I literally watched Scrapman play this and the moment I heard the words “Bad architect” I knew I had to tell you about it. But honestly, I didn’t expect you to know about this game. You and Scrapman should do a collab, he goes function over fashion when it comes to making stuff. I think you’ll like him
As a building inspector, I give your ramp an F. Barely functional, too steep, no fall protection, no graspable rails. This is the kind of work that gets you on the wall of shame in our office
I love being an engineer. -π equals 5 -you can play dumb to annoy the manager and babble about anything -you can build lots of stuff with close to zero confidence in it until it actually works, at wich point you act like "of course it works!" -You can tap into any field and claim it as part of engineering wich allows you to get funding in order to buy the books you dont want to buy yourself.
Matt the enjenir: "This bridge works without the arch support, is the arch support just for looks? But it's needed! It's clearly safety (while being observably unnecessary)" Another symptom of architectitis.
The controls remind me of that old flash game about running but you have to control the character's arms and legs movement as well as keep him balanced.
If building was baking, architects would be decorators, civil engineers would be the flavor specialists, and structural engineers would be the poison testers.
This game feels like an architect who got rejected by other architects decided to become an engineer but he still has an architect mindset. So basically it's RealCivilEngineer's backstory in video game form.
The game says to make a bridge to walk across, so you quickly do and get an A. But then you decide take much longer to quintuple the number of materials, even though you are given the fact that this bridge is only for one purpose and you’ve fulfilled it. This is the engineering satire the developers could only dream of.
I'm afraid that spiral ramp kinda looks like an architect made it. Looks good from a distance, but when you get closer you realize nothing lines up and everything is ridiculously fragile and hard to use despite using three times as much material as it should.
It frustrates me so much that he concluded that he can’t build vertical wooden sheets when he was doing that a literal second earlier. That’s not even mentioning the stairs… love the video, it’s like watching a cute dumb puppy, no thoughts just enjenir.

Matt being an architect, making spiral staircases when a ladder would do. 😂
More accessible. Just about
Didn't even need a ladder guy can climb flat walls
Then basically still climbs it
I was going to say that spiral staircase is an architect’s dream
I believe the phrase Over-engineered exists for a reason

I've never seen an engineer more accurately depicted in a game, that's pretty impressive.
Don't necessarily take Matt as an example, he's closer to an architect, even closer to a BA. So please don't insult us :D
He had already climbed a sheer rock face, too. Why not just a ladder?
Thanks 😎

Matt is such a civil engineer he doesn't realize structural engineers are civil engineers just better.
