All the improvements about connectivity, Ai tracking and overlays are great but in my opinion for a sport like soccer the main problem was the quality of the video and unfortunately it looks like there was no significant improvement in that area in the Veo 3 version. You can see it also in the clips they are using in this video, even in perfect light conditions you can barely distinguish the players when they are in the opposite side of the field from the camera. The resolution has to be higher to make possible to zoom in.
You're right, the video needs to be of better quality, and can be played on platforms like Facebook, TH-cam,...

Not a single word about the camera sensor, resolution, dynamic range..Veo 2 was very poor quality when zoomed in on a player. Not to mention in lower light environment
I agree, I was hoping in some improvements in that area but apparently they only added a HDR "filter" that is basically adding just a bit of contrast and saturation.

Are any of the new features available in our camera we bought in October 2023? Or must new cameras be purchased to get the benefits of this new work?
What video format is used for streaming? H265? also is there a mic-in to add live verbal commentary? finally outside of RMTP streaming is there another way to get videos exported? can the camera be used without a subscription or at least do you promise to make it possible to use it without a subscription if you stop supporting the a specific camera version? Anything else is not sustainable.
Actually ideally Veo would support NDI out. Then one could use a video switcher like the Yolobox Ultra to add instant replay, audio commentary and other video sources.
Since the analytics package now tracks player numbers, does the heat map also filter by player?
Will new analytics studio and capturing of data only be available for VEO 3 or can VEO 2 users also access these features?

As a youth coach.... I want a camera that edits the game for individual players, both on and off the ball. Shirt numbers are a step forward, however there are algorithms that have facial recognition. Each individual player is involved for approx 20-25 minutes of the game. Can the software edit the game into 11-14 individual player highlights and post them to the players app? Otherwise, why do I have to watch 90 minutes of football, plus tagging time every week, sometimes twice a week? Veo - does the new software save me 3-6 hours a week? And allow players to view their own game?

So disappointed to see its all based on Football when it's heavily marketed to Rugby Clubs. The only nod to rugby was Nigel Owens.
Have they fixed the subscription plans? Originally had the starter pack, which was great for my daughter, but they wouldn’t add analytics to it - which is completely insane. In order to get analytics for her, they made me change to the family plan, which then ruined the ability for her to add names of any of her teammates, like you could on the starter pack. So with the family plan you have a The monthly or annual base plan + analytics fee for one person on the field 😂.
Makes no sense.
Why wouldn’t you be able to pay the extra money to add analytics to the starter pack? Instead, they force you to change to a family (which is similar pricing, with no ability for her to evaluate comparative analytics to a teammate).
Perhaps theres been a solution made available since end of 2023?

Beware!!! The Veo 3 camera has serious issues with exposure quality of game film and Veo support refuses to acknowledge the issue. We always have at least one game film seriously underexposed and Veo support tells me it's our fault, when weather conditions and camera positioning are perfect. We NEVER had a problem with Trace, but went with Veo because of the analytics. I guess that's the tradeoff Veo offers, so so exposure and better analytics. Our team parents are NOT happy and I can't seem to get Veo support to want to help us.
Can you also watch the live stream on a computer or do you still have to have a smartphone for that?

Still only geared towards football - even says on the website you can only live stream for football! Don’t even believe it’s 4k output, all they said was image quality is sharper and has HDR - big whoop. …. I’ve seen a few of these in the Hockey community but our club just hasn’t found the benefit for it yet when it probably can’t even track players in our sport, let alone live stream it. Not to mention the extortionate price once you factor in tripod and subscription and add-ons like live streaming! Shame

How do you expect the camera to follow the game if the ball is in the scrum for example? You can’t see the ball half the time
@@jackmasterdick FYI the veo camera does follow the ball and will tag events in the game for you. Kicks, tries, scrums and lineouts. What I mean is the analytical side of it for following players and heat syncs aren’t available for rugby. Maybe understand what the camera does before making comments like this.
the quality is very mediocre...Disappointed... hdr makes colors unnatural... Chinese 4K format-)) You can watch it on mobile phones and that's it. The quality is terrible
