A lot of the same people develop both Animal Crossing and Splatoon. It might not be a coincidence that both games are affected by such poor design choices.

You can actually buffer on the menu itself, maybe like if you wanna leave the matchmaking just hold Left and spam A while the result screen is going through. Or during the amiibo but just don't press too quickly else the buffer won't go before the dpad buffer
Weapon idea: spray paint can that works like a flamethrower. Sub weapon could be splat bomb for a more offensive option, while the spray can applies a stacking bleed effect where ink drips from the afflicted enemies body, but can be easily gotten rid of by shooting the afflicted, or dipping into ink for 3 seconds. It would be a very interesting weapon, as it could manipulate movement due to needing to be in ink for such a long time to get rid of the effect. What type of comp do yall think this would be good in? Does about 5 damage every second, but the bleed affect is applied the moment the hitbox makes contact with another player, and is stacks with the damage from the ink cloud itself.
While we are at it, why not pair at least one variant of this new weapon with a new sub weapon that can reflect some opponents' shots (blasters, Sloshing Machine), sub weapons, and Trizooka and Rainmaker shots? Finally, anyone using the spray ink can will have their usual speech ("Woomy!", "Veemo!") replaced with, "Mmmph, mmmph, mmmph!"
On the subject of Crab, I remember being able to splice a crab through the front with either Splatana, I feel like they should do what they should so do for vac and make the user’s hit box a bit less jank in their favor.
