- This is the Citroen Ami, the cheapest new car you can buy here in the UK. It's very small, can seat two people and some luggage, has four wheels and one to steer with and also, technically, is not a car...
It's actually a quadricycle. This actually means that you can drive it from 16 here in the UK and even 14 in other countries. On top of this some parts are very similar to your average car, and others not so much...
It is (en mi opinion) a very interesting car-mobile which made for an interesting video, enjoy!

I will not lie, I have been watching a few reviews of this little vehicle, and yours is one of the best I have seen - it is detailed enough and engaging. I would actually consider having one of these cars (yes, I know, technically it ain't a car...) for nipping about locally. Simple, basic transportation with no frills appeals to me! (That non-cancelling indicator stalk reminds me of the old East German Trabant I once owned - same issue... In fact the entire car has the same vibe, plastic body over a metal frame, whine from the powerplant and ultra-basic interior.)

I forgot to say. According to the Government, Dangerous Road Speeds start at 30mph. That means it Travels at a Safe Road Speed. The Ami is an Urban Vehicle.

It goes without saying, but there should be a mention that dangerous speeds also can depend on things such as road surface and visibility conditions, and therefore, even at 10mph is potentially dangerous.
I am all for people getting these slower moving electric vehicles though, just as long as they don't max the speed out if its slippery conditions or fog or whiteout sideways snow, or think they can simply stare at buildings as they drive past them or are too interested in holding that delicious hamburger in one hand and a coffee or cellphone in the other plus a steering wheel.
@@truetech4158 What you said about Road Conditions is obvious to anyone who can drive. I was stating a Fact that according to the Government Dangerous Roads Start at 30mph. Therfore 28mph is a Safe Road. Driving it in Heary Rain or Snow it is Recommended the top speed is 7mph. It is Perfect as an Enclosed Mobility Vehicle, it meets all the Requirements. Every other thing you said applies to every other Vehicle on the Road. It is also the only Electric Vehicle you can hear is coming so cannot be knocked down because you never heard it coming. Unlike every other Road Vehicle no one has ever been killed in a Car Crash between Mobility Vehicles.

I think it should be limited to 20mph and Londoners made to use them.
Keep it at AM licence and maybe say “15” driving age and above, no motorways or big roads only town and somewhere where you can be seen , where it ain’t dangerous.

The cheapest car I saw, was from Chang Lee at a 1000 dollars. Basically a stamped tool box with doors and windows, and it dents probably at the first sight of hailstones and rust in record time, but there are cheaper cars than the Ami.
I bought a Jinma J2 slow moving electric car off the internet, its a bunch of plastic like the Ami rather than metal unlike the Chang Lee.
Yeah there's plenty of cars cheaper than 8 grand second hand, which I'd personally opt for every ti e.
The doors open in different directions on either side
the front of the car has headlights
the back of the car has brake lights
and I'm reasonably sure that you cannot drive it at 16 in Britain might be wrong

#TheRightToMobility is something that people have. This includes people with disabilities who need to be able to get their groceries but they are humbled with having a very low income level typically too low to keep up with an overpriced world that keeps inflating around them.
Just because wealthy sociopaths don't want people to stand up for human rights, does not mean that people should simply turn a blind eye to the human rights that people have, and transportation is no exception.
These slow moving vehicles are exempt from insurance expenses in most countries that are not completely sociopathic.
The operators of the slow moving vehicles do have to drive them safely though rather than joyriding around causing generalized forms of traffic or pedestrian mayhem.
Next step is to sort out the self driving computer stuff to make sure that isnt as risky as it still is, and eventually even totally blind people will be able to get around with as much independence as they so desire just about.
Encourage safe driving practices, and let the public know that they don't have to walk 10 miles carrying groceries through the rain in rural areas even.
Farming vehicles conform to these driving practices, by pulling over to let faster vehicles pass them and not create traffic jams.
I’m sure in the UK you need a full license to drive the Ami, which you need to be 17 to hold.
You can pass a test at 16 and get an AM licence, the problem is insurance.
@@ziggarillo thanks for that info on the AM license, unfortunately the Ami is over the weight limit for the AM license hence the need for a full license.
