Blown away, again, by your music Mr. Jon. You put your ALL into it. I truly believe you set the bar on high a standard of achievement. There is always some way to add a dimension of depth to a piece. When I watched/listened to the 1st YT video of your "Passionflower" performance, it reset my thinking about what can be done on a guitar. That was years ago... and you have continued to grow from there. Thanks for sharing your gift.
What's the reverb you're using on this, Jon? Strymon Big Sky, Hologram Microcosm, or something like that? Whatever it is, it's lush and I love it. Oh, and the tune and playing are alright too. :D
The reverb is not any of those, I "built" it all myself using loads of plugins. There's 12 different reverbs on the track, and many of those are made of synths, delays, pitch-shifters, modulations, granulators, EQ filtering, overdrive, and *maybe* an actual reverb. The only actual "shimmer reverb" plugin I used was DuskVerb, which is a freeware plugin, but its Javascript, so you can only use it in Reaper or other nerdy software. There's no VST or other stock format version.
As usual..incredible arrangement... I'm not a fan of the original song but it is a iconic.... The only criticism is much the same as I would for the very many classical guitarists that make excellent covers.... vocal melody timing from the original song is very important and taking liberties to compensate for rhythm timing really pulls away from the song, especially for well known pop...

Perfect. Played by a deeply thoughtful and kind man.
The tastefully-used shimmer reverb brings such a serene feeling to it. Beautiful 🖤
Love it! Great to see!
The synth adds 🔥to the already amazing playing!
Buying the tabs, even though it will take a year to play it fluently, better early than never 😅
Great Cover! You can never have too many serious rock poses either!
Stunning keep smashing the envelope!!
Love it, this and Stop by Erasure have always been guilty pleasures for me (as a classic rock fan). Great songs. Great interpretation ❤

Just brilliant Jon, as usual. I loved your bare feet too - now I know what to call you: The BGM (barefoot guitar maestro)!
I like it ! ...
if only the Shimmer reverb would come in multichannel sound out of the TH-cam ...
Nice subtle use of ambient reverb.
Can't tell if this is sarcasm! Ha ha! "Sit back and relax as I subtly pour this entire bucket of reverb over your head"
Put can you put a fruit pastel in your mouth without chewing it?
Fooking Awesome Mr Gomm 👏
Ohhh hooo ooohhhhhj

@@jongomm Fair do's - whatever you've put together, it sounds good. :)
This is a song by Silence 4 😁
Let me fix that for you...
This is a song that was "covered" by Silence 4.
@@rdouthwaite I was just joking because I like the band :)
@@joaoreis1612 no worries 👍
It's Wheatus, and you know it 😅

I don't think I've changed the vocal melody rhythm.... :D Maybe it just sounds different in this context. We need a mash up video to check!!!
