I've been listening to Carlton Kirby for years and have heard him make countless 'plays on words' / puns. Not one has made me laugh and most do not even make sense. Please can Eurosport find a better commentator. It is surely putting people off their coverage and therefore cycling as a whole. It is also a shame to see the highlights narrated in the past tense. It removes any sense of excitement. Why not use the present tense or the commentary from the live feed?
Paris roubaix will be more interesting by far the most unpredictable race on the calendar because no climbs to separate riders and huge puncture and crash potential so even the stronger riders need a day of good luck
Such hushed mention of the fact that Matthews brought his un-sportive self again. Not the first time. This behaviour should be penalized not just by shifting ranks but money penalties, especially in weather like this.
Love the highlights of the race, MVDP what a beast. But I gave the video a dislike because of the poor quality of the commentary. No analysis, very little information, just bizarre twisted metaphors and strange rhetoric questions.
Something is awry. I remember the good ole days when bike racing required tactics right up till the final 5km. We didn't use to have all these extra-terrestrials floating around. You should never be able to ride away from large groups of pros on the flats. This should only happen in a junior race.
With hundred meters left to sprint everyone sprints 100m, but Michael Matthews, he sprints 150m... They need to relegate him until he learns to sprint straight. That dude...😮
such dominance does not make for great watching to be honest. races become a forgone conclusion with the commentators endlessly and expectantly gushing about the top favourites.
@@Minifliek oh definitely, but it still looked like a cakewalk with how far MVDP was ahead of everyone. There was never any worry for him it felt like.
Loving the drone shots
Love to see
Not when they're so close to the riders that they become distracted 😮
Should stay at least 20 meters behind.
Especially in the women’s tour they came waaaay too close. It looked to almost crash into Shirin.
Its not a drone😉
Its a camera on a line drones are not allowed at the moment

Bergs, frites beer, you wouldn't happen to be American? Surprised you didn't also culturally appropriate chocolate as well.😅
Anyone noticed that a 20 year old "kid" entered 5Th? António Morgado is a name to keep on the radar.
20 year old that look like already on his 40's hahaha
Dont forget pithie just 21
I rode down the Kemmelberg on a rainy December day two years ago. It was STRESSFUL.
Love to see drone shots coming to cycling, finally! Awesome!
MVDP gotta have one hell of a contract with Canyon. The amount of times he steers the focus on his bike in recent weeks is crazy 😂 money talks!
I'm sure they're both benefiting very nicely indeed! And perhaps the peace of mind/ lack of worry for MVDP lets him just focus on training.
I think he signed a 10 year deal a few weeks ago.

Verstappen is nice too;)
When the cobbles became wet and muddy it wasn't going to be anyone else on the top step

Thank you for not ruining it in the title like some others did
I bet he had on the best tires of any rider for the day! Being a cyclo cross champion doesn’t hurt
MVDP is king! Watching all but three riders get off and walk up the cobbles was wild! Unfortunate for Bling
Well done MVDP, Massive Congratulations to Nils pollit in 3rd. What a ride, I knew he would do a ride, hats off Nils.
Monstrous win by MVDP🎉🎉

@@z.kramer6027come on lol, that’s just nonsense, he knew exactly where he was going, they always do.
That came surprising to me. I mean, he basically just kept the same line that Jasper Philipsen usually takes ... and Philipsen never gets relegated?

with that much of a lead he should of wheelied over the line, the crowd would of gone wild for that!

nice, love the commentary
It’s about time Mathew’s was relegated. He always starts in the middle and finishes at the barriers, was getting sick of seeing his dirty sprinting.
Pure tiredness was the reason for his wayward sprint. Nothing dirty about it.
I had a lot of respect for the group following MVP. I can understand exhaustion literally blinding the riders from their path forward
