I definitely agree with the hair strands growing at different rates which cause uneven ends but it sounds like you may have a spiritual connection with your hair. Also there are people who caters to the length of their hair and others who chooses health over length.
Thanks babe for sharing , and your right definitely a spiritual connection between all of us and our hair , even if we do not realize it 🫣 why choose when you can have both long healthy uneven hair

Only get the single-strand knots so that you won't have breakage. Other than that, I never really trimmed a section of my hair, and its so long and thick.
@@cocaknotz I didn’t even tell you, remember my Ayurvedic oils I told you I made a while back? I just recently strained two mason jars (they’ve been infusing since June 2023! I have oil for the rest of the year, I have nine mason jars worth of oil, each jar gives me two full dropper bottles of oil!

@@terenarosa4790 ok, well maybe it’s time to take a hard look at what could be causing fairy knots and try things to try to lessen the amount of knots , like switching up your usual styles, or more water , different products, tucking your hair up avoiding fabric friction , just take little steps to improve the problem so you don’t have to resort to cutting as often
You know child you're right on time because I was trying to figure out do I buy the shears or go found a place that do hair just to clip my ends now I am not doing it at all thanks sis so much with so much on time
Yall i have a dilemma someone help please! 😅 according to stylists my split ends are pretty bad, according to myself, i feel like my hair looks good. It’s full, very thick and almost bra strap length since going natural for about 18 months. My stylist recommended trims every 6-8 weeks, but before my natural hair journey i didn’t see any retention when i was consistently getting trims. I definitely see the split ends when my hair is straight but it doesn’t look bad and even stylists always compliment me on how my hair looks healthy and thick when they straighten it. But I’ve been hearing how your hair can fall off if you don’t get consistent trims? I only got one very small trim this year and that was it😅 and i don’t see a problem at all with length retention. Is trimming your hair worth it? I am deciding to at least get trims every 3-4 months a little at a time to get rid of these split ends.
Everyone nowadays try to take food out other people mouth... when your hair need trim you will know... if your hair long and have this thin long inches end it's automatically look unhealthy period. If your hair is breaking badly due to heat and Untreated properly you will definitely need to cut some out and start to re-think on how you would make your hair routine different. If you don't have that figured out than there is no need to cut....
Exactly my hair needs to be trimmed in order to remain healthy and contrary to her saying in this video people who manipulate their hair are the ones who needs constant trimming, is not true for everyone. I’m natural and have been for 8yrs and I absolutely need trims. So everyone is different.
I agree definitely do whatever you need to keep your hair long and healthy, this video is purely to show that uneven hair can be healthy as well and trims can be optional
I strongly disagree with stop getting your trims. Personally, my hair shades like crazy around the time my hair is due for a trim. Deep conditioning, water, or oil doesn't stop the shading until I trim my hair. By the way, I do use natural products, finder detangling, and have natural hair. Some people's hair thrive without a trim, but some thrive with a trim regularly (3-4 months).
Ok I understand, we have to do what’s best for our hair 💕🥰 this video was made to shed light on uneven ends are still healthy too , our hair has a growth pattern and doesn’t follow a straight across line , and frequent 6 week trims are not necessary if there isn’t any split ends or damage or in your case shedding, basically I wanted people to understand uneven ends are not bad and does not always mean damage or split . Thank you for watching 🌸
@@cocaknotz That makes sense. In the video, it sounds like you were saying that trims are not necessary and to stop getting trims. Thanks for explaining!
@@sobruhkey I misspelled the word shedding on my post so you might be confused. Hair shedding is the process of losing hair strands from the scalp. That's the kind of shedding I was referring to & not "shading." Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you for this video. I haven’t been trimming my hair much either being a natural type 4 person. Trimming looks different on natural hair. The ends of our hair look different, whether trimmed or untrimmed. Because psychologically we keep comparing the standard of hair against straight hair textures. That’s why I even want us to talk about what does too much heat mean? Is excessive heat for natural hair blow drying it once a week when you wash it? Or is it excessive if you blow dry it every two weeks? Is it excessive if you blow dry your hair once a week after every wash day but spritz it with water in between throughout the week until the next wash day? I’m throwing out these questions because I did notice that problems with heat styling are curved when you still moisturize your hair, and we all know that we mainly are trying to stretch our hair when we blow dry it but I know my type 4 hair needs to be set with water, especially if I try to twist out a blow dry. It’s even time for us to talk about what’s too much heat for us just like what’s too much trimming. I hope no one thinks my question is dumb, but I do feel like we need to talk about what that looks like in our routine because I know that when it comes to trimming, we’re still thinking according to European standards and I want us to start talking about, heat styling and defining what’s excessive for black hair. Because the thing is is that European straight hair is often maintained by washing it frequently and blow drying and heat styling it frequently which of course isn’t something that black naturals do even if we stay in silk presses. But they even have a threshold of constant heat that their hair can handle … whats our threshold for black hair? We may not be silk pressing it daily but is holding on to a silk press for 3 plus weeks bad cuz we avoiding water and never rehydrating it? What is excessive heat for those who like silk presses or for naturals who like to blow dry? The definition of excessive is looks different on our black hair and we are generalizing but i think there needs to be a deep dive. Cuz i just have a feeling that it needs to be discussed for 4 hair n what it can handle and not just generalizing avoid heat standard. What needs generalizing is a threshold , what is the threshold of frequent heat styling for type 4 hair. Cuz just like trimming its not always about the heat itself with black hair its about how often … i hope i make sense
Gurl my hair is solt but no one never comb my hair without my brush and cup of water it makes my hair so much easier to manage I don't cry much when the brush pop thur curl it stings you go hold the roots and it easy and every one wanna to comb my hair because it was curly but grease brush and a cup of water ❤❤ lvu thus topic
They saying uneven hair is split which is lie. I call it hair theft when they keep saying trim every two months. I wont be running for trims anymore. I got set back 6 months cause of scissor happy stylist.
I wish, I found your channel early. I did the big chop twice since I have been natural. The hair stylist told me at first, that I have to cut off all the old perm/relaxed hair 😡
Hey babe , well now you found me and your still going to get the hair of your dreams , yes relaxed perm hair should be cut off when you are ready because it will become a headache trying to blend two textures, but once you get your hair on a healthy virgin hair path , trims aren’t needed unless you want one , uneven hair is healthy hair too
Routine trims ARE necessary for healthy hair… whether you get it done at a salon or whether you do it yourself. Who wants raggedy looking ends?? Not me. Health over length any day
Remember it’s your hair and you decide what’s best for it , this video is just here to inform you uneven ends are still healthy and trims aren’t needed if you don’t have damaged split ends my dear 💎
I had to do a big chop recently cause I had severe damage from a dye. Then my stylest was like your ends need cutting and I wad looking at her like she crazy cause I didn't understand why. This video hit just right
Exactly, babe you already big chopped , what you need a trim for just because she don’t like how uneven it looks ? That’s not fair to be cutting people hair just for the heck of it , I’m all for the aesthetic look it’s cute and all …. but please leave my ends alone and let me grow my hair to 30 inches then I may consider an even cut . Thanks for watching my dear
Nope I see plenty of naturals that believe this & when they finally get trims the hair looks awful. Not saying it has to be trimmed very often. But I definitely do not believe ppl should not use proper tools & keep up with trims.
But what about single strand knots? Just dust? I just got a trim after a year from shaving my head and starting over while recovering from surgery. I thought once a year is ok for a trim... 😅 My hair is healthy. I'm going to be honest. I just wanted my hair to be even. She trimmed about 1/4 of an inch. Don't come for me sis 😅 Edit: I had my hair trimmed... Never again! You were right sis! It ain't worth it for me.
Oh girl please , I would never come for your hair choices , it’s okay to get trims for aesthetics because hair cuts hit different it looks bomb every time , but this video is to inform those who feel that if they don’t get regular trims their hair is unhealthy, uneven hair is healthy as well . As far as single strand knots , they will always show up so cutting them away you will be cutting forever , instead try a different product on your ends , change up your protective style , just really take a look at your hair regimen and see what changes you can implement to keep them at bay 💕💯
@@cocaknotz Thank you sis! I didn't have many single strand knots because I watch your videos and use your products but I have fine hair and it just happens sometimes. Thanks for watching, you can have healthy strong long hair without a trim , trims are to remove damage or split ends , most of the people who watch my channel we have avoided heat and chemicals so we don’t have damage or excess split ends if any , this video is to spread valuable information that uneven hair is still healthy you don’t need trims , if you don’t have damage , most trims are just for the aesthetics 💕

Ok . You said your hair is damaged and you have split ends , some people don’t have those issues, uneven hair is still healthy hair and if there is no need for such frequent trims at all . Thanks for watching 💕
I agree. All hair splits over time because the ends are the oldest. That's why the ends look so thin. Further, when use thread to sew down cornrows with weave etc. it damages your ends too. Also, in the keratin damaged hair video, the damaged hair first needed to be cut off and instead it was braided down damaged and all.
@@jk9084 thanks for sharing, cool advice , some people would rather grow their hair to a certain length before they do a clean cut . And you can always trim the split ends in that specific area without cutting your entire head , and yes the hair would have benefited from a cut after the keratin treatment but she said she will cut it after it grows another inch or two , because she wants to wear wigs and not have a short Afro that can’t braid down so her hair can lay flat under her wigs , that’s why no cut happened. Love the examples and analogies. Thanks so much for explaining things so well. I'm so glad your video came across my feed. I have watched a few 😊 I've been looking for some great natural hair products. You definitely have a new customer. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Loving this video. True true true. That's it.
Thanks for watching my darling 💕
Keep rapping the knowledge it's practical and sensible and done with such honesty! I love it. Thank you!
@@amb7412 thanks pretty lady 💋💋💋 I will always be hair for you
Wow ❤ great learn something love this
Only get the single-strand knots so that you won't have breakage. Other than that, I never really trimmed a section of my hair, and its so long and thick.
You are right. I will be cutting off my ends bc they remind me of a bad time in life, but they did not cause my hair to split up to my roots.
Exactly! I didn't get shorter hair from them so it is damn lie needing trim bi monthly.
I never trim my daughter's hair and I purchased a revair for her. Her hair is all the way down her back
I’m RIGHT on time!!

In the past, I did become my own scissor happy girl. But I'm trying to recover. I just want my hair to look and be as healthy as possible. So I'm making sure my ends are always moisturized. I absolutely stopped all heat, and I keep my ends tucked away and protected. I do as little hair manipulation as possible. I'm trying to stick to only trimming my ends when I feel its needed. I'm shocked because I only trimmed my ends just once in this past year.
How you recommend dealing with single strand knots
I needed to hear this. I cut my hair every week
Every 6 months or year depends if needed
👍💪🏾
Your welcome babes , if you enjoy the look of an even cut , please keep enjoying your hair as you see fit , this video is just to inform you , that you don’t need a cut for your to grow if you don’t have split ends or severe damage it’s ok to have uneven hair
@@cocaknotz I constantly cut my hair because of fairy knots
@@terenarosa4790 ok, well maybe it’s time to take a hard look at what could be causing fairy knots and try things to try to lessen the amount of knots , like switching up your usual styles, or more water , different products, tucking your hair up avoiding fabric friction , just take little steps to improve the problem so you don’t have to resort to cutting as often
😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh my days. You've got me in bits!
😂😂 thanks boo , for watching
You know child you're right on time because I was trying to figure out do I buy the shears or go found a place that do hair just to clip my ends now I am not doing it at all thanks sis so much with so much on time
Glad I could help 💕💋🥰
Thank you so much!
Your welcome babes
I soooo loved this! ❤
So funny & informative ❤ Finger detangling is key 🎉
Thanks Boo , my pleasure 🥰 the number one ☝️ key
You are funny , thanks for the message I cut mine every time
lol 😂 I understand babe , and cut always hit different because it looks soooo good , but when you don’t want a cut uneven hair is just as healthy 💕💎
@@iasiaboone8544 yes dear everyone hair it's different. Is like saying people need to stay away from salt, when everyone health it's different.
You tell them sister, preach preach😘🦋💐

Great tree 🌳 metaphor
Thanks babe 😃🤗
@@wellness2holisticliving4u 🤗🥰💕 thank you for commenting and spreading some good hair knowledge, we all in this together 🙏 thanks darling
What does 'shading' mean?@IntegrativeHealthWellness

Yikes 😬, sorry to hear that , I wish you double growth 👍
Exactly ‼️

When you start seeing small broken hairs you need a trim
Yes 🙌🏾
Lmbooooooo girl, you are my kind of funny 😂
They saying uneven hair is split which is lie. I call it hair theft when they keep saying trim every two months. I wont be running for trims anymore. I got set back 6 months cause of scissor happy stylist.
I wish, I found your channel early. I did the big chop twice since I have been natural. The hair stylist told me at first, that I have to cut off all the old perm/relaxed hair 😡
Hey babe , well now you found me and your still going to get the hair of your dreams , yes relaxed perm hair should be cut off when you are ready because it will become a headache trying to blend two textures, but once you get your hair on a healthy virgin hair path , trims aren’t needed unless you want one , uneven hair is healthy hair too
Now you tell me, after I just got it cut.😩😂💚💚💚
It’s okay babes , your still beautiful and next time you will know 😊
The only time I cut my hair as been when I had damage other than that I haven’t really cut my hair and 7 years it’s grown very long
Facts sis !!! Uneven hair is still healthy hair !! 💋💋
Routine trims ARE necessary for healthy hair… whether you get it done at a salon or whether you do it yourself. Who wants raggedy looking ends?? Not me. Health over length any day
Yes they are if you have damaged ends , but uneven hair is still healthy long hair .
Ugh I don’t know what to do with my hair lol. One minute it’s don’t cut your ends and the next cut em.
Remember it’s your hair and you decide what’s best for it , this video is just here to inform you uneven ends are still healthy and trims aren’t needed if you don’t have damaged split ends my dear 💎

I agree with the no cutting though but the finger detangling no
I had to do a big chop recently cause I had severe damage from a dye.
Exactly ❤
💋💯💋
Nope I see plenty of naturals that believe this & when they finally get trims the hair looks awful. Not saying it has to be trimmed very often. But I definitely do not believe ppl should not use proper tools & keep up with trims.
Thanks for sharing!! Trim whenever you see fit 😃
I don't trim my hair at all ,i don't have to ,i just take good care of my ends
Facts Queen let em know it’s so simple and I’m sure your hair is healthy and flourishing 🥰
Thank you soooo much 😊
How, dear
Trims is for when we was perming our hair
That part !
Don't come for me sis 😅
Edit: I had my hair trimmed...
This lady is a mess,,.. I know she is trolling with this crazy….😜 the ppl who trim their hair want healthy strong long hair. If you chosen not to trim your hair grows n breaks n splits and is not as strong or healthy. The goal is to promote healthy hair not to say you must trim or else…..

Clearly you haven't studied hair professionally. Long hair doesn't mean health hair and your post is outrageous.
Exactly I’ve been natural for 8 years and I absolutely need trimming at least three times a year. Those long split ends are damaged and need to go. This video is crazy 💆🏾♀️
Actually I did , at aveda institute and are graduated as well 😃 been doing hair for over a decade 🤗 this video was to inform people that uneven hair is still healthy, long hair means long hair 😊 thanks for watching
Thanks for watching darling 💕
