I saw all the comments talking about how the euthanasia section of the video made them cry. I’m going in. I really thought I’d make it through not crying and now I’m like a mess 😭🙏 just the idea of the song hits really hard
I actually started tearing up when you were going over Euthanasia. I think it was the mix of you talking about your own experiences with pets dying, my own experiences, and the song playing in the background just got to me. This has and always will be my favorite album Will has made and I love watching videos like these. Thankk you.
@@SmirkMirk I figured Euthanasia would be a bit of a heavy one, and it made me cry a bit while writing and recording. Nevertheless, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! This used to be my least favorite WW album but I fell in love with it over the course of production.
It'd be really cool if you also covered the outtakes of ICIMI like "misanthrapologist" and "...And If I Did, You Deserved it" (The latter being one of my favourites) which were released live on "In Case I Die" because I do think they add a little more depth to the album. Also the album is already one of my favourite albums of recent memory so thank you for covering it! Very good analysis and I also really liked "Hre Normal Album" analysis!
Great video as always! I listen to Selfish and TNA practically every day, yet I revisit ICIMI much less. It's the type of music you feel like you're doing a disservice to if you're not dropping everything to fully soak in the tunes, so I don't really put it on in the background when driving or doing homework. But when I take the time to sit down and listen, damn this is a great listen. Such deep lyricism and heart wrenching symbolism. Becoming The Lastnames is in the running for my favorite WW song of the whole discography, but I'll never narrow that down past a solid top 5. Excited to watch part 2 when it comes around!
Yeah, I get that. There’s music I’ll like and music I’ll think is good, because I’m usually not a fan of slow songs. Can’t really jam to it on the way to work. But each album I’ve reviewed has really grown on me, and I’m a lot fonder of even stuff like Euthanasia and Lastnames by now. Though, probably a result of listening to it a thousand times while writing the script lol
I was watching this with my dog in my lap and uhhh yeah when I saw "Euthanasia" pop up as the next topic I knew it was over for me IUWHOWIE Anyway yippieee thank you for your hard work, Ive been looking forward to hear your thoughts on this album, since I loved your essay on The Normal Album and kept thinking about it occasionally. Good luck with making part 2! (P.S.: I felt it when you talked about how big projects are hell for ur self control, currently trying to write my Bachelor's thesis over here lmaoo)
@@ravsucks you definitely should, and maybe you should look into the Spirit Phone album by lemon demon since it has a similar music genre to will wood :)
