For warhorn, you can sandwich enemy troops on the stairs if you call them from the house. The enemy get trap in the stairs while your one unit sandwich them from above(reinforcements cuz they are rushing back to the main unit) and below (the main unit) I think the enemies can't move out on the staircase so they get killed one by one from both sides. Of course, this only works on smaller groups.
Tier list was good! Lots of valid points and generally very accurate. I will say that bombs and mines deserve the same tier (B or A is preference) because mines have some really glaring flaws regarding map layouts and the way some enemy units move, as you've stated. I bring this up because the bomb's versatility in use is incredible and with full mechanical skill it's almost always more impactful than mines (not to diss mines - having spammable CC on an appropriate map can be amazing). Philosopher's is one of the best ways to get early elites so i'd say its on par with jabena in utility. Warhammer and RoC definitely deserve S tier, as I'm sure most people are aware. Also everyone talks about Archer RoC - but don't let anyone sleep on Ironskin RoC Infantry! They are the perfect 'bubble wrap' for your squad and can always pick up the slack. Phillosopher tier is based on when you get it: starting item A tier, B-C Tier is when is mid game, F in Late Game. The collector bonus is situational not game defining, but a trait to reduce gold to give more gold I call it the Banker unit. Personally best with Pike units to play some island by itself.
the best defence for holy grail, it doesn’t take up a commander slot, so having it gives no disadvantage and things can go wrong, having holy grail early allows u to b more risky with hitting every island and late game can save you if u lose a brilliant unit
Ring of command also goes well with the trait Rousing Speeches. With infantry, I think it basically overpower any small groups most of the time without a single troop getting hurt. It can also solo like three brutes at best. It buffs the plunge I think. It gives you more breathing room before you get them into the house to replenish. For pikes, at least you get more troops but it's useful for those large boats full of basic troops. I think it buffs the pike charge too maybe? I not sure about the skill thingy
I use Jabena on Pikemen early game, any island with melee only vikings and a chokepoint is easy gold. Just sit back, sip from your Holy Grail, and watch the Pikemen do their job.

I think you are still underestimating the potential of mines. Not only can mines play defense, but it can also play offense as well. How? It's not too hard. Mines can safely allow for pikes to draw in enemy units, especially since they like to go the other way or throw a torch to a house from a safe range. Mines fix this problem. When you put mines to draw in vikings such as in th-cam.com/video/63zo2dt29xM/w-d-xo.html, it aggros all the vikings on your invincible commander who drops the mine and stalls. Be sure to pull back that squad as mines can stun your units if done incorrectly. Overall, mines is good because of some micro.
I love this game and wish it as more for replay value(even though I replay it frequently). My suggestions are of course just ideas that the designers have maybe already considered. Having a trait that allows to hold two items with a disadvantage of weakness and/or being considerably slow named packrat(maybe). Having an item that very temporarily makes your guys almost invincible with a stun effect given to your troops that shrugged off previous damage. (I don't know what this could be maybe like a mushroom 🍄). Another item idea would be excalibur, making your commander always in front of their troops. Being in the frontline helps protect the troops but being more at risk of falling behind enemy lines.

Had a run where I was really scared cause I had an infantry with jabena to solo two islands that I probably shouldn’t have. But he got really close to death both times, almost RNG at that point. Play fast and riskier for more reward so it’s fantastic as a second or third item pick up Also war horn is fantastic early game with infantry soloing islands. Cause for me I play extremely heavy greed early so I’m 6-8 turns ahead by the later levels to get tons of money to max everything out
I really like war horn on infantry as the dual weilders can jump without affect and they can kill giants without any major losses incase pikes are busy
In my opinion, the philosopher stone needs to be reworked, it should not have levels, and that it double the amount of coins coming from the houses. 1 coin house will give 2. 2 coin house will give 4. 3 coin house will give 6. But if the philosopher stone needs levels, then I gues you can split up the types of houses it will effect, like a level 1 P.S will only work on 1 coin houses, and you need to level it up to effect the 2 coin houses, and leveling it up again to effect the 3 coin houses.

it would be nice if you could use the holy grail during combat where it would resurrect the commander at any point, just the commander alone.
