      I wear a tinted combination type sunscreen as a BB Cream so it has been easy to squirt some in a refillable cushion compact purchased from AMAZON to refresh sunscreen and makeup at the same time. I also have a powder with SPF 50 that is the only one I have found that does not look cakey and thick even when you apply a lot. www.amazon.com/KARADIUM-Collagen-Smart-Pact-SPF50/dp/B07NQCYDFH/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Powder+with+SPF&qid=1599569747&s=beauty&sr=1-6

    I really liked your video Anne, it was interesting to see all the different ways to reapply sunscreen. I must say that for most of the time I didn't reapply sunscreen before an just avoided (if possible) being under the sun. When I try the one with the cushion applicator I'll tell you if it works for me, lately I've been wearing so little makeup (only brows and lashes most of the time) that I reapply like in the first way without problem. But if I start working again in an office and wearing more makeup, I'm sure I'm going to do it that way.
    I also struggled with Isdin sunscreen powder, the shade is too pink for me; funny enough I don't look pale but you can see that's not my undertone. And I was tempted to buy the Colorescience one but after this video and Labmuffin's one I decided it isn't a good investment for me.

    Hello Our Dear Doctor Anne 😘, shame on me, 🙈 only this year I have started wearing proper SPF (mainly tinted mineral) every single day come rain or shine. And since my melasma has improved a lot now I am happy to wear only mineral tinted SPF without foundation so I just reapply a second layer as normal. But I also have the Brush on Block sunscreen (same as the Colorescience one but cheaper 😉☺️) and I have also purchased an empty cushion pack ( same as you when I saw Renee’s / Gothamista suggestion) and I fill it with my own sunscreen to carry around. The couple of layers feel quite sticky and heavy on the skin but as you said , as long as we properly cleanse at night we should be OK.
    Great video as always 😘👏🤗

    Hi doctor! Love you videos! I learnt that sunscreen always have avobenzone and sadly cosmetics (like foundation, concealer, powered foundation) all contain octinoxate, zinc oxide or titanium dioxide which might break down the sunscreen.. Does it mean that is it best to not wear any makeup at all to avoid possible reactions with the sunscreen or just use baby powder to take away the shine ? Thankss a lott

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not all sunscreens have avobenzone, there are more and more options without it. And even with Avobenzone in your SPF, once you let it absorb, there is no problem in applying makeup on top. You will need to reapply anyway after a few hours.

    Hi Doctor Anne, thank you for producing such videos, always good to know the more scientific take on beauty! Should we be as diligent in apply sunscreen on the body? And if there are efficient ways of reapplication for the body as well?

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We should be as diligent on any area of skin that is exposed to the sun - skin cancer is found most often on the legs for women and on the back for men.
      As we don’t usually wear makeup there though, I tend to just slap on another layer.

    My tip would be to apply lots of a super heavy duty, very high protection, water proof sunscreen at the start of the day and you should still have decent protection at the end of the day. That and sun protective clothing. It is difficult to know if you can actually rely on applying over makeup at all. At least, the makeup is probably going to affect the film forming ability of the sunscreen. So, if I was facing the situation, I would go sunscreen, let it dry, makeup with SPF, sun protective clothing when travelling or outside.

    • @DoctorAnne

      A valid, but not exactly cosmetically elegant approach. But the safest way for sure.
