- Namor the Sub-Mariner is the ruler of undersea Atlantis. The offspring of a sea captain and an Atlantean princess, he has been both a hero and a villain to the surface world. Namor is one of Marvel's oldest published characters with his origins in The Golden Age of Comics.

His appearance in the 90s Fantastic Four cartoon and the Avengers series showed that the character was interpreted somewhat as Hispanic/Latino. This is interesting considering the big rumor is that Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta will be playing Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. And word has it that Atlantis will be a Mayan kingdom.

@@DarsiPadilla Since today junior. In the comics he's sometimes depicted with dark olive like skin, which is common with Latinos. Also, in the 90's cartoon he looks like the wrestler Latin Love and like early Antonio Banderas (he's Hispanic but most Latinos carry Spanish ancestry). And in the Avengers series, he's voiced by an indigenous actor. So he can be interpreted as non-white. Do also look up young Ricardo Montalbon and young Anthony Quinn, comic book Namor looks like a cross between the two.

Namor was racially ambiguous, if you wish to code him as anything else please do he’s fictional. I could see someone depicting him as Pacific Islander or Asian but his race was never ever stated.
