hey thanks so much! Yeah I just try and keep the playthroughs and demos as "real" as possible. Im not trying to impress anyone or put on a front that I'm some virtuoso. Im just a dude with a love for music. Thanks so much for your comment!
Nice find on a killer amp! Congrats! Okay, this is gonna come out of the blue. Whenever you play, you are always smiling and looking like you are having so much fun. It reminds me of my biggest guitar hero and influence that we just lost. The mighty Eddie Van Halen. He always had a huge smile when he was ripping it up. We all should not take ourselves so seriously and just have fun playing. Keep bringing the joy dude!
Man I wish Mesa's gear was more accessible when I was younger! To me, they sound like a more dynamic Marshall. That low end oomf you're talking about was always what I was looking for.
That's a really cool version. Congrats! On my triple, I use the red (channel 3) for rhythm, and the orange for leads. The orange has somewhat more mids. It's always working in a mix.
While some may disagree, may i suggest that you run the chorus in the loop rather than in front of the amp? Also, I also like to put my EQ in the loop in front of any modulation effects. That amp sounds sick regardless.....
Wow man, that gold face plate is awesome...congrats on the find. Id never get rid of that one man...I love mesa and the dual rec!....I have the day versions that were straight 100 watts....its pretty amazing!....I also have a slant 4x12 mesa rec cab to match it with the uk made v30s....i don't think I'll ever own another amp....even the evh stealth which I almost bought new before buying the mesa head used!.....
You deserve more subs. Also I really want that baritone jazz master. I already have the white jmascus signature and I love it. Surprising how metal they can be.
got myself one for xmas. it's taken a bit of time to get it dialed into my liking, but I'm loving it! running mine through my Orange ppc 2 x 12. sounds better than the mesa 2 x 12 or my Orange 4 x 12.
Yeah Parkway Drive riffs! Love the Romance is Dead transition into Horizons. Rectifiers are sick. They work great boosted for that metalcore sound that most bands were using the 5150 for, and the recto can pull it off with a much more thickness and harmonic richness. But you have to use a boost or separate eq to clean up the low end!
Brilliant riffs mate, some of my favourites that didn't make a cameo in the video are Idols and Anchors, Karma, Sleepwalker, Five Months, Pandora, Wreckage and Boneyards. Their style on the earlier stuff is so fun to learn.
Really enjoying hearing these baritone jazz masters on the channel lately - any plans to to modify either of them? That black one sure looks like it might enjoy some emgs!
i have a question Ray? i have been playing guitar since 1988 and i have never seen anyone wrap the strings above the nut, can you please explain this to me????
I do it to silence overtones that occur on a couple of my guitars which ring out after I mute the strings with my right hand. perhaps it's more likely to happen with high gain amps and pickups...
heck, when you finally explore the Mesa line and realize that "Boogie" is ONLY the Mark series and similar modifications! even I know it - a resident of Russia! In all other cases (if these are not Mark varieties) it is written and spoken as Mesa Engineering !!!
Hi Ray! This amp sounds great. I’m not a drop F guy, but it still sounded great. Will you be keeping this one? It’s a 50th Anniversary, I think it would be justified:) I think you deserve it 👍
Justin Gulbranson. Yeah I get that. It is definitely a sacrifice if your into that tone. Or there are definitely other great options. That have that feature. Personally I just find the Dover to be killer in tone.
The p90s sound good but humbuckers would be much more defined. Shout me out if you end up making the swap into this sweet axe. Would really be unique and make it your own kinda thing man. Humbuckers are kinda your signature sound with lower tunings like in your kiesel!
@@xanderraymondcharles what are they then? Singlecoils that are over wound... or soapbar pickups... jazzmaster pickups... which are all the same thing as p90s.. dang thought you knew what you were talking about man. You need to do more research before you start reviewing guitars and amps bud.
Figures somebody who cant play also wants to plug a single coil into a high gain amp... not to say it cant be done but with lower tunings and especially a baritone guitar it makes the low notes indiscernible. Maybe if you didnt play with so much "cool hi gainz" the single coils would actually sound good.
I dig how you just play raw. Leaving the minor flaws here and there in the vids. Keep up the great content. Your a great riffer man! 💪🏼 @StayMetalRay!
Great point!

the tone you got w th Fender was GODLY... so many vids on YT have wayyyyyy too much gain n saturation. That heavy tone was PERFECT.
Dual recs are my favorite! I love how I can crank mine and not get ear fatigue if that makes sense. They are so huge sounding!

Customer: Finally I got the Rectifier I saved for years!
Mesa Boogie: We are proud to release the whole new Rectifier BADLANDER!!!
This literally happened to me, I got the limited edition triple rec in June...

all the black tuners and bridge and things make that Fender Strat look so FKG Cool
The demo track is SICK

Hey thanks so much dude!
just bought one myself yesterday. can't wait to get it! found out today that they only made 73 with the gold diamond plate😀.

I'm no a huge rectifier dan but you made this one sound great! Good work man.
Nice! Where's this amp manufactured?
7:41 what song is this from?
That’s delightful
Hey thanks so muchhhhh
It’s a BEAST! I need to get my 2000 triple into the shop - weird volume swells (but the tones are Sooo good! )
N e hoo. Great vid Ray!
Oh man that’s fucking tasty sounding!
I love that guitar man so sick

It has a real cool throaty sound.. an awesome amplifier

How does this thing sound running through the OX attenuator? Any significant loss in tone?
Really enjoying hearing these baritone jazz masters on the channel lately - any plans to to modify either of them? That black one sure looks like it might enjoy some emgs!
Sick amp, bro! 🤘🧐
GENUINE GOLD PLATE layerd of .00001 14k 😾 looks sick
That mesa sounds killer. Hey man that jazzmaster does that have the Emg demonoams not sure how to spell that. But the Jim root emgs.
think the whole neighborhood just heard me scream "so cry me a fucking river, bitch!!" haha great tone, great demo.
Awesome demo. btw what are your top 2 favorite jst bass and guitar amp sims? thanks
i can tell you had fun playing this amp-is it too much for an apartment or should i go for the mini rec-same fun?
you got to do a gear collection video one of these days

you are lucky to have that amp, the gold color does suck, i hate gold on guitars and everything else. thanks RAy
I thought something was wrong with your eyes... makes sense now...
basicaly is a multiwatt reborn...with that look

The perfect fly catcher 😲😩😮😵🥱😦🙀
I don’t get it haha
@@xanderraymondcharles you keep having your mouth open while playing hahaha
Dude I can’t wait it see you get your hands on the new Badlander or TC. Can’t decide between the two!! Killer riffs
Hey man I'm not super familiar with the badlands or triple crown. But you should check out the Dover Da50 or 100 I think you might like it.
@@InfamouslyCantankerous very interested actually. Only thing I dislike is it has no built in load box :/

love that led zeppelin riff at the end-you really had fun with this amp-does this model play the same as the mini?
Nice
Thanks buddy
Ooh that’s pretty
Damn she grimmey! LOVE IT!
The Dual Rectifier is still the best metal amp ever
hey man i live in the same area and i was jw if you know any bassists by chance who would join a band that has everything else
It’s always so damn hard to find a bassist
