These are great. The Underdark stories remind me of the Necromunda stories from Warhammer 40k.

im playing baldurs gates 3 and i choose to go through the mountain pass and i never thought id say this but i should have taken the road through the underdark where its safe

Then you might find it even odder, that its author is Mark Anthony, not Salvatore.
Might be a pseudonym, but couldn't find any suggestions he ever used one, so that's doubtful.
