But for the third time
All the specials felt nice to use and feel SOOO much better to fight against. All of them having some sort of straightforward or awkward way to counter them, like jumping over the sensor lines. Then there is missiles from across map again, but having only 1out of 15 supers really feel bad to play against is a lot better than Splatoon 2 so far. So excited for this game!
Apparently missles were nerfed as well, instead of tracking players they now only target where you were at the moment they were launched (so if they are launched from across the map, you'll have like an eternity to get out of the way)

@@squiddler7731 This change makes me think they might actually be better as a close/midrange displacement special, kind of like killer wail but with an emphasis on painting. Interested to see how the meta develops around them and if maybe they feel less toxic.
the testfire made me genuinely sad that we had to return to splatoon 2 for 2 weeks. the difference is night and day
like, i'm actually excited to play more weapons in this game. a lot of weapons to me in splat2 are just not fun to play, whether that's due to kits, gear dependency, or just straight up being not good. the kits in the testfire already made a hell of a difference
I work the launch date but I’ll be playing an hour during lunch
I can’t wait for the REEF-LUX and for Chara to talk about it

honestly i hope mpu or a form of damage up never returns. On one hand i like that kgal gets some accuracy but feeling like i have to run 3 mains and like 6 subs of mpu just to play squelcher dualies isnt really appealing

This Rock Paper Scissors Splatfest was the first time I was ever on a winning team and I'm willing to bet you carried me with how you won so many of these games lol
I lost all my Splatoon 2 data, so I was matched against toddlers in the splat 3 demo as an X rank anchor lol.
none of it transferred to the testfire lol
@@rain-jz5bz splatoon data did transfer in the demo. Anyone above B- was placed there in the splatfest. The transfer still took place behind the scene.
By math, the game favors the most popular team not winning at halftime, unfortunately. Still had a blast defending with my team though!

The full tryhard pro mode into complete silence on seeing "I LOVE BIG MEN" at 9:21 is giving me life.
Kinda wish Chara was on Team Scissors to see how well he would do on the defending tri-color

@@ProChara It was so damn hard, we had to defend middle while being attacked from both sides, and we had to space to move around in or any retreat spots

I'm so mad, I chose scissors because I like the sharp things and then I get teamed up with the 7 year olds that purely just want the big man sweep.

Same. I picked Scissors because I like scissors. BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE

Omg I just noticed Tri-Strike said "Twister Time" I think that's a reference to the original beta name of the Inkstrike, which was "Tornado" that's a nice nod lol

1:20 Wait, you can kill a vacuum by fully charging it? That's mean!
Not quite, I haven't messed around with the Ink Vac myself but Chara says in that moment that when fully charged an Ink Vac user can't hide in ink. So Chara took advantage of that and splatted them when they were in that vulnerable state. ^-^
@@ArtzyZero Fully Charged Vac can't swim or vac, only shoot the blast. I play vCharge and was on vac most of the fest.
Y’all’s excitement feels like what game commercials always try to emulate, but Splatoon just has that factor of genuine team-based fun. Truly such a special game series and I’m so glad to be able to experience it at the peak of its hype.
1:53 I will always tell anyone that Rolling with the Roller to paint, move or anything that isn't an easy kill is suicidal
Painting is not always bad but definitely situational

I think my best moment in the testfire was when I got a x100 game. My team was loosing the entire game, but in the last thirty seconds I somehow got a quad kill and clutched the game.
the most unfair part of tricolor battles is that team rock and paper got shiver and frye cheering them on, while team scissors got nothing

This game was so good to be in and then we had to leave. Imagine what the full game leads to!
Imagine your just a normal player and you get super excited when you see a 333x battle, but then your opponent is Chara's team.
Already Preordered the Game. Hopefully will get my Switch next week. This Game looks too good to not play it even if it means buying an entire Console for it

I'm so happy I found your channel, during the 333x battle was so night and day from how you guys usually play, just something about hearing you all co-ordinate each other, its good for the soul.
Chara paints the enemy base more than his own
My bday is in 2 days which is awesome but i remember my very first match as someone on team rock, very first match 2 people from my team disconnected and 1 person from the enemy team disconnected. Then the text had the audacity to say "Whew! So THAT'S that battles are like!"
Same thing happened to me lmao

The Mahi highlight reminded me of how many times I just dodge rolled into the water and drowned.
The worst part about my experience of premiere was me only getting 1 minute of playtime

Watching the videos on the spot fest make me really happy! I wasn’t able to play during it unfortunately as I was busy, but I can’t wait for the game to be released, even though I have lots of school work to do… I can’t grind those levels!
Quite enjoyable watching you play, the mobility options we now have in this game may open up to new ways to get onto heights and juke players. Cant wait to see you master the moves over time!

Played the testfire and BOY, did it get me hooked. I was saving for Pokémon but man... this will get all my money.

as a charger main, going from new fun weapon (bow) and interactive specials to splat charger vs missiles and ray spam made me want to throw my cartridge out the window

Hey chara, might I suggest something for the channel? You should do more casual videos like these. You’re genuinely pretty funny and I would like to see more of that. Also your analysys videos can feel a little “same-y”, so these are always a breath of fresh air. Either way, keep up the content!
The .52 Gal discussion reminds me of a team I had in Clam Blitz, where a teammate had a Splash Wall and I had a KGal. We just walked to the goal with our Power Clams, escorted by our Splash Walls. The opposing team could try to do something about it, but we'd splat them and keep going. Rare A rank Clam Blitz knockout victory.

Ah so the horizontal swing tech isn't pressing the button right as you land from squid roll but right before the squid roll leaves the ground, the former was still good for baiting people into pushing because they thought they'd only need to dodge a vertical flick from you mid jump

My favorite moment in the Testfire was when me and my friend both got Triple kills with a single splatbomb back to back.

I’ve noticed a pattern in this splatfest:
All the pros were in team rock and all team rock players got toxic when they won a match.
Team scissors was just there for fun but got salty when losing.
And then there was team paper… umm… they were on team paper?
i was having a lot of fun playing this game personally and i REALLY need to get used to the squid roll mechanic tbh. i really do think this game is gonna be really good
tri-colors werent bad either, coming from someone who only played on team scissors. i do think sturgeon could put the uninkable ramps leading up to the attackers spawns that were removed for some reason back in, to make access easier, especially considering how easy it is to get into the defender spawn, as an attacker. also because of how spawning is handled in 3, doing so could still be risky for the defenders if the attackers launch themselves away from where the defenders are holding down spawn and get into mid, which would have less people defending it. i think those ramps would even it out a bit or we could have a more unique tri color map, too piranha where the ultra signals and sprinklers of doom stay in center, encouraging everyone to push forward, with defenders pushing to mid to protect signal and attackers pushing to sides to secure turf or something like that
also it's so funny how many people dont know you can walk straight through the big bubbler lmao i just placed it over the ultra signal and get enough time to die and respawn by the time they actually activate the signal. the ONLY time this didnt work on people i played against was whenever someone hit it with reefslider instantly breaking it, which is good to know for future reference

I’m just so glad the game feels faster and lighter than it did in 2. It’s the one thing I disliked the most going from 1 to 2. All the weapons so far feel good to use to the point that I might even try out rollers again.
why did the colors not correspond to the splatfest? like chara is on rock but in some matches he’s on paper- and then on others it’s not even like the splatfest colors and i’m confused

I felt decent playing normal Turf Wars after not playing Splatoon for like, 2 years now, but I FUCKED in Tricolor. That game mode, plus Sturgeon, PLUS Reefslider on Aerospray, things just went SO well. I REALLY hope RG and PG have broken kits. I might have to stick with MG because Reefslider is just so fun, but we'll see.
