Princess and the Frog is just as good as Tangled and Frozen. Tiana doesn't get nearly as much attention as she should 😞

I HATE the Frozen vs Tangled argument!!! Why can't people love both? lol as a Frozen fanatic, it drives me nuts! And I agree with you on Happily Ever After. I loved Wishes but HEA is so much better. I worked at MK during the first showing so it'll always have a special place in my heart!

Heather M ME TOO! Rapunzel is my favorite official Disney princess but frozen is also one of my favorite movies! I don’t think they can compare! They are both so amazing and definitely in my top 5 disney movies. I think most people just say that tangled is better than frozen because everybody wants to sound cool by saying that frozen is horrible. Frozen is an amazing movie and so many people hate it only because it is “overrated” I love both movies and couldn’t possibly compare!
I would die for Epcot and Figment. They are both national treasures.
In response to Churros all I can say is this Disneyland Churros are AMAZING! Disney World Churros are horrible! They should just remove them from Disney World and just have them at Disneyland!
My super unpopular opinion is for Disneyland, I hate the Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Christmas redo! I know everyone else loves it but I just never cared for that movie.

Another point to add to the “Disney is a business” argument is a lot of their bigger expansion projects are funded by sponsors. So if sponsors/investors don’t see a high enough profit margin they’re not going to fund projects. You can say goodbye to new rides and renovations if Disney stops increasing their margin of profit each year 🤷🏼♀️ do I agree with all of their business choices, uh no. But does that mean I want them to stop making those business choices if it means the parks won’t improve? Also no. Unfortunately we’re not going to like every decision they make about the parks 🤷🏼♀️

Shannah Davidson, 100% agree! Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess and Tangled is my 4th favorite Disney movie.
Tangled made almost 600 million at the box office and majority of people will tell you that it's better than frozen. Stop acting like it's underrated, I love tangled but it's fans are annoying with constantly comparing it to frozen

Okay, why I think the Illuminations preshow, show, and post-show track is so iconic (and underhyped) is because it sounds "dated". The music clip you inserted was part of the Tapestry of Nations/Tapestry of Dreams parade that Epcot had during the Millennium Celebration and through the early 2000's. I feel the whole experience is very rooted in that era of time and that's why everybody's so keen on a new nighttime show at Epcot.
I completely agree about Epcot!! It’s always been my fav park since I was young and I’ve never understood why everyone hates it 😂
I did my college program as custodial in epcot's world showcase and let me just say, that illuminations closing music took me BACK. I watched illuminations every night and I would watch it again in a heartbeat. if people gave epcot a fair chance, they'd see that it has so many AMAZING things to offer!
lilo and stitch is literally my favourite disney movie, but stitch is so so different in the actual movie than he is in the parks, and then lilo and (literally any other characters) never get appreciated! i have a lot of feelings about this and i would like lilo to actually be on merch rather than just stitch all the time. thank you for coming to my ted talk

Meeting characters is the best😭 Even the queue lines are fun ! Did an after dark last winter and it was a blast ! Got to see so many of my favs !!
the whole point of modern epcot is to showcase different cultures which is why i think it doesn’t walk the line of appropriation. would i buy any traditional clothing? no. but do i think that it’s meant to show anything more than the celebration of diversity & the beauty of culture? absolutely not!
In my opinion, the line has always been respect. Are you being respectful to the culture? Honoring the culture? Acknowledging the culture? These are the big things. I went to Japan and the Japanese were happy to sell me the chance to wear a Kimono, and I'm sure they would have sold me one to take home if I wanted. Allowing people to experience other cultures and learn about them in a respectful way is a great way to destroy xenophobia and dispell ignorance.
Yes, and to me the fact that its people from the actual country working there makes it so much better too
I 100% don’t agree with that the pavilions shouldn’t sell costumes and clothings from their countries. It’s there for people who loves it and want it, it isn’t in any way inappropriate, disrespectful or anything like that. Yes there will be some ignorant people, but they’re gonna don’t whatever they want to mock anyway. It’s a great way to share a culture. Btw I’m Norwegian and I used to be a cast member in the Norway pavilion

Yes, Disney is a business. The issue I have is that it used to feel more like an escape than a business. ... Yeah, they could design a new nighttime parade, but it's obviously easier and more profitable to schedule more after-hours events. ... And yeah, they could extend their monorail line to connect the other resorts and parks, but it's obviously easier and more profitable to string-up 50 year-old transportation technology. ... And finally, they could come up with a rewards program that would truly reward annual visitors, but it's obviously easier and more profitable to pump the DVC well dry. ... Yeah, I get it. They're practically printing money these days. I just wish they'd remember who helped them buy the printers.

Some of these were really interesting! I loved hearing your views and I agree with most of them! Here’s some of my opinions that I don’t remember being mentioned:
-Finding Nemo the Musical is the best show in WDW
-DAK is my favorite park. This one isn’t too unpopular, but I felt it was worthy enough to mention.
-I actually like the 360° Circle Vision movies at Epcot.
-Quick service food at DHS is the worst.
-Fantasmic is not that good.
-Philharmagic and Muppet Vision are gems that need to be protected.
-Epcot has way too many festivals 😬

Epcot is all about sharing and appreciating cultures from around the world, because culture is not meant to be owned, it’s meant to be shared and Epcot does that beautifully. It’s appreciation, not appropriation, people need to chill.

Mine, I don't think the churros are an iconic Disney food. The ones at the parks just make me think of Costco 😂 and Mickey sandwiches>Mickey bars. So I guess we'd get along!

I like Tangled better than Frozen simply for the fact that it’s really nostalgic for me. I have a lot of really great memories from when I was younger and watched it with my friends.

The reason why I don't like figment is because a couple of years ago I got stuck on his ride for a good 3 hours right before we "entered his house" and it felt like he was staring in my soul. I will never see him the same again

You were wondering why Stitch is so hyped up outside of the movie. I may have some answers. Firstly, Disney decided that the film made back enough money and got good enough ratings, so they came up with an animated series for the Disney Channel. This animated series turned out to be an award winner with good ratings as well, so several movies were spun off and some video games. I'm pretty sure I grew up a member of a cult fandom because of this (I'm one of the fans of Stitch outside of the first movie). The series also inspired some continuations in other countries which, in my opinion, are not quite on par with the original spin-off series that aired in America. However, they still seem to be pretty popular in those countries. This has also led to more Stitch merchandise in the parks and has even introduced some costume characters based on the series that came to Disney Channel. Another thing that probably spurred this was Disney put a LOT of money from the start into trying to make Stitch one of the Fab Five for whatever strange reason. I was starting to go to WDW with my family during those years and I actually still have Fab Five Stitch merch from those trips.

i totally agree w the statement about not selling traditional clothing at Epcot, like i get why they did it before because the park opened in like the eighties but nowadays it just seems so insensitive to me like, pay to dress up as these people at a weird condensed version of like millions of peoples cultures, it just makes me so uncomfy and im just they could come up w something better to sell in place of those / i love sit down videos more than vlogs most of the time tbh, im just excited for whatever content you choose to put up, either way, have a great time at disney!
I think wishes is better to me because you could watch it from anywhere in the park and still get the full story because it was all done through music. Happily ever after is amazing but if you aren’t in front of the castle to see the projections, it just doesn’t work as well. I loved being able to watch wishes from anywhere because Main Street gets way too crowded.
Comparing Disney movies is always going to be apples to oranges. Test track old queue was a headache lol. Also we all go through that Disney cycle of
Disney has a ride/ thing-> Disney changes that ride/thing to a new theme-> Disney people hate the idea of new ride/thing-> Disney people ride/experience the new ride/thing and love it but will always miss the original. And it continues

i love the princess and the frog part in friendship fair and the costumes in friendship fair but god dream along was so good and iconic and just felt way more disney just like wishes did :(

Okay so a few things: mine was that the parades and shows aren't worth it. Avoid the crowds and just go do rides
I get what you mean about these garish areas not fitting in with the aesthetic of the rest of Studios, but it actually makes sense to put Toy Story and Stars Wars there bc they were/are huge cinematic breakthroughs and that's what Hollywood is about
I think that Epcot should be able to sell traditional clothing. As long as the person respects the culture, it's fine. If it's traditional, it isn't a parody and doesn't mock the culture. In fact, clothes are a great way to teach traditions! Plus, you could make the argument that the cast members wearing uniforms inspired by a certain culture- like when Bron wore the African getup when she worked in DAK- are appropriation.
i completely agree with hollywood studios being a little jumbled around with a bunch of things that don’t really fit. i love the two original rides and the original shows that were there since the first time i’ve been. and the other/new rides/sections of the park are still enjoyable but it ruins the mood or theme of the park a little bit.
Same feelings as you about “wishes” and “happily ever after”!

Ok so I'm a year late commenting on this but...your eye twitch and "all right, listen" at 11:18 followed by EPIC ELSA RANT. I had never seen Frozen or anything Frozen-related before (I'm a dude) but my friend made me watch it and Frozen 2 recently and now I totally get it. The depth of Elsa's character and mental conflict honestly astonished me, my impression of Disney princesses was stuff like Jasmine from Aladdin I watched as a kid, and I was not expecting something so complicated and intense. Would totally die for Elsa now lol.
I'm an Elsa fan too. It's a wonderful movie. The message is so good. Love overcomes fear. I agree about the center of Poly. I miss the water and plants. I don't understand the Stitch hype either. I didn't know people were so crazy about him until recently. 🤔What? Happily Ever After is the bomb!
I went to Disney for my honeymoon and it was my first memorable time going ( as the first time I was barely 2 and there is only one picture of me in a sailor outfit in MK, I digress) and Epcot was by far my favorite park. I really liked Animal Kingdom because I love animals but the weather was awful that day and we hadn't really figured out the fast pass situation and had no idea where to go just were kinda roaming around. Dinoland also felt ...weird. I met Peter Pan at MK (because although you think he's overrated I truly love him and I'm wondering how he is overrated when he has zero merch out in the real world it's always tinkerbell which is the worst) and other highlights were Splash Mountain and the people mover tbh. I missed the beginning of Happily Ever After because I was stuck in Starbucks stupidly waiting on bevs :'(. I thought MK would be more magical for me and I didn't feel it the whole time and I was left disappointed with how much I had hyped it for myself. Epcot was our second park and I was not super excited about going because all that disney magic wasn't really there to my knowledge but then I went to Mexico and it was decked out in Coco and I literally cried because I'm constantly shook by that movie. I had no idea about all the different places and I met Mulan and was also shook and I loved it all and I was so happy. I didn't even get through the entire world showcase because I was enjoying each place so much. I'm just a huge fan I can't wait to go back to Epcot someday.
Yes!!! EPCOT is my absolute favorite park at WDW! I didn't realize how many people didn't like this gem of a park until I started joining groups on FB. I'm like, "whaaaaa??"

the only reason i’ve had a bad experience at epcot is because everytime i go to Disney, epcot is the last park we visit so everyone’s on edge and we never really enjoy the park.

Ever since I met someone who loves Epcot, and realized the reasons why they love Epcot, I have always said - if you don't love Epcot, you're doing it wrong. Epcot went from being BY FAR my least favorite park to almost the top of the list. It is probably our most visited park because of the versatility it has. If you don't love Epcot - go with someone who does and learn how to do it right! lol

OMG I was there for my program not too long after mine train opened.... I still clearly remember how disappointed I was in the ride. I'm pretty sure I only rode it that one time the entire year I was there.
I know around 2010 you could meet both Lilo and Stitch at DAK. I don't know why they changed to just Stitch when it would be more fun to meet both of them.

Epcot is literally my favorite park when I went to WDW so I really don’t get how people don’t like it. Also I think the churros are only good at Disneyland 😂 I’ve never had a bad one there
Be Our Guest has such bad food omg I just can’t stand it. I hate the dinner, the breakfast is mediocre, lunch is literally dinner but cold. The library room is lazy and you can’t get into it half of the time. Overhyped af.
Why Epcot is bad: Least amount of attractions, worst E-ticket attractions, least amount of rides, innoventions east/west is non existent, upgrades make the park worst (test track, journey into imagination, body wars removal), only 2 counties have rides and the park is 300 acres....do I need to go on?
I don't think selling cultural clothes at epcot is cultural appropriation ! Cultural appropriation is only when you wear a kimono for exemple and totally ignore or lie about the fact that it is japanese and you give the credit to you ! my japanese friends were always happy to wear a yukata with me and as I understood as long as people know that yukata or kimono are japanese, they don't have problem with it, it's the contrary, they are happy that people are interested about their culture :D

2) i am a HUGE fan of both frozen and tangled, why can't people just like them both

The line with cultural appropriation and appreciation is very blurry. Some may argue that World Showcase is all cultural appropriation (and most of Animal Kingdom). For me, it’s about intention. I want to learn and appreciate a culture with love.
The tapestry of nations audio clip from after illuminations fricked me up
last time i went to Hollywood studios i hates it. it was hot and there were no places to get AC and there aware NO rides but i’m going back this summer and they added two sections to the park so i hope i’ll enjoy it more

I'm literally Mexican and I think it's great people are enjoying my culture. They don't sell anything that portrays us in a bad or comedic light, so I love it. Just don't make fun of it - easy.
