- After what felt like the longest offseason in years, the Seattle Seahawks are set to launch the first Mike Macdonald-led season Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle against the Denver Broncos.
Much has changed in two short years since the last time these two teams faced off, with the Seahawks winning the 2022 opener 17-16 in what was the first game with Russell Wilson quarterbacking the Broncos after a stunning offseason trade.
Wilson has moved on, and now Bo Nix is in place as the presumptive franchise QB for Sean Payton after being selected in the first round out of Oregon in April.
Is Nix ready for what Macdonald and his vaunted defensive scheme has in store? Or is the Payton-Nix combo going to be formidable right out of the gate?

Geno Smith may be in his thirties but his body is around a fourth year starter by football years!!! That's the way I see plus being in the league that long he has seen a lot and studied behind some really good quarterbacks and now it's Geno's time to shine!!! Go Hawks 🏈 💙 💚

Do you really think actual age doesn't matter? It doesn't matter if he didn't start very much your body wears down as you age no matter who you are. Besides he was still going through practices and work outs for x amount of years that all has an impact. That being said nothing to worry about age wise for a few years still but it's coming it always does.

My 1st Seahawk game was Xmas eve, 1983 Wild card game that the Hawks smoked Denver 31-7, I believe on our way to the AFCCG. Fun memories, great night!
I can't wait to get the ball rolling on this season. I'm watching from all the way out here in eastern Canada and love the Hawks. I think Geno will have a lot to prove and will be great with Grubb's offense.
The Broncos/ Seahawks rivalry always goes back to the 80s for me and Elway breaking our heart but mostly my utter hatred for that Denver team in the late 80's/ early 90's. Didn't like them anyway but Mike Hardin's cheap shot on Steve was the moment that turned it to an angry hate that has lasted. Steve's revenge was epic though.
Back to this year, hope our defense can get to top 10 by the end of the year if healthy. That would give us real hope, imo. Because I truly believe our offense will be closer to top 5 than middle.
Yes dude, so pumped ! Geno and DK are both playing for new deals so they will have there best years plus with this boost from the new offense. Then JSN will blow up this year. And our Defense is about to go from bottom of the league to top real quick. Will be a fun year. This is truely a great franchise to be a fan of. 💯

I was at the “Return of Russ,” Denver home game where they tried the 62 yard kick and lost the game by 1 point. It was wild. Tons of Denver fans on hand and they were not happy.

You can tell this dude just hates Seattle 😂 can’t blame him. The fact the NFL game them the hawks week 1 is so harsh, and they think it’s gonna be close 😆 Mikes D is about to not only handle this offense but he’s about to put the blue print out on how to stop them, broncos couldn’t have had a worse matchup to start the season. And all that nix hype and good vibes will have to start all over again, sad.
Broncos are the second best team in that division. The chargers are going to struggle on defense with depth.
Bronco confidence is EXACTLY what I heard prior to SB 48. Manning and the greatest scoring offense in History will dominate Seattle. Blah blah blah. Denver will try to run and dink and dunk, then take an occasional deep pass.
A lot of hopeful thinking in the AFC West. I don't expect much out of any of those teams except KC. If KC has to win a game, they will. NV, LA, and Denver have no shot at KC and the chances are only slim that someone in that division will get a wild card. Don't see anyone, but maybe Denver getting to 9 wins.
Denver's coaches are first rate. The Broncos will be ready. I think the game will be won in the trenches. Advantage: Denver
Unless Denver's run game is really good y'all have no chance. BO knows college, BO knows preseason, BO don't know Lumen stadium and Mike Mac's D. It's going to be like trying to fold clothes in a tornado!

Don't underestimate Denver's Defense. It will be much better this year. Seattle won't be able to run the f-ball. Two of three Denver CBs are more than capable. The only question is the rookie CB2 opposite Surtain.
Seattle basically has 3 #1 receivers, 2 #1 Running backs. If you don't get to Geno in under 2 seconds you won't get to him. Good luck & GO HAWKS!!!
