Love the vintage CRXs! My mom had a similar-era DX hatchback. Three-valve head, five-speed. I got so good at doing 360s in the winter... I wanted so badly to put a Weber carb on it like a friend had on his. Wouldn't idle but would pull to 7k rpm hard (for its day). Still a Honda guy (02 S2k!). Keep up the cool videos about an awesome older car!

Did you get an alignment and then replace the axles afterward or was this video out of sequence. I do like the straight body on this car and has a lotof potential but hope you watch it like a hawk and car never leaves your line of sight.
jon i would highly recommend to him getting a magnaflow muffler to replace the one on the ebay exhaust thats what i did to mine and it vastly improved the sound

Yeah man, some just get tired of EF's. My closest friend (still a best friend) sold the white hatch to me and the crx to someone else and got the em1, and he sold that like 7 months later. He drives a Ford ranger now. Lol. I always make fun of him.

I think it'll be a little slow compared to the B swapped cars in our class. But he's learning and wanted to get as much seat time as possible first before swapping to a bigger engine.
Not at all. We didn't remove any nuts attached to the tie rods. And if it is off just slightly, an alignment has certain tolerances which are still within spec. I had my track car aligned back in March, then 2 months later I swapped out a transmission for s different one. I didn't get it aligned and have been to 4 track events after that swap, no issues. One more event left, then I'll get it aligned next year before the start of the new season.
Hey john I took out my battery from my honda for like 10 minutes but I keep blowing the the 60 amp fuse wen I connect terminals, do you kno wat is causing it to short out?
The reason why fuses blow is that there it too much resistance in the circuit and it caused a short. Reasons for a short - wires are exposed, wires are burned meaning fried of too much voltage through a wire. You're gonna have to troubleshoot and find out where it's coming from.

Lol, that's the 2nd comment. We didn't do any "suspension" work. An alignment has tolerances that are within spec. I guarantee you the car will drive fine and be within spec after what we did. I get alignments at least once a year on my track car, and the times I go back it is still within spec. I swapped my transmission after having my car aligned earlier this year. It drives straight as an arrow still and I drive it harder than any daily driver out there.
@@GarageBuiltHondas Cars will still drive straight and be out of spec. 100% guarantee if you take it back it will not have the same settings. I have been an automotive mechanic with a specialty in steering and suspension for over 15 years

Yup, lightweight car, low HP. The EBC setup won't be an issue with the 9.3" brakes. It'll be more than sufficient.
