Blacksmithing - Forging a Basket Weave Leather Stamp

I saw a basket weave stamp on Ebay that I really liked, however it was quite expensive. So having the tools and knowledge I decided to make one myself.

Well done. I have made some beautiful gouges for turning wood on my lathe as well as knives ect, but I have to admit, this simple solution never crossed my mind.
After realizing the Tandy stamp tool set I started with was complete garbage and paying $53+ shipping for a single Barry King basketweave stamp, I will absolutely be making multiple sizes of this pattern.
That BK stamp was a revelation after smashing so much good leather to hell with the ragged Tandy junk, I was laughing out loud after the 1st tap, unbelievable difference and made the work much easier and faster, but for the costs of those tools, I will replicate as many as I can if possible.

I make in leather. I thought this was in my feed because of that pastime. Blacksmithing is my for-pleasure watch. Not something I felt I could take up right now. Making your own stamps is cool AF. I really appreciate how clean the pattern is!

Nice looking tool. Is it for sale? I really like that basketweave look. Most I have seen in the leather stores are too busy...a design within a design...and too expensive. Very nice.

Get sony vegas pro on the pirate bay or crack it somewhere and you can use it for free, it's hard to understand at first but the things you can do are endless, just a piece of advice if you're looking for software
