You can tell people like Paula are creatives at heart, pushing to find a solution and not being afraid to fail. And when you yearn to find a job or client where you have this freedom you will continue to grow not only as a designer, but as a person. Money is not why we are creatives, it's not what motivates us, its the freedom of expression.

      @@thefutur Indeed. But to continue....
I was fortune to see Tinkel from the episode of Air Jordan. Again I wanted to introduce myself. But I couldn't I believe he had bodyguards.(I mean he's worth millions to nike) and there were a bunch of priviledge people around ..sigh...
However, there was gonna be a session of questions you could ask. I Attended and sat straight across him. There were only three questions to ask.
Obviosly people ask simple question like do you draw on paper or on your ipad.I was mad. But I insisted and made a gesture to noticed me. For a 4th question.
He did noticed me and allow me to ask a question. Thanks for what I learn in the futur. I knew I had to ask a good question
I asked him. " you mentioned there is a narrative almost like a story on designing the jordan shoes based on what charateristics and interests are behind the athlete persona. There is alot work and attention put into this. But... when this shoe is sold to us for the public. Is there a rection or connections you expect for us too understand the mount of value that was put on to the design"
I wanted to know how at what part he measures success. Is it when the athlete approves the design or when the public fells in love with the design. Thats tough to meet the expectation.
He lean back... and said that's a good question!
I felt proud of myself. That I did not hesitate!
Hopefully you guys had the chance to see this. Sorry for the typos.
Chris annd teams thanks for your hard work. You guys are helping lots of people out there. So sacred.

Graphic design, in general, is very relative, in contrast to other disciplines. Nowadays one day, or even one hour "course" ho to become a designer, are killing ethics, quality and professionalism. Since DTP had been introduced it lowered standards. Very fe client appreciate time, and experience and expertise fo designer to acchiebe close to perfect solution. Usually they "like" it, or "dislake" and stuck to own "ideas". Both side should not use such preferences, since it is very amateurish and relates to the visual communication, rather than the colour of personal garments, or shoes.
I've well over 25 years in the design profession, and feel disappointed with the most of clients, and companies. Compromises are so bad, that I don't present bad examples of client's choices, but just the best only.
Chris is typical American example of "hurra" we are the best! But it doesn't work like that Chris. You have to be more humble, more critical of yourself, clients and envirovement.

@@thefutur I dunno man, i just felt that all the questions were related to business and how to be successful and deal with clients etc, but TBH these answers will be the same from any successful person so it's just not that enlightening ........ i would have been much more interested in hearing about her actual design process, inspirations, what she thinks about modern design trends, the future of design, just anything not related to how to increase your bank balance. Perhaps there was one of these questions in there because i have to admit i didn't watch the whole thing, i switched off half way in frustration!
