  • Peaceful day out on the water near Port Adelaide in South Australia, putting the crab nets in for sand crabs & blue swimmer crabs. As it’s late May, not sure if many crabs would be active but I came home with a good feed. Used the Australian salmon frames from a previous fishing trip and they did the trick in attracting the crabs.

Nice one mate, never tried Sandy's before. Do they taste same as Bluey's?

Hi John, they are not as strong as blueys, a bit sweeter I would say.

Nice plump sand crabs for winter. What brand crab nets are you using? And I noticed you had a fishing rod but werent using it, wouldn't there be whiting in that channel?

Hi, they were a good size, nets were ones I've had for years, not sure where I got them from. Did use the rod to pass the time and got 2 undersized King George whiting and a puffer.
