Super Stereo DN78
Sound: Very warm and soft. The best performance is achieved by setting the channel volume to the maximum and looking for the channel clip with the gain. This way you get the best of the valve a beautiful sound in the bass and mid bass with a feeling of soft compression very warm and organicSmooth distortion at high frequencies.
Feeling: The tracks fuse very well when mixing, the ISO is a bit handy, it puts + 8 db but to me it seems that it is quite more.
Aesthetics: It's nice even though it has controls with slightly scattered locations
Condesa Lucia
Sound: Beautiful, warm, spacious and with lots of air. Their harmonics fall in love. Hugs you. HiFi
Feeling: the most demanding audiophiles should be very satisfied with such a mixer. I see it perfect to play music with soul. The ISO is very soft and friendly, I know that there are now options of discrete ISO and ISO IC 24db that will surely be more playful
Aesthetics: Beautiful and robust. It is a beauty. I think that condesa makes the most beautiful mixers in the world.

I’ve really enjoyed this video, thanks. Just dipping my toe into the world of rotary mixers now. I have a small suggestion: when you really need to nudge the pitch on a live track, that’s a perfect time to kill the lower frequencies, as it will hide that pitch bending sound.
What a difference in sound! The sound of the Condesa suits my ears better, than the more high sounding DN78.
These are such sonically excellent tracks to showcase each mixer! Fantastic work and butter smooth mixing
Glorious low end on the Lucia...
Would love a comparison with the master sounds
High sound clearer (better) to my ears on the first one plus I prefer the layout but I wouldn’t kick either out of bed!
It’s a tough decision but a nice position to have the privilege to choose!
Important to notice that while the DN78 is playing the first song there's an important part that has the middle range knob a little bit up, whereas when the Condesa is playing all knobs are straight
Nice vidéo thanks !!
i have a Lucia for mixing house and electronic music so i am happy with it a lot of low end but really the dn78 sound brighter !! and i think for an audiophile it will be the dn 78 to my ears....
But for mixing house Lucia has a killer low end, send return for fx, crossfader like cue, and the switch phono/line is just perfect for cuts !!!
Love that tube bite and sparkle. Surprisingly not warming or blooming the beat, though.
Such a beautiful DJ Mixer. 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for the test! Delightful music and great mixers. Recording in WAV (16-Bit/44.1 kHz) can help for more detailed conclusions.
I just used that Miles Away track in my mix an hour ago before I started watching videos about rotary mixers . . .
Oh, and then into Quasars? You're a man after my own heart!
Both sound amazing through my reference HD560S headphones, a playlist would be apreciated.
super stereo sounds way clearer, condesa smoother, warmer. The question should be, how do they compare to the original track. But both, amazing mixers.
Holy shit these sound great !
Would be great to download the same record through each mixer on same record player as seperate wav file to compare. This is not so easy here jumping forth and back. Hm, i think DN78 is clearer and more detailed in stereo signal.
I love that mixer, it is Awesome . 😀💙💙💙
Which one??
Nice review we have both in the Studio and also a Bozak ar-4 .....now we are looking to get a Varia Instruments rdm 20 have any one try it?
Love it! Keep it up my friend :)
perfect music
I wish challenge Condesa vs Bozak AR4
coming soon
The Lucia sounds veiled compared to the DN78, which sounds absolutely incredible, probably the best sounding mixer on the market right now.
and still it is
amazing what is the track at 7:03 ? thanks
Really hard to tell on TH-cam but nice to see them in action, the condesa is a tad more expensive but I guess in this price bracket they are pretty close. Which do you think has the better build quality?
Great Video Thank You
There is a $1000 difference between the two, the Condesa being 3500 vs Super Stereo being 2500
Hello. Very well done, thank you for this upload. May I ask which cartridge/stylus you are using on your 1210s? Thanks and cheers from way up north!
Feel the valves colour the sound a bit more on the Condesa not necessarily a bad thing.
The dn78 just seems a bit more true to source.
Are they both discrete ?
Can you bypass the valves or are they integral to the circuit.
Would be nice if you had some kinda control of them.
I’m splitting hairs here, they both sound lush 😂
Nice mix 👍
Very nice to see this test as I'm looking right now into those two mixers. (Actually the new updated DN78 and the Carmen V).
Would you be able to reupload the wav tracks ? Or mail them ?
Can you do a track list?
Hi thanks for the share. I'm torn between both of these mixers. If YOU had the choice which one would you go for?
Love the Condesa, what's the second track played on it??? :)
Wavs have been removed unfortunately
condensa = sounds fuller, smoother comfy.......dn78 = sharper, more detailed.....pick ur poison
Condesa.. 4 sure 💪🏿
Hi ! Thank you for the review. What speakers are you using also ?
hi,what is your opinion? not shure they sound different, one is more open the other ¨the condesa¨ less harsh but less details also, from here
Thanks heaps for sharing. Haven't been able to decide which one to get between these two mixers. Which one do you prefer based on the sound. Love your taste in music. I've got a few of those vinyl. Cheers from Australia.
Thanks. Being in Australia I would not hesitate!
What about being from London?
Please what is the last track? Thanks for the comparison
Beautiful toys...lucky you! Who's the artist of the first track, if you don't mind sharing?
i love this one! linkwood family - miles away
Thanks Rui, that's kind!
For my money the Super Stereo has a clearer sound. Condessa sounds a bit muddy in comparison. Also, on the last track (what is it?) I'm hearing pops over the Condessa that are not heard on the Super Stereo. Compare 22:06-22:16 to 11:06-11:16. Definitely a lot more pops . . . hard to attribute that to a mixer though.
False, thats a scratch on the record, he even points it out with the finger at 18:45 before placing it on the turntable.
What phono carts you using?
awesome review , whats that track?
Thanks! At the end of the video the tracks
Hello, Do you know the first track by any chance?
Would love to know which is better Condesa v or dn78
How long had the DN78 been running when you made the recording? I understand the sound will change as the valve warms up.
About an hour in , they seem to change , brighter , & better soundstage, thats when i dont want to turn it off !
@@jimlud22 15 minutes max in the standard in pro-audio and according to the pro electronics engineers.
hi! how are you!? I’m interested in a Condesa mixer ; how the mixer is shipped from Australia ? When it arrives, does it get taxed by USA customs ? If so, what is the percentage of the tax ?
DID YOU FIND ALL OF YOUR ANSWERS
Wat was the answer
Whats that first tune you're playing?
Which of them more comfortable in use?
They are different, very different
i bought the super stereo but i don't receive it !!!! two month and still nothing !
Michael Chatelain did it ever arrive?
whats the track at 16:24 ?
Better late than never: Mr. Fingers - Qwazars
The only reason I haven’t bought the dn78 is the word font looks like it belongs on a kids toy.
it sounds amazing I have both
Damn, why are the pops so much more prevalent when you are playing on the Lucia, than when you were on the DN78?!? Like, my studio monitors were "snap, crackle, popping" so loud I had to turn the volume down. Hmm, that's weird.
