    Which cellular provider are you using? Will they throttle your data stream if you are live streaming a lot of games in a single month?

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've used both T-Mobile and Google Fi so far. They both have "unlimited" data but once we hit 50GB of usage on our plan they do throttle the speed down to 3G. We're upgrading our plan to 100GB to help avoid this, we talk more about it in our veo 2 review - soccerstripes.com/veo-camera-2-review-record-livestream/

      Hi, yes you can record American football as well. We definitely use it to record high school games. In some areas the high school stadiums have cameras already installed at the facility but not all do. Also good for when you're on the road at away fields.

    Hey Ben, your videos have been so helpful. I am doing my first official stream this weekend. Up until now I haven’t invited anyone to watch my test streams. I have the team subscription (30 email addresses). Does this mean that only 30 email addresses can log in to watch live? Or can any amount of account watch using the link I send?

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew, glad it helps! you don't need to belong to a team in order to watch a livestream in Veo Live. So you can share the livestream link with as many friends and fans as you'd like, having them watch the stream doesn't impact the number of members that you can add or invite to your team. We offer some tips for handling fans and livestreaming in our Veo Rookie guide too - soccerstripes.com/product/veo-camera-guide-veo-rookie/

    Hi Ben. I'm an analyst at a football club in Australia and we have our games live streamed on TH-cam and I sit on the bench with our coaching staff and watch the stream on TH-cam. But their angles aren't always great and they don't show goal kicks for example because they'd rather show a replay. We also use Veo 2 but up until now I haven't used the live stream capabilities. I just record the game as per normal and watch the game back on Veo later.
    My question is. If I started using the Livestream capabilities and I as an account holder got an email letting people know the Livestream is now active. Would I be able to click on my email notification on a MacBook and watch it on a MacBook on the sidelines in real time? Or is the Livestream only configured for a phone as you showed in this video. This would allow me to avoid TH-cam's live stream altogether which would be helpful. You said it's about a 2 min lag?

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Joel, I agree that would helpful but right now to watch the stream you need to open it in the Veo Live app. So that means an android or apple device. I imagine at some point you'll have RTMP options but right now its in the app

    Does it work in training exercises, where it is not necessarily 5, 7 or 11 a side?

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi José, yes it does work for training as well. However, if you have multiple groups training on the same field, each with their own ball, it has to decide which ball to follow. So if you have multiple rondo squares going at once on the field the camera will likely shift back and forth between the groups to follow the motion of multiple balls.

      Did you create a team at app.veo.co ? You probably need to have one created to show up in the list. If you have a team created and it's not showing up that usually means it temporarily lost connectivity. Happened to me when my phone connect to my Veo 1 that was also there and recording.

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience once you hit the start recording button it doesn't stop recording until you either tap "Stop" in the app or power the camera down. In the beginning, if the livestream stopped the recording would also stop but the latest firmware update changed that behavior. Now if the stream drops due to network issues, the recording continues.

Only way to know for sure is to try it out. We do rent out cameras to test but we haven't sent one to Australia yet. Do you really need a subscription in order for this device to work? I was hoping recording to local storage and the AI tracking would still work without a subscription. AND, does it need an internet connection? I'm rural in the mountains, so it's unusual for us to have 4g/5g or other wifi with internet connectivity.

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kenneth, you don't need an internet connection to start/stop recording. You connect to the camera with your phone to start and stop. If you're going to livestream you do need an internet connection but if you're in the rural mountains getting a steady/strong signal could be an issue. How many months out of the year does the team play soccer?

    Hello Ben. This weekend we will live stream our match. We purchased an Internet SIM card from T-Mobile with unlimited data. T-Mobile advised that they are 4G LTE SIM cards but can convert to 5G if available.
    They also said that the internet unlimited data SIM card only works for tablets, but they are 50/50 if it works with devices like VEO.
    Worse case scenario we might have try live streaming with a parents SIM 4G card.
    Any other tips? Cheers

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would get to the field early to try it out. Make sure you put the card into the camera before you turn it on. If you see the left two green lights lit up once the camera starts up that means you have internet connection. If you have a separate hotspot device (or anyone on your team does) I'd bring that along as backup. This video shows you how to livestream off a hotspot - th-cam.com/video/usaMMJB2fzk/w-d-xo.html . I wouldn't tell anyone on the team that you're going to stream the first game. That way you don't have people texting you asking you for a link while you're trying to get it to work the first time. Hope it goes well!

      Hello Ben. I tested it out today and it didn’t work. I got to the step of “Start Live Stream”.
      I have a feeling that the T-Mobile internet Unlimited data SIM card is only for tablets. I will have to call T-Mobile and switch from unlimited data to 30GB per month plan.
      Hope that does the trick

    • @EasySportsVideo

      I tested the Veo using just the SIM card and unlimited data plan - it’s super weak but works for live streaming. It said the connection was slow, too slow to even run the speed test. I just bypassed it.

    I think it’s pretty dumb that you need an invite just to watch a stream. There should be an option to publicly stream a game. Publicly as in you should be able to just search it up on the search option, just like every other live streaming platform.

    • @EasySportsVideo
      @EasySportsVideo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael, you're not the only person who feels that way. It would definitely be easier if fans didn't need to be invited to watch a game. I think that feedback has found its way to the company so at some point I imagine it will change

    Uploading over cellular shouldn't initiate without the user starting it. That's a huge amount of data and will eat up most wireless plans! Veo needs to change that!! Do we just turn the camera off then to avoid it? I'd rather not mess with the SIM card.
