@MAX POPOLIZIO Well there is alot of people I would choose before him. I am not completely speaking bad of him, I have only seen one of his films being Mission Impossible 2 and.... well its not the best.
YES YES YES I'm gonna be honest I didn't expect too much, a lot of fan projects insert a lot of melodrama or they take way too much creative liberty, or they just turn it into every generic action movie or anime out there, but this may be the first time that I have literally zero complaints about how a fan proposition like this was handled. The voice acting was good, DUDE I mean even RIDLEY sounded great, I did not expect that. I've thought a lot about a Metroid movie too, and I know it would be hard to get the feel just right, but this really blew me away. I feel like you hit all the right notes, you're taking advantage of what Metroid's story has to offer and just presenting it in a robust format, with the right emotional themes. I'm honestly SUPER impressed. I was able to clearly imagine how good this would look, with the right direction and casting, and the budget to back it up, this would honestly be the basis for one of - if not THE - best video game movie adaptations ever. It's faithful but also works as a standalone, I could see myself as a huge Metroid fan loving this, I can see my parents who know nothing about Metroid but love a cool sci-fi movie loving this, and that's really the goal, isn't it? It's faithful, well presented, emotional without being melodramatic, and even though it was just black and white stills with narration and a few voice clips, it already captured me. This is a complete win in my book. I want to see how you handle it once we get into the parts where Samus is exploring alien planets and such, the meat of the Metroid games is probably the hardest to pull off but you've actually given me confidence in your ability. Also you mentioned the Aurora Units so I love you. I'm not the type of guy to just gush about fan projects at the drop of a hat, in fact I'm usually super critical of this stuff, I can't tell you how many times I've seen a proposed Zelda adaptation that people gush about and I'm just like "DUDE it looks like a generic trashy anime." You've honestly impressed me greatly and even if a movie never comes of this, I at least want to see how this continues. Just don't stray too much from the source material and leave Other M out of it. XD Seriously though, good job, THIS is a great foundation.

This is, incredibly well done. The pictures and voices paint a wonderful picture of the potential for this movie. I love that you establish motivations and character arcs for each person. I also love how you take elements from the origin story but make subtle changes to better fit the narrative while staying true to the original. I would love to see what you would come up with next
Before I watch this, I've always wanted a Metroid prequel movie, an origin story for Samus. Her being adopted by the Chozo, Ridley killing her parents, all this.
@@tamalemuncher789 I'm only one person, so I'm not going to say It's not, but I'm sure there's plenty of people that didn't even know a Metroid manga existed. It's not like Nintendo advertised it. You'd have to read a comment about it, watch a video that someone uploaded in which they mentioned it, or have the thought to search the web for a Metroid manga. That's how I found out about it.
I've seen the manga mentioned many times because well, you know, it's the only time Ridley has ever really had a personality. Like, ever. I just read it earlier this year finally but I already knew a lot of it, and Ridley killing Samus' parents is common knowledge among anyone who actually knows anything about their rivalry - otherwise he's just some monster who keeps coming back in most games. (What IS a spoiler is how they die and what results from it, but that's different from just knowing that they died.)

Just keep in mind that not necessarily everyone that watched this is a big Metroid fan, or a Metroid fan at all. Ultimately if someone doesn't want spoilers, It's their risk to read the comments, so I guess one shouldn't keep from spoiling if It's related to what the video is about. It's if someone spoils something that has nothing to do with the topic that It's a problem. That's not the case here though. I'm sorry.
FYI things like these are called Story Treatments. You pitch a studio your movie and give them a treatment of the plot and keymoments. Almost like the wikipedia synopsis of the film

I love what you’re doing Derrick! The Metroid series has always had a kind story but we’ve always had kind of imagine it ourselvesoutside the manga, I’ve wanted a movie forever and I can tell a large part of the community does as well so I honestly think we need this, for being a neglected community having something like this that we can all watch, talk and theorize about is amazing! I loved this first part and I hope you continue because this really does breathe life into the community.

It would be cool of they made a movie for every Smash 64 character and bring them all together in a Super Smash Bros movie. Just like Marvel does with the Avengers.
I got so excited hearing about this and watching what you came up with. Please keep it going with the whole script, just the pictures and narration felt like an episode and it was amazing!
so awesome, i love how it's the origin story like the manga, but with little hints to the other games like with mentioning the aurora units, and who drew the illustrations, they're amazing
@@JAI-z5g I could easily see a live action Earthbound giving people nostalgic feelings like Stranger Things or Super 8 did. But like I said, either way would be cool. And I said maybe on Kid Icarus because that also seems iffy to me and alot of charm from Uprising would definitely be lost going to live action.
As a big fan of Metroid you're doing the series justice. I think Super Metroid with Samus's past intertwined is perfect for a movie. I always loved the idea, but it was difficult for me to imagine it. You just brought it to life, way to go!
His idea IS the manga as a movie, pretty much, just with some changes. (Assuming that the person who replied to one of my comments wasn't just lying about seeing the full script! I'm guessing this is all on Patreon already or something.)
A few subtle differences...Samus was originally three years old when K2L was raided instead of ten, and Mother Brain was originally a wholly Chozo creation instead of a collaboration with the Federation...but these are understandable changes for cinematic interpretation.
That was a very good opening for a Metroid movie. I could imagine these moments playing out on the big screen due to the level of detail (the artwork is impressive) and how the shots are framed on the storyboards. The pacing is spot on so far, too. I like that you're balancing out the action with a good amount of world-building and character-building. Loved the foreshadowing in that conversation between Samus and the elder, by the way.
7:30 Did you guys get Ruby's voice actress to voice Samus here? XD I loved seeing someone else talk about a possible Metroid movie. I have been cooking the idea of one for years now, and I'm glad your idea is basically the same as mine - a prequel to the series. I think it's the best chronological time to make a movie about the series without interfering in the timeline. My idea of a Metroid movie, though, would be an animation done by Ufotable and KyoAni. KyoAni has the most fluid and emotionally impacting type of animation in the industry, and coupled Ufotable's amazing techniques for CGI environments, I imagine this would be the best animated movie ever made in the history of game adaptations! Come on, Nintendo can definitely afford this! If we're talking story, I imagined a retelling of the 2003 manga, but with various adaptations to fit a movie format and connect to the rest of the series. I would separate it in four parts - part A is the beginning with Samus as a 3 years old meeting the Chozo for the first time and watching her parents being killed up until the Chozo taking her to Zebes, Part B is her training to earn the Power Suit - here we're introduced to physical and mental abilities Samus will have to develop by the end of the story - up until the time she leaves for the Federation, Part C is her time in the GF forming a friendship with Adam, and finally part C is her going back to Zebes to save the Chozo from the Space Pirates and having to finally confront Ridley for the first time. Part A would follow the 2003 manga, with a few changes. I think that's the most accepted part of the manga in the community, without diving into the rest of the story, which is rather obscure and doesn't really fit into what Metroid would end up becoming. Samus is raised in K-2l, the Chozo show up to ask for Fuel Gel produced there, Samus makes friends with Old Bird but finds Grey Voice intimidating and doesn't dare get close to him, they both leave and the Space Pirates attack. Samus' parents die in the attack, Ridley gets injured and eats Samus's mother's body to recover, while Samus watch from under the rumbles. So, why did the Space Pirates attack? They were ambushed by the GF and lost their supply of Fuel Gel. They managed to cause several losses to the GF, though, one of them being the commander general that led the attack - General Malkovich. Cut to Earth, on a funeral, where a 10 years old Adam Malkovich watches his father being buried. By his side are his mother and Admiral Castor Dave, the latter making expository comments about the Space Pirates and the threat they represent; his parents were killed when he was a child, now they took Adam's father and Samus's entire Colony. Go back to the ruins of K-2L and the Chozo find Samus crying under the rubles that hid her from the attackers. They decide to take her to Zebes. Play the Metroid intro music, logo on the screen and start Part B paying a homage to the title screen of the first Metroid title, showing Zebes' starry sky and panning down to the surface, where the Chozo take Samus in and analyze her body with the help of Mother Brain. Grey Voice is still against the idea of taking Samus in, insisting they should take her to the GF, but Grey Voice claims he doesn't fully the GF to take care of a child that suffered such a tragic experience. With the Chozo knowledge and spiritual practices, he believes they are the best options to heal the girl from her trauma. Mother Brain claims Samus won't last 3 days in Zebes, due to the gravity and environment being harmful to her, but Grey Voice suggests they infuse her with Chozo DNA. After all, they already got all the knowledge about DNA manipulating they could want thanks to that *other project* of theirs (wink wink). Samus is infused with Chozo DNA and we cut to her at age 14, training under Grey Voice. He comments her physical abilities are superb, but she still has a lot to learn regarding mental strength and spirituality, also commenting on how her rebellious behavior and inability to follow orders prevents her from being the best she can be. He showcases the ability to perceive the surroundings by covering his eyes and telling Samus to attack him, while he dodges all of her attacks and manages to fight even better than he would had his eyes been open. This is basically what happens in Metroid Prime when Samus goes into Morph Ball mode and the player has a 3rd person view of Samus - the ability to perceive one's surroundings as if they were watching themselves from outside their body. After the sparring, Old bird takes Samus to Chozodia, the same carving on the wall where Samus drew on at the end of Zero Mission, and presents her with the Power Suit. he claims it's merely a copy of the real one represented by the carvings on the wall, used by warriors of old, now lost to time. grey Voice claims it's still too early for Samus to hold that power, but Grey Voice trusts she'll do fine with all the training they've put her through. Now, if I write any more than this, TH-cam will definitely think it's spam and erase everything, like it did once in another channel for me. Despite my idea of what a Metroid movie should be like being different than yours, I want to see where you can take this idea, Derrick. Looking forward to its completion.

Wow. Just wow, this is beyond amazing. I haven't played much of the Metroid series, but I'm fairly familiar with the characters and world of the series, and I have to say, I love everything you have done with this. Your portrayal of Ridley as a cunning mastermind of the space pirates, more of an intelligent and terrifying leader as opposed to just a scary dragon is amazing, whoever you chose to have voice him in this is spot on for what I think he would sound like. I like how it starts out with a young Samus and her parents, instead of diving straight into Samus already as a bounty hunter. Just, I'm beyond words. This is phenomenal, and I'd love to see the full thing.
My first ever Nintendo series, and I've grown so attached to it. Given it's not getting much love nowadays, seeing this project really warms my heart. Please keep going!
Truly this is a wonderful concept that is not only faithful to the source material, it rather compliments it and adds depth to the stories I've made about the Metroid universe in my mind. I appreciate the respect and care you gave this! Please continue this project!

This has soooooo much potential! And damn, that art is gorgeous. I don't know how much of this portion of the story was edited out for brevity's sake for this video specifically, but the pacing could use a little work. After the opening space pirate invasion, I love opening on Samus playing with friends, but right after that is a pretty heavy series of exposition dumps. I'd space out her interacting with her parents, the introduction of Mother Brain, and the arrival of the Chozo more so that the audience has more time to internalize these new, unfamiliar elements and not have to keep track of too much at once. But I really wanna see where this goes from here!

Yeah, I'd love to see more! I like this idea so far! It takes a few liberties with Mother Brain's origin and the timeframe of the Aurora Units' emergence, but it's definitely faithful to the spirit of the source material and gives even an audience unfamiliar with the series reasons to care about Samus, her parents, and the Chozo. I also love that Ridley speaks intelligently, like in the manga.
tbh I would love to see a part 2 of this, Great Work Derrick and to all your companions who helped you made this. Now I wish Nintendo will notice this vid.
This is fantastic work and I thank you for pressenting it to us. I know that I am not alone in saying that the use of your narrations combined with the comic's extended lore created an atmosphere that put most modern movies and television shows to shame. You nailed the general fill of what a 'Metroid' production could become and gave new life to an old comic so well done good sir. I would very much, like to see more.
Woooow this is crazy yo! I’ve never played a Metroid game, only know of Sami’s through SSB lol but I am a writer and the elements of a good story are here. In just a few scenes you’ve really established such a vivid universe and have done an excellent job of setting up the rest of the story. As for the writing, I was pleasantly surprised at how well you flowed through the scenes!! This is stellar work! really outdid yourself!

Yes we absolutely need the whole script, already this looks amazing. Also props to the voices here, they’re really good, I really like Ridley’s voice. It suits the Cunning God of Death. This is a project that I want to see all moments of progress on. I want every update, no matter how minor, trust me when I say this, I can speak for the whole of the Metroid community when I type these words: “ We will support this 100% of the way.”

This sounds extremely good, just from the 9 minutes of listening, I was sucked in and so curious about what more could be seen and shown. I loved to hear more and see how the movie plays out and how far it plays into Metroid with its winks and nods.
This is, actally pretty awesome! I was skeptical at first about strarting with Samus's backstory instead of telling it later, but I got pulled in and I am left wanting more. Please continue it.
I did not expect to be this impressed by the video. Everyone involved in this project has done a spectacular job and deserves praise. I hope this isn't the last we've seen and heard of you guys!
If a metroid movie somehow comes in the future, there better be a scene where Samus can't find the item she needs to move on, which results in her bombing every square foot of the planet that she can access like a madwoman to find the item that she needs, and maybe the space pirates will catch her in this act with a hidden camera and see how insane she has gotten. Also maybe a scene where she loathes needing to backtrack a long distance after getting an item.
Definitely want to see more, this was an immense effort. Visually I could see that opening scene from the 1st person perspective of the metroid hatchling, reacting to the studious glances of the scientists. The tube could roll around as one of them attempts to rescue it as the firefight begins. Ultimately it bounces away only to be stopped by Ridleys foot, who would then pick it up and marvel at it. Only then would the camera sweep to give us a glimpse of what the creature looks like before 'Metroid' is splashed across the screen. The process of writing and constructing a story is intoxicating. I've been doing the same for Shin Megami Tensei as a tv series. But I digress, this was incredible Derrick and I definitely want to see a passionate vision for what Metroid could be.
Oh I'm getting chills this is so good. Starting off the Metroid movie like the opening of Super is brilliant. Reminds me of the japanese ad. I would put something like a tiny drone or hint of a double agent to segway into the Metroid test scene. Like something with a glowing space pirrate logo and then it fades to the same glow on the ship.
This is actually a good idea, the story from the POV of the baby metroid! He gets created by the Chozo, then kidnapped, samus finds it and makes it a friend, she battles mother brain and Ridley and finally the mysteries of the Chozo *I LOVE THIS IDEA*
But it would be. That being Samus is a metroid, the Chozo word for warrior that she is. My personal favourite turn of the series were things like the Metroid were made as a defense against something more dangerous, and she has some parallels to the aliens.
I absolutely would LOVE to see this on the big screen! Your idea has a lot of potential and it follows the Metroid Series lore very well. Good on ya, Derrick! ☺👍
Oh my god this really caught my full blown attention and at the end i shed a tear of just pure happiness. I was skeptical at 1st but you really sold it to me. Having start from the beginning (Samus as a child) is definitely the way to go and i can't wait to hear how it continues. If only the Big N could see it so they can see the huge possibility off a Metroid Movie, just that they don't make it kid friendly as a Metroid movie would need to be a bit Dark and gory just not absurdly

I'm pretty introverted and I never comment on TH-cam, but I NEED to see the rest of this! Metroid is my favourite series and I often fantasized about a Hollywood movie adaptation. I'm loving this take (and presentation!) so far

I love what you’re doing Derrick! The Metroid series has always had a kind story but we’ve always had kind of imagine it ourselvesoutside the manga, I’ve wanted a movie forever and I can tell a large part of the community does as well so I honestly think we need this, for being a neglected community having something like this that we can all watch, talk and theorize about is amazing! I loved this first part and I hope you continue because this really does breathe life into the community.

As a big fan of Metroid you're doing the series justice. I think Super Metroid with Samus's past intertwined is perfect for a movie. I always loved the idea, but it was difficult for me to imagine it. You just brought it to life, way to go!
Have you read the Metroid Manga? I see a lot of similarities and story cues.
His idea IS the manga as a movie, pretty much, just with some changes. (Assuming that the person who replied to one of my comments wasn't just lying about seeing the full script! I'm guessing this is all on Patreon already or something.)
A few subtle differences...Samus was originally three years old when K2L was raided instead of ten, and Mother Brain was originally a wholly Chozo creation instead of a collaboration with the Federation...but these are understandable changes for cinematic interpretation.
It's clearly an adaptation.

The games are designed to be games. The stories are pretty simple and wouldn't translate to film very well.
That was a very good opening for a Metroid movie. I could imagine these moments playing out on the big screen due to the level of detail (the artwork is impressive) and how the shots are framed on the storyboards. The pacing is spot on so far, too. I like that you're balancing out the action with a good amount of world-building and character-building. Loved the foreshadowing in that conversation between Samus and the elder, by the way.

I loved seeing someone else talk about a possible Metroid movie. I have been cooking the idea of one for years now, and I'm glad your idea is basically the same as mine - a prequel to the series. I think it's the best chronological time to make a movie about the series without interfering in the timeline.
My idea of a Metroid movie, though, would be an animation done by Ufotable and KyoAni. KyoAni has the most fluid and emotionally impacting type of animation in the industry, and coupled Ufotable's amazing techniques for CGI environments, I imagine this would be the best animated movie ever made in the history of game adaptations! Come on, Nintendo can definitely afford this!
If we're talking story, I imagined a retelling of the 2003 manga, but with various adaptations to fit a movie format and connect to the rest of the series. I would separate it in four parts - part A is the beginning with Samus as a 3 years old meeting the Chozo for the first time and watching her parents being killed up until the Chozo taking her to Zebes, Part B is her training to earn the Power Suit - here we're introduced to physical and mental abilities Samus will have to develop by the end of the story - up until the time she leaves for the Federation, Part C is her time in the GF forming a friendship with Adam, and finally part C is her going back to Zebes to save the Chozo from the Space Pirates and having to finally confront Ridley for the first time.
Part A would follow the 2003 manga, with a few changes. I think that's the most accepted part of the manga in the community, without diving into the rest of the story, which is rather obscure and doesn't really fit into what Metroid would end up becoming. Samus is raised in K-2l, the Chozo show up to ask for Fuel Gel produced there, Samus makes friends with Old Bird but finds Grey Voice intimidating and doesn't dare get close to him, they both leave and the Space Pirates attack. Samus' parents die in the attack, Ridley gets injured and eats Samus's mother's body to recover, while Samus watch from under the rumbles.
So, why did the Space Pirates attack? They were ambushed by the GF and lost their supply of Fuel Gel. They managed to cause several losses to the GF, though, one of them being the commander general that led the attack - General Malkovich. Cut to Earth, on a funeral, where a 10 years old Adam Malkovich watches his father being buried. By his side are his mother and Admiral Castor Dave, the latter making expository comments about the Space Pirates and the threat they represent; his parents were killed when he was a child, now they took Adam's father and Samus's entire Colony.
Go back to the ruins of K-2L and the Chozo find Samus crying under the rubles that hid her from the attackers. They decide to take her to Zebes. Play the Metroid intro music, logo on the screen and start Part B paying a homage to the title screen of the first Metroid title, showing Zebes' starry sky and panning down to the surface, where the Chozo take Samus in and analyze her body with the help of Mother Brain. Grey Voice is still against the idea of taking Samus in, insisting they should take her to the GF, but Grey Voice claims he doesn't fully the GF to take care of a child that suffered such a tragic experience. With the Chozo knowledge and spiritual practices, he believes they are the best options to heal the girl from her trauma. Mother Brain claims Samus won't last 3 days in Zebes, due to the gravity and environment being harmful to her, but Grey Voice suggests they infuse her with Chozo DNA. After all, they already got all the knowledge about DNA manipulating they could want thanks to that *other project* of theirs (wink wink).
Samus is infused with Chozo DNA and we cut to her at age 14, training under Grey Voice. He comments her physical abilities are superb, but she still has a lot to learn regarding mental strength and spirituality, also commenting on how her rebellious behavior and inability to follow orders prevents her from being the best she can be. He showcases the ability to perceive the surroundings by covering his eyes and telling Samus to attack him, while he dodges all of her attacks and manages to fight even better than he would had his eyes been open. This is basically what happens in Metroid Prime when Samus goes into Morph Ball mode and the player has a 3rd person view of Samus - the ability to perceive one's surroundings as if they were watching themselves from outside their body. After the sparring, Old bird takes Samus to Chozodia, the same carving on the wall where Samus drew on at the end of Zero Mission, and presents her with the Power Suit. he claims it's merely a copy of the real one represented by the carvings on the wall, used by warriors of old, now lost to time. grey Voice claims it's still too early for Samus to hold that power, but Grey Voice trusts she'll do fine with all the training they've put her through.
Now, if I write any more than this, TH-cam will definitely think it's spam and erase everything, like it did once in another channel for me.
Despite my idea of what a Metroid movie should be like being different than yours, I want to see where you can take this idea, Derrick. Looking forward to its completion.

Wow. Just wow, this is beyond amazing. I haven't played much of the Metroid series, but I'm fairly familiar with the characters and world of the series, and I have to say, I love everything you have done with this. Your portrayal of Ridley as a cunning mastermind of the space pirates, more of an intelligent and terrifying leader as opposed to just a scary dragon is amazing, whoever you chose to have voice him in this is spot on for what I think he would sound like. I like how it starts out with a young Samus and her parents, instead of diving straight into Samus already as a bounty hunter. Just, I'm beyond words. This is phenomenal, and I'd love to see the full thing.
My first ever Nintendo series, and I've grown so attached to it. Given it's not getting much love nowadays, seeing this project really warms my heart. Please keep going!

This has soooooo much potential! And damn, that art is gorgeous. I don't know how much of this portion of the story was edited out for brevity's sake for this video specifically, but the pacing could use a little work. After the opening space pirate invasion, I love opening on Samus playing with friends, but right after that is a pretty heavy series of exposition dumps. I'd space out her interacting with her parents, the introduction of Mother Brain, and the arrival of the Chozo more so that the audience has more time to internalize these new, unfamiliar elements and not have to keep track of too much at once. But I really wanna see where this goes from here!

Yeah, I'd love to see more! I like this idea so far! It takes a few liberties with Mother Brain's origin and the timeframe of the Aurora Units' emergence, but it's definitely faithful to the spirit of the source material and gives even an audience unfamiliar with the series reasons to care about Samus, her parents, and the Chozo. I also love that Ridley speaks intelligently, like in the manga.

This is fantastic work and I thank you for pressenting it to us. I know that I am not alone in saying that the use of your narrations combined with the comic's extended lore created an atmosphere that put most modern movies and television shows to shame. You nailed the general fill of what a 'Metroid' production could become and gave new life to an old comic so well done good sir. I would very much, like to see more.

Woooow this is crazy yo! I’ve never played a Metroid game, only know of Sami’s through SSB lol but I am a writer and the elements of a good story are here. In just a few scenes you’ve really established such a vivid universe and have done an excellent job of setting up the rest of the story. As for the writing, I was pleasantly surprised at how well you flowed through the scenes!! This is stellar work! really outdid yourself!

Yes we absolutely need the whole script, already this looks amazing. Also props to the voices here, they’re really good, I really like Ridley’s voice. It suits the Cunning God of Death. This is a project that I want to see all moments of progress on. I want every update, no matter how minor, trust me when I say this, I can speak for the whole of the Metroid community when I type these words: “ We will support this 100% of the way.”

This sounds extremely good, just from the 9 minutes of listening, I was sucked in and so curious about what more could be seen and shown. I loved to hear more and see how the movie plays out and how far it plays into Metroid with its winks and nods.

If a metroid movie somehow comes in the future, there better be a scene where Samus can't find the item she needs to move on, which results in her bombing every square foot of the planet that she can access like a madwoman to find the item that she needs, and maybe the space pirates will catch her in this act with a hidden camera and see how insane she has gotten. Also maybe a scene where she loathes needing to backtrack a long distance after getting an item.

This is a genius idea. I genuinely hope to see a Metroid movie one day.
Definitely want to see more, this was an immense effort.
Visually I could see that opening scene from the 1st person perspective of the metroid hatchling, reacting to the studious glances of the scientists. The tube could roll around as one of them attempts to rescue it as the firefight begins.
Ultimately it bounces away only to be stopped by Ridleys foot, who would then pick it up and marvel at it.
Only then would the camera sweep to give us a glimpse of what the creature looks like before 'Metroid' is splashed across the screen.
The process of writing and constructing a story is intoxicating. I've been doing the same for Shin Megami Tensei as a tv series.
But I digress, this was incredible Derrick and I definitely want to see a passionate vision for what Metroid could be.

I would put something like a tiny drone or hint of a double agent to segway into the Metroid test scene. Like something with a glowing space pirrate logo and then it fades to the same glow on the ship.

This is actually a good idea, the story from the POV of the baby metroid!
He gets created by the Chozo, then kidnapped, samus finds it and makes it a friend, she battles mother brain and Ridley and finally the mysteries of the Chozo

But it would be. That being Samus is a metroid, the Chozo word for warrior that she is. My personal favourite turn of the series were things like the Metroid were made as a defense against something more dangerous, and she has some parallels to the aliens.

Oh my god this really caught my full blown attention and at the end i shed a tear of just pure happiness. I was skeptical at 1st but you really sold it to me. Having start from the beginning (Samus as a child) is definitely the way to go and i can't wait to hear how it continues. If only the Big N could see it so they can see the huge possibility off a Metroid Movie, just that they don't make it kid friendly as a Metroid movie would need to be a bit Dark and gory just not absurdly
