    These are genuinefly first class videos. I love my machine. One small suggestion: "It's pretty simple, bring your machine to operating temperature....etc" - otherwise when you go to clean it says "BUSY". And once the 370 seconds is over I guess that's it?

    Dear Breville. If the hot water (tea etc) button no longer had water flowing - what’s the problem.

    what about the top lid for water refill from the top? The closure is locked very often and need to open it carfully with a knife to fill vinegar in the mechanism. Is there a drable solution?

    Thanks for posting this easy to follow and informative video. I'm still not in love with my Oracle but I'm going to give it a chance. I switched from a high end JURA machine on the advice of my sales person at SurLaTable and although it has some very nice features like being able to fill it without removing a tank and the automatic frothed - it still has not made coffee as tasty as my old Jura. I'm trying different coffee beans and hopefully will discover the machines full potential!

      Prince Littlewolf I did the clean as prompted and instructed and now the machine is not working. On turning on it now makes a whirring grindy noise. It does show that it is heating and it reaches usual operational temperature of 200F. It grinds beans normally but when I try to brew it's noisy again, making a hammering sound in pre-infuse, then the usual sounds when it's meant to start infusing, but NO WATER DRIPS THROUGH the filter. What to do?!

      Basically no water is going through the filter basket!! And yes there is water in the machine!!

      Unfortunately I can't help you - I really didn't like the Oracle in the end and I purchased another JURA machine. I have owned a lot of the high end machines and keep going back to the Jura as it is to easy to use and makes the BEST cup of Joe! If you are fortunate enough to live close by a SurLaTable store - this is where I always purchase my machines and they will give you a demo and an espresso shot from each machine so you can make your decision. Good luck!

    Hi, how do you Clean the Breville the Barista Touch - BES880BSS Internal Cleaning Process? and all Cleaning?. thank you.

  • @willbingham8811
    @willbingham8811 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    My BES980XL just stopped grinding all together- it sure tries (for like 90 seconds) to tamp and polish a non-existent dose of coffee grounds. I cleaned it immaculately- there is nothing lodged- the grinder simply never seems to get any signal to begin grinding. So sad- I loved this machine till now.

    Very disappointed you didn't show the descaling process. This is why I came here.

    Hi
    I would like to ask for your support regarding a problem that I had.
    when flashing "clean me" light , As shown in the video I used the cleaning tablet with blind rubber, then I pushed the buttons (1 2 cup power ) together to start the descaling cycle.
    The problem is that !.
    Although the pressure gauge and pump operation, water did not comes out from portafilter into cup,
    There is a blockage? or what did I do wrong?

    Is that clean water daily backflush essentially replacing rinsing the brew head and the PF?

    • @Chriswales
      @Chriswales 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It helps clear the 3 way valve inside the machine. This valve dumps water/coffee into the drip tray after a shot is pulled. So the coffee puck is drier when the PF is removed. Running water through the shower screen & PF doesn't clear the tube to the drip tray.

    What...? After every time I make coffee he wants me to run 3-4 backflushes? Is he crazy....is the machine that poorly made it needs this....what is the logic and rationale here. I hope he misspoke himself!!!

    Hi Phil, The temp is flicking between 61 and 62 degrees and just not reaching 93 degrees. Any ideas? Service centre can't look it at until after Christmas, so just grasping for ideas to continue my morning coffee ritual! Help!

      Replying for anyone else who might still be looking for this answer. My experience is that if it stops heating around 150F and won't make it to the usual 200F, then it's apparently a safety override that keeps the boilers from overheating, because they don't have enough water in them. Press the "hot water" button, which should still work (the other buttons don't), and let lots of water run through your system, filling the boilers. Fixed my problem immediately.

    This machine is a pile of garbage. Sent 1st one back for 4 repairs! Yes, 4. After the 4th, they sent me a new one. That unit went back within 6 months for a 'fix'. It's still not fixed and Breville now refuses to help. Never again.

    I’ve got two high end Breville coffee machine one of which I’ve sold. I bought a rocket coffee machine recently and the breville is a toy compared to the Rocket. Save your money and get one. Life’s too short to drink crap coffee.
