Fabricating the A-pillar from scratch... the original is rusted ❌

- The new windshield opening is welded in but now we need to deal with the A-pillars. There's a lot of rust and rot in the original so we decided to make our own from scratch. We want to keep the patina look so we found some rusty 16 gauge in our junkyard that will work perfect. This may just be the coolest, cleanest, and fastest chopped 1934 Plymouth... ever 😎

Love these chopped coupes, great job
I love the fact that chad simplifies each task and brakes it down , and deals with each obstacle as they appear , i definitely have learnt a lot just by watching every show . you Guys have both been a huge influence , and think both channels are definitely worth the time watching. the video work and editing and behind the scene from jolene is top quality
1998 called: Sally Jessy Raphael wants her glasses back. Just yankin' yer chain...I get the need for red glasses when you're working in the shop and need to find 'em fast...great show, your metal-work is Top notch!!!
That rust bucket looking good keep it up!
I am 72 and Chad your music is from a long tme ago. It is okay. No judgement of blame. It is my pary and I will be happy if I want to.
What's a pary, is that a Canadian thing ?
Hi Chad and jolene,
The picture for tonight's video showing the A post really finishes the roof of and the proportions look great with the front window now being higher looks really good
Square pillers on a round car, just don't work so amateur.😊
Had a 34 just like it when I was in my 20is .And I sold it regret it ever since very nice work can't wait to see it done
Keeping things simple makes for better results! We don't need a 1000 cfm paint blaster or a special bending rig or a 300a mig
I'm impressed Chad still has all 10 of his fingers 👍🏻
So are a lot of people! 😲
Why?
Stay after it Chad looking great 👍👍
Nice job 👍 on the pillar, looking good .
A brow on the wind shield, like someone commented would look really good imo
Chad’s metal working skills are unbelievable. Jolene’s camera work capturing all the details of Chad’s work is amazing. Thank you
The Vevor hydraulic flare tool is what I have. Yes perfect flares every time.
Hello everybody 😂happy Thursday.
Hey Fellow BIG HEAD
Chad, this is gonna be one of your better bills. I believe it’s gonna be an awesome car.😊
I love the window shape on the car. Hard working on something so rusted. As an older lady I never thought I would find a chop shop this interesting. But I like how you guys work together. Take it easy.
50/50 vinegar and water in spritz bottle will rust shiny mettle quickly.
Nice work everyone, interesting to see an engineering mind at play. 😊😊😊
Nice job on the A pillars Chad , I was concerned on the right , but you pulled it off 👍⚙️🔧😎⚒️
Nice 👍
Does anyone else think the rear axle looks upside down?
Looks right to me, the drive pinion is down low, as it should be.
Front window steel turned out great! I loved the OG high roof, but I can’t deny the chop is turning out very clean brother.✊🏾
the chop looks good
Love how the front windscreen is done
It's looking great Chad.
Thanks Chad 😊
The car looks bad ass love it
Another great looking build, nice work Chad and Jolene
Looking good, Hiltz Auto Co ..
Do you have to keep the drip rail?
looking great!!!
👍👍
Chad, loving this build. lets name it TETANUS SHOT.
FINA!!!
Jolene in the welding mask I saw your image. It was very cool and artistic.
He's making a mess of that
Awesome work Chad
🙂
Yes I really like the chop
Would look really cool with a visor
Yay Jolene, great help
Chad. What. About. The. Part. You cut. Off
Utube pays good
Hokus Pokus and the Bodymoldings were gone.... A real Mastercreaftsman.. NOT ! Gotta hurry up so it can get in storage with all the other crappy "Builds"...
😂😅😅😅🤣😆🤣🙏

69 years ago Illinois passed the first seat belt legislation in the United States
BOX STATE COLORADO 719. JOLEEN SHOULD BE A BILBOARD FOR WELDING SKOOL. Haha😅
Make a visor for the top of the windshield to make it look chopped
That's a great idea. It'll give character to the windshield. It'll definitely give it that aggressive look.
Pretty much looks like it’s chopped now 😂😂😂
That's an awesome idea.
I'm thinking the same thing. It will also help conceal the noticeable height discrepancy between the windshield and the side windows.
Chad it looks beautiful man your gonna have the worlds most coolest hand build car collection ever keep up the good work all this bad Chad fabrication going on one day it’s all coming together one by one it’s no rush see most guys commenting are all stuck in this get a whole bunch of shit done in 45 minutes and on to the next show this shit can take years you do it as you please and the true fans like me will be here every day to fan club you guys for all the amazing episodes thanks for taking us along your journey with these cars
💪💪
Gonna look Great 👍 Go for it Chad 👁🐅👌
THIS channel is the best comedy show i have watched for a long time ..
Is their an end to this guys endless Gump ramblings >Get Nath in the house he knows what he is doing ...if that's OKAY if you know what i am saying 😂😂🙃
Chad reminds me of that famous painter Bob Ross. Talks his way through the different steps as he paints. Fantastic 👍I enjoy this aspect of the build where Chad is creating.
Thank God all you experts are here with advice. Chad has never done any custom work before. He'd never make it without you telling him how wrong he is doing everything.
Somehow this front window doesn't look good, too high...
BadChad I,Ve been around some and have to talk myself thru projects and I,Ve watched you from the show to TH-cam start and you talk yourself thru jobs and I mean that to the highest degree much respect to you BadChad Sweet Jolene Fina Doug Nate please blast this ol Plymouth and put it in hot rod black all this hard work this car deserves black primer
@@RickyPinkston Ha Ha, I've been talking my self through things all my life, they say it's one of a dozen or so things people of Hi IQ do all the time. Not bragging but I think I can resemble that remark.
When all of the people who get to know you pretty good say things like: How did you learn to do soo many things like this R.C. ? Well, you have to do them, then you have " knowledge " and a bunch of knowledge makes Wisdom and then they start calling you a genius. 😎😂
@@RonCobb-co6dr AND I AGREE WITH YOU
Great project bringing this rust bucket back from the scrap pile! Nice
see rushing makes mistakes and then you can really fuck things up
You were doing so good until you put that A piller on.
Looks like a piece of angle iron on a round car.
At least some of us have 20/20 vision....looks like crap
@georgegunner662 It's a Plymouth! They all look like crap! Only Fords look cool.
Leaving a patina means all those shit-show uncleaned welds showing? To lazy to clean metal before welding?
The new metal always fits very well from the beginning. Great work! 👍
I like the angle of the dangle you put into the windshield, looks ? Racie ? And the A pillars look sweet too. Nice job Chad bad. And you did it in your basement in record time ! Ha ! ❤
You guys are Cooler Than Dang It!
You made a mess of the second attempt.
Too much emphasis on how it must fit in an hour
So far not to bad, except don't put edges on a car full of curves :-).
Should of wheeled up the A piller and hammer stretch out the bottom flair...
Ah well lol :-)
Yea he does..
hi Chad Jolene & Fina
Where are the boys, listening to them and watching them work is half the fun and enjoyment of watching the channel.
The three guys have jelled together nicely.
I was sceptical at first.
The quarter window looks much better than Dodge shape--good work ! Nice to have two people able to weld !!!
Awesome job brother I love watching your video
Just weld in pieces of an old Pogo stick with coat hanger.
I say negative things when I feel it necessary but I also say positive things. I really enjoy the look of this chop, it's really beautiful.
Truly enjoy watching Chad work on these projects he is a true artist. Keep up the good work!
You could use clear acrylic sheets to make patterns like that, except they're probably more expensive. But for those of us not as talented, could be useful.
Building hotrods and ratrods has always been my favorite ❤
The job is coming out Very nice.
Rust bucket 101 right here folks
Chad/Jolene, your channel has blown me away ever since I found it a few months ago. There's a wonderful character and personality evident that underscores everything you do, in the genuine relations between you, Nate, Doug and everyone you come into contact with. It's the people that brings the viewers back, and it's perhaps telling that in two seasons with Discovery, they missed showing your personality. In my eyes, your creations are not boring "customs" but full-on Art Cars as they are born from a different (freer) way of thinking that few others can achieve because they fear judgement from peers. I love seeing your builds, how your vision unfolds, and really love following along when you are out interacting with people. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do this. Keep doing it the Bad Chad way! It's my new favorite way to end my day on a positive note.
Coming right along!
WELL DONE
It’s all about the views if they are falling off then they have to move on to a different project
You go bad chad
Happy turd day oh shit happy Thursday sry about that :)!! we still got 28 minutes . what’s up y’all what’s it gonna be who’s on the air with our boy bad chad and his lovely Jolene it’s gonna be a fabrication Thursday
Dang when you put that peace of metal in I swear it disappeared because the rust color matched perfectly awesome job Jolene
Great work Chad. I am a big fan of your show and you tube channel. May I suggest that you check into the Milwaukee nibbler as it might be a time saver for you when your cutting metal.

Fantastic Job Chad!
Front window and pillars look age
Appropriate.. Great idea to use Patina Material.
You can spray bare metal with
Vinegar / peroxide/ table salt
Mix to rust it up.
Rat Rods freeze m Africa had a
Episode where he gave his formula mixture that instantly
Created rust.
Lets start takin bets on how long it takes Chad to build a Bench, not cuz he wants or needs one but, just so all of us Old Guys will STFU about him workin on the Floor 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😎
1933 dodge, dash in center and oval with flat ends
From a retired auto body tech of 40+ years . I just absolutely do not understand how you don’t keep metal specks embedded in your eyes. To me those glasses are totally inadequate. I like to watch your builds but I cringe every time you grab that grinder.
Always remember you can make new metal rusty by some very easy methods you can find on the Internet. I think it's usually done using vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and salt.
Is it just me or does it get worse and worse every day?
Hello from Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada great videos thanks for sharing with all of us 😊
Love the skill God has given you, remember to give him praise....Amen love your channel.
6 hours in …. most people would wish they could do this kind of work , nevermind how quik . Why would anyone hate on it and judge ? …. You decide why , i think i know why ….
Theres all kinds of chemicals that will create any rust you disturb, and most work fairly instant
Chad looking good. Always follow what's in your head. Take care and keep up the good work,
I go to pick up my hearing aides in a few days. The reason for that is doing stuff he just did with an angle grinder with out hearing protection. Just saying.
Top of the roof must have shifted a little left/right. That or it was in an accident at some time in its past. Unlikely as that would be :)
I think rather than a hard brake on the A pillow skin I would have rolled that over pipe or something. Just my belly button ha ha ha
Right on brother. I figured when he gets a few more years on those knees he'll invest in a bench. ✌️
you need a shirt pocket fot that pen chad.
