- Seems that just as I am hitting a new phase of my channel, there is a wave of TH-camrs quitting the platform. I have not been around long enough to speak on authority on the subject, but I have to wonder what is driving the mass exodus. I am quite fortunate to not rely on the income generated from a monetized channel for living expenses. Someday that would be a fun thing to experience, but for now, I want the channel to be self-amortizing.
I found a way to still get knives, but not add them to my collection. In other words, I discovered a loophole. This is great news and makes me very happy. For those of you who were concerned that my channel was in peril due to my moratorium on buying knives, rest assured that I am not going anywhere and will still be at it, but a little differently.

I've been working on diction and tamber and smoothness as well as a hint of elegance to my voice. If I could learn to talk like @AlfieAesthetics I could make it a "Watching Paint Dry" channel and have a million subs. Wow. But alas, I don't see that happening.

BPS makes great knives. I prefer them to Mora at the same price. Wooden handles and leather sheaths compared to plastic just seem to go better with Bushcraft and nature. I did not make a resolution to stop buying knives, it's just that I have the ones that I wanted to get. But in your case it's different because you have a channel to continue.
I almost hate to admit it, because I really do love Mora and especially the Companion that I shortened. th-cam.com/video/N18O3IfJIx8/w-d-xo.html
But...BPS does seem to hold an edge longer and as much as I like the rubber handle on the Companion, and really trust it when I am wood carving, the idea of simple, traditional wood and steel for a knife really sits better with me.

I actually thought of the loophole, lanyard hole thing when I was editing and wondered if anyone would say anything. I guess it could be used that way. And Thong Hole. But, to me that means one thing, anyone under 40 it means another.
