Backwards compatibility is huge for me. I have a MASSIVE collection of Switch games. If the eShop games carry over too, this is an instant purchase for me.
(I say as if I haven't instantly purchased every Nintendo console in my adult life like the Nintendo stan I am...)

I'm with you there.
I'm sad enough to have bought both pokemon limited edition switches. I also have a normal switch (which is the pikachu and eevee version) the switch light and the oled switch (which is the SV pokemon version) as well as all versions of the ds since the light 😅. So I will be getting the new switch at some point.

For my understanding the switch 2 will be a improvement to the old switch but run Pokemon games way better and even in higher resolution
