing lotion on my face (helps minimizes acne) but it has hyaluronic acid. My brows do get dry and need to be moisturized but I want to protect the color retention. What would you recommend that is safe and would not damage color retention? Thank you!
If you’re asking what after care to use- I really like Tina Davies aftercare serum. I’ve NEVER had any problems with it. I’ve also use Lexi bowlers after care serum when Tina Davies was out of stock. Don’t have as much experience with it and haven’t had a chance to use it personally on my own brows but haven’t had any complaints. She does have an aftercare serum that is better suited for oily/sensitive skin. Here is the link 👉🏻 shop.bowleresthetics.com/products/sensitive-skin-aftercare-lotion?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_pid=5209050448006&pr_ref_pid=5206322512006&pr_seq=uniform
Thank you for your reply and suggestions. My apologies for the confusion: I’m on day 15 of healing. All of my scabs have fallen off and I am done with the aftercare. My brows look terrific! Prior to microblading, when I moisturized my face, I would apply facial moisturizer all over my face including my brows. My current facial moisturizer has hyaluronic acid which I was told by my microblade artist it would diminish color retention. She also mentioned not to use any serums or ointments on brows at all. At this time, I’m not using any moisturizer on my brows but they are dry and be thrilled for recommendations regarding safe lotion/moisturizer that would not damage color retention.
thanks for watching. yes, when you are applying aftercare serum 2-3x/day its imperative to wash. this way there isn't a buildup of product on the brows during the healing process. (otherwise there is a chance of infection)
So do that Cetaphil treatment after 14 days? Or during the 14 days? So far I'm about 48 hours into a retouch after 4 years of not having it. I took a bath but made sure it wasn't too hot. I took a shower but just made sure not to put my face in the water and made sure it wasn't too steamy. Brows are great. I'm using aquaphor right now :)
Yes it can work for ombré as well. It’s the same healing process. The scabs just may look a little different. I usually have them was the next day bc I wash their brows for them after the procedure with a tattoo soap so it’s not necessary.
Hi! I was told to wash my brows the night of and am now realizing by your video that I should have been wiping since I got out of the appointment. I now have that scabby residu of blood and what not, should I soak/pick to try and clean it or just leave it?
sorry for the late response.. prob too late now. but just for future reference, there is more than one way for aftercare. This is just how I have my clients take care of their brows after the procedure.
My eyebrows are powder brows, and they have started scabbing up day 3. I'm washing my brows, but not using any ointment. If my brows started scabbing day 3, should I stop washing them at day 3 so my scabs don't fall off? Or keep washing them till day 5?
yes I would stop washing if you're already scabbing over. We want those scabs to stay on as long as possible. Let them fall off organically. But you can always ask your artist as well.
thats awesome! 🤗 Me, personally... I LOVE cetaphil. The bar soap. I feel like its a little more gentle and not as drying. Here is the link to purchase on amazon. ➡️www.amazon.com/dp/B074ZGHFRM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Hi, I got my combination brows done last night and I was told not to wash them only apply cream twice a day after the 48hrs, would a Clinique cleanser soap work if I washed them ? Thank you
Hello dear, after how many days of Microblading can we wet the brows. I don’t know how to wash my hair. I got them done on October 11. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! TIA
Are all of the scabs on both eyebrows completely gone? If so, then yes. I tell my clients they can go about normal activities: getting their brows wet, makeup, swimming, etc once ALL of the scabs have fallen off naturally. Usually this process takes anywhere from 10-14 days
Hi there, i just wanna say that i really find your videos helpful. and also i recently had my microblading done and i'm on my day 10th or 11th of mircoblading, it seems like my scabs are somehow gone. My question is, Is it okay to apply makeup now? Since the shape of my brows are thin i would like to make them thicker, is it okay to do my brows now?
good question. Usually all of the scabs are off between 10-14 days. Once ALL of the scabbing is completely gone then u can definitely wear makeup. You may need to since you haven't had your touch up yet.
Quick question i got mines done yesterday how soon would i start the aftercare procedure? got mines done around yesterday in the night is it okay to start cleaning them now?
I would follow the instructions your artist gave you. But yes, if you are using a gel or serum 2-3x a day I would highly recommend cleansing at least once a day. 👍🏻
Did my microblading 3 days ago, I'm on the 4th day. I did absolutely nothing to them so far, even the washing part I ddnt wash them at all. I don't see a lot of scabbing. Only the first day I gently wiped with water like my microblading artist told me (twice). After that they havent smelled water since then! They didn't ooze anything n i didn't see discharge. The microblading artist told me she's not going to give me an ointment because my skin is mixed and it tends to be oily!! I just need to know when can I have a normal shower where I can wash my whole face without worrying about my eyebrows! ??
So you can totally shower. Just minimize super long/hot/steamy showers as this will open the pores. When you’re in the shower just try to avoid water on the face as much as possible. Once those scabs have completely fallen off (naturally) then you can go back to normal routine. Getting face wet and so on...
Ya. So she might be worried about your strokes blurring. (Although microblding isn’t great for people who have oilier skin bc they don’t get as good of results- not sure if that’s what you did 🤷🏼♀️) but there are different healing methods for permanent makeup/tattoos. I was just sharing what I have my clients do. But here is a link to a video where I explain the difference between the two. 👉🏻 m.th-cam.com/video/VJ6JpAg6cfw/w-d-xo.html Regardless, if you are concerned just talk to your artist bc I’m confident she has a good reason for your after care approach 👌🏻
I saw with the Tina Davies serum the AWM method, where she says to wash the first 1-7 days. you said the scabs form after 5 and you should be not washing at that point. does it just depend on when your scabs form, and then you should stop washing? thank you so much for this video!
I love Tina Davies serum and her aftercare formula. However, I have found better results when you stop washing after 5 days. for two reasons: 1) it makes it more simple for the client. serum and wash days 1-5. 😉 2.) I find that washing too much dries the skin out bc you are using antibacterial soap on the face. Especially if you already have dry skin- this is only going to dry the skin out more which in turn will dry out those little scabs. When the scabs dry out they start to crack and fall off prematurely. This is why I just simplify it and say to wash days 1-5 only.. but Tina Davies way is not wrong. Just different ways of doing aftercare.
How do you need to clean your forehead in the first 14 days? Also can you use any skin care on your forehead not very close to the eyebrows? My skin is very dry and if i don't use anything to moisturize it,will drive me crazy 😂
yes absolutely. I use those face wipes to clean my makeup off during healing and then just use a wash cloth for cleansing. and I absolutely use lotion on my forehead.
My artist told me to wash my eyebrows with soup and apply the ointment she provided for me 2 times a day until all the scabs have fallen off. Do think I should've stopped after the 5th day?
I like to stop washing once those scabs have formed bc I don't want to accidentally pull them off but again... there are many ways to do aftercare so just discuss with your artist.
I had done microblading and shading , on a tattoo which was powder 2 years ago , was looking lovely , she told me to keep them moisturiser and not dry at all, and first 30 min after session to clean the limfas , that yellow thing that comes out from brow , then to keep applay from 3h in 3 h a cream for 48h then for 2 weeks to apply 3 times a day that cream and of course to clean with a wet cotton wool before each application.. however in the first 24h when I tried to clean the area I saw on the Cotton wool pigment on it … little bit , I mean after each swipe .. then now I am at day 5 and I have scabs … I start having them since day 3 or 4th day … and now in some areas seems the tattoo it’s gone I mean I can’t see the strokes from microbleading … it’s that okay … ??? I did something wrong ??? Btw my skin it’s combination oily+ dry …and I am kind of disappointed. Bcz I paid lots of money and they was looking so so beautiful :(
Don’t worry. There are many different recommendations for aftercare. This is just what I have my clients do. And it sounds like you’re going through the process that everyone goes through. I have a good video on what to expect after getting PMU/Microblading done. ➡️ m.th-cam.com/video/dWyFk4jsQmE/w-d-xo.html Also, do you have a complimentary touch up? We provide complimentary touch ups in the first 8-12 weeks. Some people charge extra for it but they are almost always needed to ensure all of the pigment stays and the brows look perfect.
Hey, i just got the Ombre Microshading combo Brow Session done 3 days ago, my artist told me not to get it wet until 48 hrs, im Comfused cause I don’t even know if im even supposed to clean them cause the artist told me I don’t have to only if i feel like i have to make no sense to me.can i used any kind of antibactirial Soap?
so this is just what I recommend to my clients. There are more than one way to do your aftercare. If your artist has you using an ointment like the serum from this video, then you would want to wash them so there is no buildup of product on the eyebrows.
Which dial antibacterial soap specifically is ok to use? want to make sure I get the right one (Have my touch up in a week) first time around used cetaphil as my artist told me to but found out mid healing that every cetaphil cleanser now has niacinamide in it which is a big no no during healing than told to switch to cerave but it has hyaluronic acid and it also says not to use that😩 want to make sure I use the right cleanser for my touch up super paranoid now.. any recommendations/tips would be greatly appreciated ❤
Okay so I have been washing them but I think I used too much soap and water , also I used a light stroking motion to wash instead of patting. Do you think i caused any damage? I e only had them done for 2 days and when I apply ointment I also do it in a stroking motion. I’m worried I messed them up. They look fine, but idk! I need to pat/tap not stroke/rub (even if it is lightly ?)
don't stress, it sounds like you are doing it just fine. I always tell my clients the more they obsess about the aftercare, the more they end up fussing with/touching the eyebrows. Less=more! It's inevitable to have some fading and some of the pigment not stay but that's okay because that is what the touch up appointment is for. 😉
yes that's perfect. I used to use coconut oil for my clients but the only thing is that the. seed or coconut oil is not medical grade its food grade. That is why I use the Tina Davies serum.
I should have watched this sooner. I didn't understand the aftercare well and washed it often with a lot of soap and water so needles needless to saynits day 3 and lost almost all of pigment infact don't see any color where its come off, will my follow up appointment in 5 weeks fix it or is the follow up appointment dependent on good results from the first round? Or does it just mean she will have to redo it again from scratch during my after care thus necessitating another follow up
I am on day 7 of my micro blading eyebrows and they are not stabbing. I never touched my eyebrows or get them wet at all and only used the healing ointment very sparingly in the first couple of days. Any ideas what's happening? Or am I just being impatient 😅 my eyebrows are still looking very dark like the first day
is petroleum jelly ok on newly microbladed brows? or Vaseline? (I thought they were similar?) I did not use enough the first time around so they were isanely itchy and I picked them!! I can't wreck them again :( my girl said to use vaseline...a lot...all the time....but can they heal if I do this?
I would just be careful to not use too much. The skin needs oxygen to heal and if you use too much the skin can breathe. Usually 3 times a day is the Max.
do you have oily skin? if so microblading strokes aren't the best for your skin type. but if your skin is normal to dry then it should be fine. You can't help it if you sweat more. just avoid activities that will make you sweat even more for the first two weeks
@@bossbrowsla thanks I can get oily skin or dry and flaky it all depends on how skin feels. It's a pain! I got them done almost a week ago now. Alot fading and dissapearing so hopefully it's just from flaking and scabs etc
I don’t get it. You said that we should avoid getting the eyebrow wet for 10 days but then said they need to be washed once or twice a day. Would you mind clarifying it?
so you don't want to submerge the eyebrows in water. it's important to wash the brows 1-2x a day very gently in order to prevent any excess serum from building up.
Well the skin will always heal itself from the outside in… some people will see a thin film which is what I’m referring to when I say the word scab. For others it’s not as bad.
Hi. I am on day 18 and my brows are still scabbing and flaking? I began scabbing at 12 day. I was told that I can wet my brows and continue regula activities
@@bossbrowsla I got ombré brows done 9/4. I use the wet method: antiallergenic baby wipes to clean by patting then a thin layer of Aquaphor. It’s 9/10 and my brows have not changed. I’m 65 so does that mean my skin is healing slower?
surprisingly, I haven't used it. I'm pretty sure that is a Phi product... and phi is a great brand so im sure its good. Have you tried it? do you like it?
Hi BossBrows. I just had my microbladed done about 10 days ago, and i dont like it.. I dont have plan to do my First touch up and i just want let it fade on its own.. is it a good idea? I hope you can help me :( Thank you
ya if you don't like it then I wouldn't go over it again. I would however at least let the. artist know. You never know she/he may have some suggestions for you.
are you talking about after the brows are healed? I wouldn't use that while you're in the healing process. but after you can put it on your face without swiping it over your brows.
easy... just avoid submerging the brows in water. personally, I take baths but ive taken a shower during the healing process and it wasn't too difficult to avoid getting them wet. 👍🏻
For my artist they told me since day one to pat wash my brows day and night everyday? I’ve been pat washing every 2 days and only once in the morning and their super dry! Applying some aquaphor now 😊!
I usually only wash once a day bc I find it dries the skin out but its not incorrect to wash twice a day. just different artists have different methods of aftercare. I don't want to tell you not to listen to your artist but if its drying out too fast then I would prop only wash once a day,
I got my eyebrows done yesterday, I washed them like you did before I went to bed.. I woke up at 3am and they started scabbing.. it’s only been the first day.. Idk why I’m doing wrong because I heard it’s bad if they scab early
Are you sure it was a scab? Bc it will look darker the next day bc it gets oxidized. Making the pigment look darker. 🤷🏼♀️ either way I would just ask your artist. 👍🏻
Soooo I just got microblading done today. I’m a Personal Trainer also,. The gym is hot and just standing makes me sweat. I kept dabbing my eyebrows with a clean towel. I just wanna make sure my accidental sweat won’t infect my fresh brows😩 Send help!
Sorry for the late response. But just do your best to avoid getting the brows wet or super sweaty. If you need to dab them dry then use a clean tissue. 💯
Hope you’d be able to read this. I had my eyebrows microbladed with microshading last May 18. I noticed my brows are already flaking last night and when I woke up today May 22 , a huge flake had already fallen off. Is that normal? It seems a bit early than the time period they usually say.
I’m sorry I’m just now seeing this. I hope your eyebrows healed okay. Some people scab over quicker than others. If pigment did come off you can have your artist fix that at the touch up. No worries. 😉
OF COURSE! that is one of the steps in my aftercare process. if you don't wash them you can get an infection. Im so sorry that happened to you that must have been terrible... hope youre better now. 🤞🏻
I noticed when I use retinol it really stated to fade them and should I stick with cerve face wash because I used black soap and also noticed they were fading
Are you talking about during the healing process.? Or in general? Bc with every skin turn (usually about 28 days) the brows will get lighter. It’s subtle but that’s why every 1-3 years they need to get touched up. You just have to decide what’s more important… you can still do skin treatments that you like but they may also speed up the fading. 🤷🏼♀️
That’s for the video. I was so confused being told not to get them wet, but also told to wash them. Now I get it!
awesome! ya you don't want to get them wet (ie:go swimming, or just let the water run on your face in the shower) but its important to wash the brows. for this the brows will only have water on them for a couple seconds and then they get dried right away. theyre not submerged in water. 👍🏻
yes, same here! This was helpful!
Do u wash with Cetaphil and water
Thank you for the video was really helpful!!
I'm so confused I was told no water at all for 7 days...but having other tattoos and obviously cuts before cleaning is key. So I'll wash like this.
Really loving your channel. Just got my brows done for the 3rd time in my life but always forget about the extensive aftercare. Your info is so helpful and reassuring :).
oh good!

my son said tat i looked like an angry bird too just recently.😅
I’m confused... First you said don’t wet for 10-14 days then you said day 1-5 wash them... I don’t get it 😖
washing and getting them wet are different. you don;'t want to get your brows wet in the first 10-14 days (ie: no swimming) but you DO need to clean the brows with soap and water. however, you are barely getting them "wet"- just dabbing a small amount of water on the brows to rinse off the soap. its not enough to cause any damage

Thanks!
@@duxwiththefux i see how your experience defintley helps with better wording. thank you. 🙏🏻
I think this is great and I’m including it in my aftercare, people like visuals. When the client is on the bed... I’ll speak about the ‘getting wet’ part to ensure they get it.
@@helengodlonton3745 That’s awesome! Taking constructive criticism helps you be the best. ✨ Keep trying for your clients!
I finally set my appointment and I'm a mixed bag of nuts about it lol throughly excited tho!
Is your appointment with me? or someone else? Either way thats super exciting!!
I use the ointment for the first 5 days (am and pm). Day one would be the first day you got the procedure done. (so I start that night)
this was so helpful, thank you. Ive had my eyebrows microbladed a couple of times now, and Ive been so confused about aftercare and how im supposed to clean them, without getting them wet. lol
Glad it was helpful!
Who would have thot there was a right and wrong way for micro blading brow care! Thanks you kristi!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for explaining this. It’s been so confusing. Reading forums/instructions. Such as wash them but don’t get them wet. I’m like what?!
Xoxo
*sorry, anesthetic
hi thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video, I really appreciate it.

Great after care instructions thank you!
You're welcome!
Your channel is awesome! I've learned so much from you. Thank you!
I miss read the after care instructions, I was supposed to washed them just like you explained in your video. 😢
Hi christina,
I really love your videos, very informative. Can you show us after care for Lips and EyeLiner as well. TIA.
Thank you
I don't use moisturizer after the healing process is complete... besides my regular face lotion.
@@bossbrowsla Do you mind my asking which face lotion you use on your eyebrows? My Cerave has hydraulic acid and I was told not to use this but most all facial moisturizers have this (or some form of acid). Thank you for your videos!!!!
super informative, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I’m glad it helped. 😍
Hello i just got my brow microbladed yesterday.. when’s the right time to start working out? I want to go to the gym badly
I would just be careful the first 10-14 days. Minimize super sweaty workouts.
this was extremely helpful thank you
You're welcome!
Where did you order your after care card?? Love the idea
it comes with the aftercare serum from Tina Davies website 👍🏻tinadavies.com
Soo helpful thank you!!! Love your outfit x
You're so welcome! And thank you!!!!
I wish the after-care instructions I got were this clear. Mine were no getting it wet (not even the small amount your did) and apply product 2 x daily. Scabbed? 24hrs in and developed an infection.
im so sorry. that's awful.
I tell my clients to stop using product after day 5. I would always just check with your artist though. see what he'/she says. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video🥰🤗
You are so welcome!
Where can I get those aftercare cards? I’m a new artist
Thanks 🙏
Not at all and I think I have a video on it. ➡️th-cam.com/video/f-QWuhXqI30/w-d-xo.html
At this time, I’m not using any moisturizer on my brows but they are dry and be thrilled for recommendations regarding safe lotion/moisturizer that would not damage color retention.
thank you . i didn't know about the washing thing.
thanks for watching. yes, when you are applying aftercare serum 2-3x/day its imperative to wash. this way there isn't a buildup of product on the brows during the healing process.
I would recommend just washing for the first 5 days
love the video… my only problem was how long that water was left running while unused 😅😅
oh gosh. I hear it all the time from everyone. lol. Being from California... I know better 🤣 guess I just got caught up in the video.
Can this also be an aftercare for ombre brows? . Can clients wash brows at night on the day of procedure or is it best the next day? Thanks!
Yes it can work for ombré as well. It’s the same healing process. The scabs just may look a little different. I usually have them was the next day bc I wash their brows for them after the procedure with a tattoo soap so it’s not necessary.
I'm a beautician with the license in microblading and I've been looking for a good numbing cream what numbing cream do you use?
thats awesome. Here is a great video with the anesthetics I use ➡️th-cam.com/video/f-QWuhXqI30/w-d-xo.html
So I just got mine done on May 19,2021. What's the longest I can wait before scheduling my retouch?
it depends. I do complimentary touch ups but they. have to be done 8-12 weeks after the initial app.
@@bossbrowsla thanks so much 🙂
So washing them ( durning healing) won’t fade the color?
as long as you are being super gentle and just tapping the brows with soap (not exfoliating) 👍🏻
hi what Dial soap did you use exactly? i also ordered the eyebrow serum after watching this thank u so much 🥺🤍

Such a great video thanks for the information
Thanks for watching.
Hi, I got my combination brows done last night and I was told not to wash them only apply cream twice a day after the 48hrs, would a Clinique cleanser soap work if I washed them ? Thank you
I would just use a regular antibacterial soap.
Hello dear, after how many days of Microblading can we wet the brows. I don’t know how to wash my hair. I got them done on October 11. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! TIA
10-14 days.
Hi, Can the serum be put on immediately after the treatment?
yes! just make sure you clean the brows first.
My scabs have started falling on day 4 until day 6-7 I’m currently on day 8 can I use brow pencil?
Is this procedure the same for ombré brows? I was told to use the ointment until finished peeling and avoid washing
Yes. You can do this same aftercare for ombré brows. 💯🤗
Me too! I’m on day 2 and my artist told me I have oily skin so she didn’t give me an ointment.
👉🏻 m.th-cam.com/video/VJ6JpAg6cfw/w-d-xo.html
Regardless, if you are concerned just talk to your artist bc I’m confident she has a good reason for your after care approach 👌🏻
THIN LAYER of Aquafor is very important. Wash 2x a day.
VERY IMPORTANT. `100% accurate!
@@bossbrowsla Thank you 😊
I only saw Dial antibacterial foaming hand soap, are all the antibacterial hand soaps safe on eyebrows?
Any non scented anti bacterial soap is fine. My favorite is cetaphil
The water :((
Close the faucet if you're not using it, please 😔😔
Other than that, very informative ❤️
lol... got it. being from California this is a NO GO.
I was having anxiety from it idk why
➡️ m.th-cam.com/video/dWyFk4jsQmE/w-d-xo.html
Also, do you have a complimentary touch up? We provide complimentary touch ups in the first 8-12 weeks. Some people charge extra for it but they are almost always needed to ensure all of the pigment stays and the brows look perfect.
Hey, i just got the
Ombre Microshading combo Brow Session done 3 days ago, my artist told me not to get it wet until 48 hrs, im Comfused cause I don’t even know if im even supposed to clean them cause the artist told me I don’t have to only if i feel like i have to make no sense to me.can i used any kind of antibactirial Soap?
so this is just what I recommend to my clients. There are more than one way to do your aftercare. If your artist has you using an ointment like the serum from this video, then you would want to wash them so there is no buildup of product on the eyebrows.
Im a bran new certified microblade artisit, and im wondering, with good stroke technique, which pigment brands are good quality?
Good question. What were you introduced to in your training? The ones I recommend are Phi, I ❤️ Ink by Tina Davies. and Permablend.
So I lost the balm I got for aftercare. Is it okay to use aquaphor??????!??!
yes! you can also use coconut oil. 😉
I like cetaphil personally. its more gentle
I’ve got build up of ointment gel I’m on day 7.. can I wash them with cetaphil how you did? Pls tell me….. they are looking crusty!!!
Definitely wash them. Here’s a good video ➡️ m.th-cam.com/video/vFdBp_53xeQ/w-d-xo.html
My specialist has me just using baby soap to clean them. Is that okay? Seed oil after that
yes that's perfect.
Or does it just mean she will have to redo it again from scratch during my after care thus necessitating another follow up
Don't stress. it's going to be okay, 👍 ✅ That's what touch ups are for 😉
On what day do you recommend applying clear sunscreen?
I would never apply sunscreen or anything else but the serum to the brows for those first 2 weeks or until all of the scabs have fallen off.
I am on day 7 of my micro blading eyebrows and they are not stabbing. I never touched my eyebrows or get them wet at all and only used the healing ointment very sparingly in the first couple of days. Any ideas what's happening? Or am I just being impatient 😅 my eyebrows are still looking very dark like the first day
some people heal slower. that's okay. if youre concerned, then reach out to the artist and see what he/she says. 👍🏻
is petroleum jelly ok on newly microbladed brows? or Vaseline? (I thought they were similar?) I did not use enough the first time around so they were isanely itchy and I picked them!! I can't wreck them again :( my girl said to use vaseline...a lot...all the time....but can they heal if I do this?
I would just be careful to not use too much. The skin needs oxygen to heal and if you use too much the skin can breathe. Usually 3 times a day is the Max.
Thank you for the video
You're welcome
@@bossbrowsla can I ask you a question? In which clients we deny mictoblading???which allergies???if you have in metal???? Should you do???
I am getting mine done next week. I sweat ALOT even when it's not hot. Actually a bit worried about it how much will it effect my eyebrows ?
do you have oily skin? if so microblading strokes aren't the best for your skin type. but if your skin is normal to dry then it should be fine.
Mine tell me not to get them wet for two days???? And to not touch it? Do k still do this or follow this lady?
there are different types of healing. I would do whatever works best for you. but if you have questions, ask your microblading artist.
Oh damn i think i f’d up. My artist explained it to me but it was a bit confusing. I didn’t pat the first day or use the serum multiple times a day 😩
Don’t stress. Just reach out to your artist and have them re-explain the aftercare. You will be okay. 🙏🏻👌🏻
Does aftercare differ for nanoblading? I’m under the impression it shouldn’t scab?
Well the skin will always heal itself from the outside in… some people will see a thin film which is what I’m referring to when I say the word scab. For others it’s not as bad.
Which disposable blades do you recommend?
I love U blades 😍 here's what I use 👉🏼bossbrowsla.com/online-store/ols/products/disposable-18mm-u-blade
Hi. I am on day 18 and my brows are still scabbing and flaking? I began scabbing at 12 day. I was told that I can wet my brows and continue regula activities
Wow. Still scabbing over. That’s crazy. Everyone heals a little differently depending on age, skin, etc. are the scabs almost gone?
@@bossbrowsla yes they are. Finally. I was freaking out. Thank you :)
@@bossbrowsla I got ombré brows done 9/4. I use the wet method: antiallergenic baby wipes to clean by patting then a thin layer of Aquaphor. It’s 9/10 and my brows have not changed. I’m 65 so does that mean my skin is healing slower?
How do you feel about skin candy ointment?
surprisingly, I haven't used it.
Do you have any techniques on how to apply Tretinoin and avoid getting it on the brows?
are you talking about after the brows are healed? I wouldn't use that while you're in the healing process. but after you can put it on your face without swiping it over your brows.
@@bossbrowsla yes after they’re healed
You are amazing!
Thank you!!
How do you take a shower then for the first 12 days ?
easy... just avoid submerging the brows in water. personally, I take baths but ive taken a shower during the healing process and it wasn't too difficult to avoid getting them wet. 👍🏻
Can u work out if your face doesn’t sweat?
Sure just make sure you are doing workouts that don't cause you to sweat too much.
Does This work also for eyebrow shading ?
the serum and aftercare instructions works for any PMU service on the eyebrows. 💯
How long after the second microblad can we do the washing the eye brows?
are you referring to the touch up? bc the aftercare is the exact same for the touch up. hopefully I understood your question.
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Soooo I just got microblading done today. I’m a Personal Trainer also,. The gym is hot and just standing makes me sweat. I kept dabbing my eyebrows with a clean towel. I just wanna make sure my accidental sweat won’t infect my fresh brows😩
Send help!
Sorry for the late response. But just do your best to avoid getting the brows wet or super sweaty. If you need to dab them dry then use a clean tissue. 💯
I’m on day 3 and they are scabbing. Should I stop cleaning and using the ointment
I would always ask your artist. 😉
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
No worries. 😉
Please advice everyone to wash their eyes! I got a horrible eye infection for not washing my eyes while letting my eyebrows heal 😭😭😭
OF COURSE! that is one of the steps in my aftercare process. if you don't wash them you can get an infection. Im so sorry that happened to you that must have been terrible... hope youre better now. 🤞🏻
can I wash my eyebrows when my scabs have fallen off?
if they have all fallen off then YES!!
@@bossbrowsla yes thank you for answering!
I don't get it. They say not to get them wet for 10 days but then you wash them. So which is it??
Let me re-phrase... don't submerge them in water.
