I have a 93 tune from JDM do you think it's worth to also do the e50 tune. After mixing and hitting the right number do you notice a a great difference in speed vs the 93 tune? I still need to pull the trigger and get the Whipple Intercooler. I just don't have anybody I know here to take it to for installation that I would trust to do it right or that has experience putting one in another Ford.
Absolutely going to the e50 tune is like going from the stock tune to the 93 tune it's a noticeable difference especially in the mid to top end of the car. Where do you live around?
Excellent vid. I just brought my new used ST home yesterday. I’m wondering what your process is to switch tunes. Like say i have the factory tune, and i have a zfg e50 tune. Am i supposed to fill up the tank and flash the tune right there in the parkinglot? Lol or can i safely limp it home on the e50 with factory tune? And flash it at home
Hell yeah congrats on the new car man! And you can either fill up and drive safely home or flash the tune and then drive to fill up on e50 either way you should be fine. I normally if I switch tunes like that I’ll upload the tune and then go fill up on the desired gas.
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks awesome thanks. Mixing fuels sounded so much harder so i was leaning towards a 91 tune (i’m at 6,000ft they dont really have 93 here). But e50 sounds like the way to go.

@Javii96 I gotcha man and yeah it’s not a huge deal the car will be good between e40/e60 which is a big range so your math can be a little off and you be okay

I just filled my 2014 with 4 gallons of e85 ( i thought it was flexfuel but turns out its not) i added 4 gallons of 91 should i be concerned

No you should be okay to mix and the ecu should make the changes needed 😁
I’ve heard you can run an e30 mix on a zfg 93 tune and it’s about as quick as the e50 tune. Have you tried it?
You can run e30 on the autooctane 93 tune but it doesn't compare to e50 in my opinion. The two tunes are night and day difference for me
What about running unl88 on the Explorer?
You can run whatever fuel you'd like but me personally I would only run 93 on my explorer unless I'm mixing like I aim here for a tune.
Can you run e85 without a tune?
Straight e85 you'll need an injector and fuel pump kit, you can run it, the car won't like it. You can run a blend but without a proper tune the computer will only adjust so much. Don't think you'll gain much of anything.
How do u get rid of it ? Lol dump it out ?
I sometimes I have to carry a gas can with me to put the extra. If not you can still get it to go in the tank
