    Today I checked out Jinger's Pisces and I have to say I was blown away by the vocals.. I wasn't NOT expecting the shift. But I really liked it! Tatiana Shmailyuk has a crazy vocal range. What did you guys think? Let me know, and also leave a song down below that you want me to hear! :)

    Welcome to the wonderful world of Jinjer! You may have entered a deep rabbit hole of great Jinjer songs. Tatiana is an incredible vocalist, with her ability to instantly transition back and forth from beautiful clean singing to some of the best scream/growl harsh vocals I've heard, female or male. Other Jinjer songs I would recommend are Judgement and Punishment (Tatiana's live one take vocal performance video), Wallflower (official video...the song has a really cool groove and Tatiana only does harsh vocals in the last half of the song), Perennial (live from Wacken 2019 video).

      Thank you! I had never heard of this band before but I just found out they have quite the big fan base! 😊 I do really like the singing/growling transition - it just amazing me that she's capable of that. I'll be sure to check all of them out but based on the poll I posted, Judgement & Punishment is gonna be the next one I do a reaction to this weekend. A lot of people have been recommending that one so I'm very curious to check it out!

    Fun watching you discover their work. Most people assume it's two vocalists if they don't watch the video. :) Perennial live at Wacken (pronounced roughly "Vaaken" because it's German) is the usual next step to see them do their thing on stage (its about her chronic depression getting much worse in the winter causing self-destructive thoughts, so she wrote it to remindherselfthat the spring will come and she can make it through). They are Ukrainian from the eastern part of the country, so a great song to dig into lyrics is Home Back about their experiences when their hometown was caught in the 2014 war forcing them to move to the west of the country to continue their careers as the region became part of the occupied territory that set the stage for the current war.

    • @nikkireviews
      @nikkireviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, if I wasn't watching the video I would have assumed it was two vocalists and I probably would have thought the growling was a man if I'm being honest. The shift still just blows my mind!

They seem like a really good band and I like the meaning behind the songs that people have told me about. So thank you for explaining some of them too! They are from Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine, where the fighting started in 2014. Tatiana is mostly self taught.
    This live session was done to showcase Vlad on drums, who had joined not long before this. He is classically taught on piano and self taught on drums. Roman on guitar along with Eugene on bass.
    The guys were in Kiev when the current war started, and weren't allowed to leave at first. Several months later , they were allowed to go, and be ambassadors for Ukraine as they tour.
    Tati can do it live too. Perennial live at Wacken 2019 to see that, 2022 also. More to check out: Teacher Teacher, Judgement(and Punishment), I Speak Astronomy, Home Back, and Vortex.
    Canadian band Spiritbox , and lead singer Courtney LaPlante, is another that has songs with female clean and harsh vocals. If your interested, try Rule of Nines or Circle With Me. Both have music videos and vocal one takes.

    When you approach your husband about this song, watch his face and expect a smile if not a belly laugh. If he had watched this video or listened to it, he would have heard if not seen Tatiana in the performance and didn't give you at least a courtesy "when the music pauses, hold onto your seat". I love Tatiana, I'm not a huge fan of growls or screams, but it works for some reason in this and many of her songs.
    May I suggest Gacharic Spin, an all-female power metal group where almost if not everyone sings? Their original vocalist (Arrmy, pronounced Ahmee) passed away after contracting some unknown disease, she was amazing and their 1st Anniversary show can bear that out. The Members are all top-notch musicians and many are multi-instrumentalists. These girls are energy personified!
    And finally, look into Lovebites. They just replaced Miho their former bassist and one of the two founders with a new bassist, Fami, who is only 20. Fami fits right in and seemingly takes the musical lead in their Title track Judgement Day, the album will be out on the 23rd of February with that title. Asami is the frontwoman and primary vocalist, she also plays piano. Haruna, the other founder, and Drummer sets the pace. Midori is the guitarist to the left and is also a competitive bodybuilder (explaining why she is so muscular and cut) and Miyako is the guitarist to the right and is also a concert pianist so she does keyboards at times. Both of them do backing vocals. I don't know about Fami in that setting yet, time will tell. I am hoping they will stay around for a long time.

    Omg! This song was very good. The work of the singer of this song was wonderful, I think that girl is really a real talent. The style of the singer was also very good and some singers have a voice but they don't have the right style, which of course is not very important, but when the type of makeup, clothes and style are completely suitable for singing in the style of a metal song, the performance automatically becomes more effective. . I also have a playlist of Jinjer songs. One of them is all clean vocals. Any one of these songs would be good for a reaction. I usually post the playlist because frankly they have so many good songs a list would take longer to type.

    So I came across Jinjer in my recommended when I was listening to Nightwish reactions. I got sick of it so clicked on a Pisces reaction just to get rid of it. I was NOT into screaming_growling vocals, not even a little but I couldn't stop watching reaction because of the shock value. Slowly but surly, I added different song and now I'm a HUGE fan. I bought every Jinjer CD I could get my hands on amd listen to them daily. Funny thing is I actually love her growls now and broadened my musical taste with alot of growling/screaming bands.

    A cordial greeting to you!!...No one better than you, to analyze this incredible singer who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, TH-cam and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in TH-cam to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...th-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/w-d-xo.html

    Well, you need to listen to Arch Enemy w/ Alissa White Glutz, Nightwish w/ Floor Jansen (Yours is an Empty Hope Live 2015 Rio imo best video for reactors), Eleine where lead female (Madeleine) is clean and lead guitarist does distortion and some clean backing vocals. There are others that mix clean with distortion. You might find Tatiana does too much distortion with Jinjer. this song is like 50/50, but many of their songs its more like 80% distortion and 20% clean.
