  • I'll show you how to install OEM 1958-1959 Chevrolet/GMC hubcaps on Detroit Steel Wheels... Actually probably 1955-1959 caps actually! But I'm installing 1958 GMC caps on these wheels!
We're working on a 1958 GMC pickup truck with 20" Detroit wheels and a whole slew or awesome parts on it! We're keeping the old patina'd paint and we've painted the inside super nice and the wheels got the same color!

Trying to find more videos on your truck the rims are going on. I like the rims a lot. Big fat tires too. Can you tell me what size tires and how much it was for rims and tires?

Great look, I have a question. Why wouldn't you just move the clips in and not cut up those BEAUTIFUL hubcaps, those were retained by clips like that on the original wheels.

The way the wheel dives in the clips wouldn't work with the stock hubcap so I had to trim them. Thanks for watching!

How would you remove them to change a tire?

@@chaddilacdesignsin regards of not scratching the paint on the rims. They look pretty snugged. Just wondering

It just is what it is... you're retrofitting a old cap on a new wheel. Hopefully it don't have to come off very often! LOL!
