Your jacket is beautiful Christine! Your York is going to be gorgeous in that fabric. Can’t wait to see it all done. Have fun at the market - sister time is so special! 🇨🇦💞
I finished the York last night. I may need to redo the binding around arms. It is sitting a little odd. I probably should have followed my own advice and not done late night sewing 😂
Thanks so much for the review of the Ilford Christine, it’s great to hear someone else’s perspective on a make, I love making mine too, I too found the cuffs narrow enough, possibly slightly too narrow, I think I will do the opposite to you and size up next time, have a great weekend ☺️☺️
your pinafore is going to be so beautiful! i made a blazer and skirt out of the same fabric last year but in a different colorway. i too thought it would be too big and bold but i ended up loving it (well, except for the skirt which is now too small). thanks for the mention!
The bias bound seams are beautiful - I love that finish in a jacket. I really love the fabric you used. The York Pinafore is one of my favorite patterns - I LOVE the fabric you used for yours - it's gorgeous!! I am going to be sewing some gifts this month and into December for the challenge (obviously, the Dec makes will be too late for the challenge). I don't have a ton but do have a few that I'm excited about.
Great vlog... I particularly enjoyed your review of the. Ilford jacket 😊 I have the pattern and keep putting off sewing it 😏 so my plan is to go now and wash my fabric and.......trace off the pattern 😁 thank you for inspiring me into action 😂🤣

Thank you! I love spending time with my sisters! I am wearing my pinafore today and love it.
Fab jacket, Christine! Great work! 💗
Thanks Andra, I love it! I bought some walnut colored denim to make one for Charlie. That will probably not happen until late December or January
I LOVE. My York pinafores. I do wear “tap pants” under, so it doesn’t stick to my leggings. I adore your fabric.
Thanks Helga! I finished my York and have already worn it three times. Got lots of compliments at work and the pockets hold so much!
Love your jacket! I am inspired! Look forward to seeing your helens closet make too!

I am loving my pinafore. I finished it last night. With a black top and leggings the print does not feel too much.

Yay! 👏 It is not as difficult as I imagined. The sew along tutorial is a real confidence booster. The Friday Pattern Co block fits me really well.
