Wow thank you for this review. I like that you point out good and bad. I think you are right for the money they should give you more kms. Wow disappointing
Thanks for sharing. Good to hear from real world experience. The Maxxis were on my short list of 3 for my next tyres, with Ko3’s or Yokohama x-AT’s. You’re got me thinking ! Cheers
Hi thanks for watching and glad it helped. Little spoiler next week we might have a video of interest to you considering one of the tyres you are considering. Thanks again and hope to see you back again. Matt and Leisa.
Interesting episode. We have them fitted to the RAM and Prado. Definitely showing a lot of wear on t RAM after nearly 60k lm with a 6 tyre rotation, so less than 40k on each. Will be replacing them soon, just trying to work out with what. Very happy with them except for the wear rate. On the Prado they have done about 25k and still looking good but it is a lot lighter and doesn't do any towing.
Hey guys. Yeah I really liked the tyres but they just didn’t stand up to what we expected especially considering the price point they sit at. We have just had new tyres fitted and took them on the trails last weekend. The video will be up next Friday. These could be a very option for the Ram.
I purchased a set of these a couple weeks ago. They not responsive on the highways traveling and absolutely suck in the rainy conditions. I am already looking to replace them.
Oh wow that’s terrible. We found for us they had good road manors and their wet weather performance was ok. Bit of a spoiler but we just had the first set of the new 295/70R17 BFG KO3’s in Australia fitted to our Gladiator. We hit the trails last weekend to see how they went and they are definitely an improvement over the Maxxis. We are also in Queensland and this morning had chance to get onto wet roads. Even when trying to encourage slip etc on roundabouts the new KO3’s are significantly better than the Maxxis and light years better than the old KO2’s. What will you do with the Maxxis? Sell them then new tyres?
I have exactly the same tyres my biggest issue is that they are terrible in the wet on the highway but they are a great tyre for offroad never had a flat and they bag out nicely, I probably wouldn't buy them again at that price point
Interesting experience, I found them ok on wet roads until the end. Definitely agree great off road but think you are right about the price point not being right.
Lovely Ep and review, Did you pay full price for them tyres thanks, Yes that is poor ks I get around 55,000ks out of Chinese 10 ply ATs in 265/75 x 16s on our 80 series towing our 5m tinny trailer, I pay around $210 a corner fitted . last set got around 35,000ks on them now still got heaps to go, Doing Cape York and Kimberley and the Tanami and plenty, and dirt roads around home,
Thanks for keeping it real
If it can help people make a decision without sponsorship bias I’m happy. 😃

Hope this can help people make an informed decision as they maybe the right tyres just depends on what you need out a set of tyres.

I need to comment and say. I love your wheels!
Yes I agree. Considering never thought we could get them we are very happy. There is more to come on that note in the coming months 🤔

@filthyoffroadadventures yes I do like them, but they are expensive for the KMs you get out of them.
Will check out next week's video 👍
Love my KO2’s. Love the content.
Hi Jase. Yes the BFG’s are very good and we saw that first hand last weekend hey 👌

What do you think you will go for next?
@filthyoffroadadventures kenda klevers RT I think, if the Maxxis were a bit more poker friendly I would have stayed with them
@fernandoharo1661 cool would love to hear how they go as have not heard much about them. Always interested to know how different brands perform.
Was not expecting you to say you would not buy them again. 😮
Yeah I liked the tyres from a technical perspective but don’t think they represent value when considering the poor mileage against the price.

Yes we did. Got them at a local tyre shop in Springwood.
@@filthyoffroadadventures Nice one Thanks
@craigtomkinson2837 no worries happy to help. I just found the receipt it was a tyre power store.
Such a pity loved these tyres just wish they lasted longer.
Agree a shame for sure.
