You did that with these images! Especially the night shots with Mo. I haven’t used my BWXX yet. I’m waiting for the right moment. I’m a TX 400 fan

Thank you! I am slowly converting over to Tri-x 400 as it's a beautiful black and white film as well! Thanks for watching!

I just shot a roll of this film. I shot mine at 800 and had the lab push it two stops. When I got my scans back I was blown away! The contrast and the grain is amazing! I haven't shot HP5 but looking at the comparison I will probably stick to bwxx. Great video! Keep it up!

I’ve been curious about this stock for a while. I’ve used HP5+ and Tri X, but after watching your review I’m definitely going to pick up a few rolls! Thanks for taking the time to put the review out.

Hi, just a quick technical note, BwXX (Kodak Double X) is not an ECN-2 stock and so is not manufactured with a remjet layer. What you are seeing in her shirt isn’t halation. Double X has a limited latitude to begin with, so with pushing the film the whites are going to blow out even faster.

I appreciate the technical note! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I shoot Eastman Double X in the 16mm motion picture format on an Aaton camera and indeed the latitude is about 1.5 stops on the highlights. I find I have to reign highlights in when I shoot it. It's an excellent film for interiors in my opinion. This film does not have remjet as the previous message explains. It's a very unique film and has a beautiful tonal range.

Just wanted to say a big thanks for this, just got a roll of 35mm and was in a pickle at what to shoot it at, so thanks to this vid I think I’ve made my mind up and going for 400 pushed 1 stop 😁, luurve the inky blacks that this produces, nice to see the comparison with the hp5 as well 👍
