In today's video, I'm sharing my personal journey to healing Hashimoto's Thyroiditis using the Keto Carnivore Diet as an elimination diet. As a registered nurse and low carb health coach, I know how frustrating it can be to find effective ways to manage autoimmune conditions. I hope this video provides some hope for those of you looking for a better way to heal.

I had Hashimotos. A large goitre from about 19. I'm 61 now. The goitre was very visible. It had pushed my trachea to one side, breathing unaffected. TSH, T3 and T4 in NHS normal range. Biopsy on goitre about 5 years ago - benign. Decided not to have surgery.
Been on keto for over 5 years. No visible goitre anymore. No antibodies attacking my thyroid anymore.
That's impressive!
@nickypotts, thank you for sharing your experience❤
Did you made keto diet with intermittent fasting?thank you for answer...
dairy? Eggs? Im VERY senistve for sure
Wow, I have a similar experience except my goiter appeared at 57. Trachea pushed to one side, endocrinologist wanted to remove thyroid and said I had Hashimoto's. I started doing my own research and finally landed on keto/carnivore a few months ago. I'm 64 now. The goiter wasn't getting better until just recently started supplementing with boron. I've been taking boron for about 3 weeks and goiter has shrunk to half size and I'm hoping it keeps shrinking. Boron is something your parathyroid needs and has been stripped from the soil through farming processes.
Yes, but you still have hypothyroidism, don't you?
I'm glad you're healthier and your goiter is gone, but in our 60's, our thyroids won't completely resolve.
I have been diagnosed with MS in 1998 and have been relapsing and remitting for all these years until I decided to cut out gluten. Because my husband is diabetic we went on carnivore since Aug. 2023 and never looked back. I haven't had a relapse since 2016 and his a1c has improved from 6.5 to 5.7!👌
I am "blessed" with two Autoimmunes - Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia. I tried Keto, HF/LC and finally Carnivore. With Carnivore nearly all my symtoms got a lot better, I felt good and lost about 50 pounds. The only problem with staying on the diet: I simply cannot afford it. Organic meat and vegetables / fruits are far beyond my financial means - even "normal" meat is something I cannot afford on a daily basis. And a lot of healthy alternatives to gluten / grains are quite expensive in Germany.
Knowing I could live almost pain free, without brain fog and bouts of depression but not being able to afford it really sucks.
Sorry to hear that :( I know how it feels to not have the finances to be able to afford the help we so dearly need. I had to move home to my parents for just that same reason...
Have you looked into GAPS? That might be more accessible and actually helps heal the gut. No-plants GAPS is a meat only version. It's a lot of meat broths (not bone broth), milk kefir, etc.
There are neither fruit nor vegetables in Carnivore. Ordinary meat, unprocessed, is fine.
Lots of ground beef
@@JamieR Never heard of it. So thank you for bringing it to my attention. I will look into it.👍
@@spinwitch have you tried ground beef and chuck steaks? those are cheapest versions of beef side.
Started eating more veges, less rice, potatoes, chocolate and dairy. Lost 15 pounds so far. I just had a vanilla and chocolate ice cream bar before seeing this video. After suffering for over 30 years with Hashimoto thyroiditis, I can relate to your struggle, but everyday is a blessing especially if I have energy and no pain. GOD BLESS US ALL WITH GREAT HEALTH!
Brain fog & lethargy/fatigue are my biggest problem. It's a little better after getting ferritin supp. & now I'm trying to bump up iodine with Lugols drops. I did carnivore for 6mo & it didn't clear up my gut issues & started adding some prebiotics & small amounts of org. apple, baby carrots & asparagus. I just wish I knew what would the source is.
Carnivore is very good
415 days ago, I started carnivore! I'm down 83 pounds and over 120 inches and off of 6 of my medications!
I thought it would take a few years to heal my hashimotos, but they have had to lower my meds twice, and that wasn't working so I went off my meds and had my labs done today. I'm excited to see where my thyroid is. I'm believing its completely healed I don't think I'm there quite yet but I definitely know I need a way lower dosage. I prayed for so many years to get rid of the inflammation in my body because it was so bad and to lose weight but nothing has worked for 8 years!! The inflammation is not completely gone, but it's down about 75%!! I am beyond grateful to have found out about carnivore it has literally saved my life!! Now I can't wait till my heart is completely healed!!
This is amazing !!!! Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Your heart will heal. It's made out of collagen just like all your other organs and definitely it will be deconstructed, repaired and re constructed and those cells will all turn over and shed and all those new cells know their job to do and it is so miraculous 🎉🎉
Tamara, are you doing dairy and eggs and seafood chicken and pork or just beef?
I'm doing some dairy, eggs, mostly beef, and a little chicken.
@@tamarabaker254 thank you! I had heard that one has to get off of dairy to heal autoimmune diseases but that's obviously not necessarily true. I'm hoping to do the same. Thank you for sharing your success.
Thank you Neisha. I also have Hashimotos. Keto/carnivore is the only thing so far in life that has made me feel the best.
And iodine! Check the Interview Dr. Berry & Dr. Brownstein
@@HerbertSimonDachs YES! I stopped taking iodine (not sure why I forgot about it) & am starting it up again the past 2 days. Also taking ferritin pills instead of just iron - something is making me totally lethargic where I can barely function or get motivated to do anything all day..brain fog.. this is so horrible
@@cinystarr4657 never heard of ferritin pills. Die you check your coeruloplasmin Levels? Copper plays an important role in iron metabolism. I get my iron from red meat. Iron tabletts can have some detrimental effects...
Kinda groaned at sitting through 20 minutes of someone's healing journey. However, a recommendation from Dr Berry goes a long way. Well, boy howdy, am I glad I listened to the whole thing. Neisha, You and Ken have helped me so much in my healing journey. I never got a diagnosis. They tested me for everything, but they said, "you obviously have some kind of autoimmune disorder but you're not testing for any of them on the books." So, in 2020 after another $1,000 at the dr trying to figure out what this is, just to be met with the same poking prodding and no answers. I was tired, hurting for no good reason, and I didn't want to even start the pharmaceutical regimen I had seen them put all the other women in my family on. I started dabbling in Keto in Feb. of 2020, the more I cut the more I had to cutout. I loved carbs my whole life, pasta please, rice let's rock it, but now, I can't even stomach it. I dabbled with rice last week and i am thinking it was fried in bad oil. This is why we can't really eat out on this diet; you can request they don't cook in it but that doesn't always mean they will listen. I have been on an animal-based diet on an off now since September of 2023. I sleep better, I have energy, I don't need my afternoon nap. I'm only 38 by the way, not 83. Though I felt as if I was for years.
The best thing I ever did was go on a Danielle Diet. I figured out what was hurting me. I'm still learning too. Thank you for unknowingly walking thru this with me. You and Ken are a blessing. I pray Jesus bless you both always and in ALL ways!!
God bless you
@@parody_bear_mike isn't it the Daniel diet?
Gosh, i LOVE LOVE LOVE Neisha and Dr Berrys plethora of knowledge they have fed me. So grateful 🙏 ❤️
I appreciate you !
I just found Dr. Berry's channel two weeks ago. I you popped upon my feed last week. You are just adorable. I am so thankful that I found your channel. I am learning so much. Thank you for being so real .
Thank you so much this was a helpful boost of inspiration for me after watching a previous post about Lipedema sent to me by a friend I went back to a modified keto for myself that has helped so much and not feeling the pressure from those around me telling I shouldn't do keto because it didn't work for them even though I knew it had worked for me. I knew this time I needed to stay the course and change what I was eating I have felt so much better and along with getting the compression socks and leggings for me has also been such a great relief. I had almost lost the ability to walk, and now, after 1.5 months, I have lost 5 inches in my legs of inflammation. I can move my legs better and not like I'm dragging lead weights. My knees are not locking as often, and I am able to do chair yoga and have been working hard on these small victories each day! So, thank you for being a bright, shiny light for people who have a long journey ahead but can see a future ahead. Lots of love ❤
Wait... I'm sorry. But can I ask, is that what you have? Lipedema?
Is that what causes the 'locking up' like you described in your knees...
Or is that with any autoimmune disorder? I'm one of those who still can not get a proper diagnosis. But that's one of the symptoms I have really severely. The locking in my knees and elbows. And even in my hips, unfortunately.
It's honestly infuriating! 🤬 Lol
Thank you
Keep going! You're doing great ❤
Pure wisdom, precious lady. Thank you for vulnerably sharing your life experiences, it’s valuable to so many of us.
I’m a 69 year old who feels better than I did in my 40’s, running circles around many that are half my age, thanks to lifestyle changes that you and doc Berry have taught me.
I thank God for you two.🤗💞🤗
When I was diagnosed with hasimotos I found your videos online and I want to thank you! There’s so much misinformation out there! But when I tried keto/carnivore it’s the only thing that helped me out! I agree that it’s an elimination diet! Cutting out all the processed food and high carbs for low carb and high fat I’ve never felt better!
Thank you for posting your story. It gives me so much hope and I am able to show my husband that I'm not the only one with panic attacks and weight gain and there is a reason for it and it's not because I'm lazy.
I used to have panic attacks a lot. It quit but driving sometimes makes me anxious.
Well said! Find your place on a Proper Human Diet!
😂
You got a great lady there doc... 👍👍👍... You are one very lucky man.
Watching the video because my wife was also diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Hopefully I'll learn something that may help her. (fingers crossed) 🤞🤞🤞
YOU SAVE LIVES DR BERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad her books are tidy 😂😂😂
How do I get help from you?! I just got put on high blood pressure meds as a 27 year old and I have IBS I NEED help they are talking about putting me on a SSRI next week.
Had extreme Hashimoto along with near fatal liver and kidneys failure....Plant based whole foods nutrition and lots of juicing saved me completely ! Selenium was very important. Sea algae was my daily snacks....fully support thyroid. Hashimoto is because of TOXICITY most of the time, or because of certain allergens, even pesticides can cause such disorfer, unrecognized molecules/matter in the body that respond in a defensive way, what we call auto-immune reaction. Cancer is also an auto-immune disorder, so is diabetes. By leaving the body time to detox, that helps the most. We are NOT told the truth about health and nutrition.
I am nit sure one formula fits all. I have been plant based for 20 years and eat rather clean. It has not totally eliminated the issue. However I will never touch meat no matter what. I think that what is very important over all is to eliminate sugar. The diet that helped me the most is one where I did not even have natural sugar coming from fruits. I no longer have such will power. But that diet was really life changing.
Have you tried carnivore or keto? Because others say, that this diets healed
@@05SacredvalleyI have been through a very similar experience! Currently my biggest challenge is cutting down on carbs (rice cakes, rice, etc.).
Nevertheless I believe that we are still improving as long as we keep eating healthy produce & avoid the harmful foods (usually gluten, dairy & excess sugars). ❤
Cancer, like diabetes, are known to be metabolic disorders. Those in the know refer to cancer as Type 4 Diabetes, Altzheimer's as Type 3 Diabetes. Insulin resistance is the root cause of all modern diseases, including auto-immune conditions. Plant based is not nutritionally sound and certainly does not support the knowledge of anthropological study.
What type of sea algae, please?
I watch all your videos because even tho I am vegetarian, you help me to stay off any grains at all or garbage food. I basically eat eggs, cheese, above ground veggies, nuts, seeds, avocado, small amounts of berries and tofu from time to time... I have a variety of health issues and this is helping me to eat only natural foods. Both you and your husband are a tremendous help to so many!!!!!
I love that !!! Thank you for being here. I’m so glad I’m able to speak to people who don’t eat my specific way. I just want us all to find a way to feel amazing. ❤❤❤ thanks for commenting I really appreciate it!
Andrea, if you are a vegetarian for ethical reasons you might want to look into it further. I was a vegetarian for many years because I love animals so much. Due to my health I eventually went back to eating meat but I felt guilty about it. The recent thought of going carnivore stirred up these feelings again. My husband and I have been eating some meat but we've used a lot of dairy and eggs for our protein.
A few days ago we were watching a homestead carnivore channel and he has a couple of videos about how bad vegetables are and how so many animals are killed plowing fields and how toxic chemicals are used. Dr Berry is in one of those videos.
The video mentioned how grass fed cows are good and they fertilize the soil.
So now I don't feel guilty about eating meat because so many animals and insects die from fields being plowed.
So grateful for you and your husband and all the info you've shared, great video!!!
thank you so much 🥰
Thank you for you videos, i also have hashimotos, i've had it since childhood, i found the carnivore diet 6 months ago after enduring it for 15 years and my life has changed in so many incredible different ways, saved my life, no question about it.
Your videos are authentic and reassuring especially for someone doing these diets, your transparency and willingness to share and be vulnerable is truly a gift to the world.
My experience sounds exactly like yours, tried every diet on the planet, never really worked all that great for me, even keto, but with the lion diet pretty much every symptom goes away completely. It's absurd.
And you're right, experimenting yourself is the only way, carnivore is a lifestyle for some but can just be a good place to start for others.
Thanks again
This was so thorough and well said. I totally agree with you! I have always loved your approach and stance on this woe because it's not a one size fits all, it is a way to find our personalized plan specific to our needs. 💕
thank you so much 🥰
Fatty meat is crucial for our health. I have schizophrenia (which should really be called dependency pellagra). I have been mostly carnivore for 5 years and last year I started to take high dose niacin B3. It’s a nutrient issue NOT a mysterious medication deficiency. Mine is a dependency on B3 now because if a deficiency goes on for long enough it becomes a dependency. There’s no such thing as bad genes, its starved genes that cause a problem.
Did the schizophrenia go away on carnivore. Have you ever tried B12 injections.
I have done carnivore, but really missed my salads and veggies. Oh, by the way, my thyroid was 65 mg, and now it's 30 mg so something is working. I've seen some people who get so thin they look sick, not healthy, a skeleton body frame. I am trying to go through my frig and get rid of any soy oils because it's in dressing. I had issues being so dizzy I fell over twice although I was doing electrolytes maybe it wasn't enough I tried to call your husband for some advice but never got a reply.
@@laurengalan2760 I'm not sure if you know this or not but I the 1960s schizophrenia was known as bread madness. When they took wheat away from schizophrenia patients the symptoms were relieved. When you say mostly carnivore do you still have any gluten?
Wow, that was well said, starved genes not bad genes makes so much sense👏
it's hard to find real meat (grass not grain corn soy factory fed) in many countries even highly developed ones... and unreal meat won't lower inflammation as well as real naturally raised
You hit the nail on its head with your elimination type of diet. Eliminating certain foods from your diet for certain periods is crucial and tailoring your diet around the foods that work for you as an individual is key. This is the best diet information out on the internet.
This is incredibly helpful. I have every single one of the symptoms you had.
I went ahead and had my breast implants removed. That was definitely a huge part of the puzzle for me. I was on a death bed, I could barely function. It’s been 5 years, a ton of healing has occurred! But just now finding the carnivore type of eating and working my way into it, figuring out what works also! I feel 100x better than I did 5 years ago but I am still struggling with weight. On a positive note, my dilated cardiomyopathy is gone, I got a clean bill of health after 6 years of being diagnosed and annual bad news. Thyroid is much improved as well, hoping the carnivore life will complete that!
I removed my implants too!!
why do you need to remove them?
Yes, why? I'm curious too , if you don't mind me asking? 🤔
@@mamatried925 breast implant illness damn near killed me !! I removed mine and improved my health !! It was awful I almost died
@@Ladynipchick2breast implant illness is a horrible experience , breast implants are very toxic. I was bed ridden for 8 months , got mine out and my health improved tremendously

I started keto 2 years ago. Lost 70 lbs reversed my type 2 diabetes, swapped to Nature for my thyroid from synthesis. Now I'm Keto vore as well. Mostly carnivore , and love to use garlic, onion, avocado a few berries. Mostly meat & eggs, some dairy.
Thank You 🎉 I feel so much better.
And coffee. Added Lugol's Iodine.
Thanks so much NEISHA, I really needed this. I’m slow to learn. I just started the elimination diet again, I had to. Every time I get tempted to eat something bad , I remind myself of how bad I have been feeling for way too long!!!

❤ Thank you! I am doing Lion Diet for two months. I have improvement in my autoimmune conditions. ❤
I started keto in 2014 to help my hormones after I had my kids. Ended up being best thing I did to help alleviate now what I know was eds symptoms. I’ve done various forms of carnivore & keto. I do best with carnivore. The more I add in veggies the more joint pain & other symptoms I get.
I have had Hashimoto Disease for 25 years. Unfortunately, I didn’t know it was actually Hashimoto until this year where I finally went to an endocrinologist and sure enough she confirmed my diagnosis.. Up until this year I have been on Synthroid & Levothroxine but still experiencing major symptoms. I have lived with symptoms of this disease for the entire 25 years. I finally started feeling better when I went on a Keto Diet. I couldn’t believe how much better I was feeling. The side benefit was that I lost 25 pounds. My arthritic joint pain went away, my bloating and gas issues diminished, my brain fog subsided. I still feel cold especially in the winter months. My endocrinologist indicated that I should remove gluten as well since it’s highly inflammatory. Now I’m on a quest to find the right nutrients to replenish what my body is lacking. I think in order to do this I have to see a functional medicine doctor. What are your recommendations?
There's no gluten in a keto diet anyway..so U weren't keto
Daily morning sunlight on your retina and skin is critical. Doesn't have to be a lot, even 20 minutes is better than nothing, but it's super important every day. Himan hormones are shot because of our broken connection to nature, in particular circadian rhythms.
Yes, give the credit 👏 to You
for noncompliance, following your gut feeling , perseverance and putting all the work needed !!
NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELFS.
TRUST IN GOD ❤ !!!
I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 2 years ago. Been on meds since then. Trying to avoid gluten, sugar and dairy but I’m not very strict. I started taking mushroom coffee 4 months ago and it seems to help. My antibodies went down dramatically from 756 to 85 in less than 3 months. I’ll try doing keto, I hope it’ll help with weight gain. Thank u so much for sharing your experience.
We listen to complications or lies our entire life. When we eliminate the complications in the foods we eat that are not healthy i.e., the mixtures of chemicals in all packaged foods, and commercially processed vegetables, we simplify our lives. By removing all of the complications, we are left with a simplistic approach to life and our health. A Proper Human Diet (PHD) of Beef, Butter, Bacon, and Eggs (BBBE) eliminates stuff that clogs up our health. Notice I didn't call it food. Removing a lie reduces inflammation, and stress, which allows our organic bodies to heal.
I am new to a carnivore lifestyle and can already tell a difference in my health. I greatly appreciate your videos and honesty.
Wait till you find out the earth is flat good luck.
Have listened to Ken for years. Low carb has dramatically improved my life. Continued listening to his change to carnivore. Also watched you eating carnivore with a little marinara sauce. I have one rule: next to no processed food. My body works perfectly at 77. Thanks to you both.
So glad I found you! I’m over 21/2 years carnivore & still tweaking what works best for my body, eliminating periodically every year to see where I’m at. It’s a process. Thanks for shedding light on it; it can be frustrating when we aren’t prepared for symptoms returning or gaining a few pounds, etc. I couldn’t agree more to what you say! ❤
Neisha is a ray of light and a voice of reason. She always has been since I discovered her and Dr. Berry years ago on TH-cam ❤❤❤
Probably tired of hearing it, but thank you so very much. Needed this reminder on my healing journey and taking heed. My life depends on it.

Sunlight is critical for Hashimoto's. Every morning. Ditch the sunglasses and sunscreen, and set your circadian clocks so you csn produce the hormones you need, when you need them.
🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞 🌞
Yes absolutely we get sunshine everyday ! I haven’t worn sunscreen in years- soak up that sun ☀️
Thanks Neisha. I've looked at carnivore, "ketovore," in the past but got dismayed because I'm extremely intolerant to dairy and pork, really exacerbates asthma for me. I learned that if people have allergies to cat dander they can also be allergic to pigs. I do have mild cat allergies. But health demands I have to get real now. Blessings to you and Dr. Berry.
This was so clear and concise - I think for me, even as a long time subscriber, this was the most important video you’ve done! Thank you so much. You never know what’s going to resonate with someone!
I did this diet for a year. It did not change all my symptoms with Hashi’s. I now take thyroid meds & didn’t before. I respect you helping people but I would love to add I personally believe it’s sugar that is the issue. Cutting out sugar helps heal the body. For me-eating whole foods which includes heavy meat plus sun, limiting stress, getting good sleep, etc…. For me it is all of the above. God bless you for wanting to help people heal. N=1
To God be the Glory!! And well done on your obedience. I want to have that kind of obedience!
Just do it one day at a time.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Wow this was amazing and motivating! I have hashimotos and weaned myself off levothyroxine as I was on the smallest dose anyway. I wanted to heal myself naturally and was willing to put in the work. After watching a podcast from Dr Anschul Gupta (previously head of functional medicine at the Cleveland Clinic) he had it as well and said if you can heal your gut microbiome, there’s a great chance you can heal Hashimotos. You’re so right, gut health is EVERYTHING and the root of most autoimmune diseases! Can’t wait to learn more from you!
slippery elm bark can help re-line the gut. Also aloe vera juice. and probiotics! prebiotics!
Both are sky high in oxalates.
Be careful and stay on top of that raw kefir
hummm i saw that aloe vera is not allowed on level one gaps diet which i've been looking at. wonder why.
I am in the PHD community and in your group. Hoping to have the same results have a lot of healing to do thanks for sharing your journey.

Love this video and especially the “give it time and don’t force it” concept. When people point out my extra weight I still have to lose as a way to say I’m not a real carnivore I remember everything you and Dr. Berry have taught me about our body healing and losing weight and doing all these things slowly and as it’s ready. I trust the process and take vitamin P and ignore the naysayers. Thank you Neisha for all you do and for sharing your story. ❤️
breast implants gave me 3 autoimmune diseases they ruined my health !! I was in my deathbed bf removing them ! Glad your health has improved too!! I am now carnivore as well and doing so much better. I have no trust or faith in our medical system they have failed me too many times.
Breast implants did the same to me too!
Me too. Got them out and remained pretty sick but could have died if I kept them in. Look up breast implant illness- nearly too out my colon. BM’s are gratefully normal going on 2 years now.
Me too! Severe autoimmune response that almost killed me. I’m much better after taking them out and after years of physical therapy but will live with my fragile system the rest of my life. It’s good to hear carnivore may help with some of my chronic symptoms.
Me too 😢
I was on carnivore for 3 months, lost 14 lbs, fell of the wagon, got my antibodies checked with my normal thyroid panels (6 mo check) and my NP meds 120mcg are keeping my levels good, I've had hoshimotos for 4 years now, my antibodies were 1650, I now get a bug bite or a touch of poison ivy and my whole body breaks out in hives, full body inflammation. Gained 40 lbs in 3 years....I think I am now miserable enough to back on the wagon because something has to give!!! I am sick of this!
What are NP meds, please? I'm trying to learn all this.
I went Gluten free for 12 months. It had no affect on my Hashimoto's. But, when I went dairy-free for the next 12 months, my TPO antibodies (marker for Hashimoto's), went down a lot. Plus, I found taking vitamin D3 at 20,000 IUs per day also helped lower my TPO antibodies.
Dis you cut all dairy or just milk
This was excellent, Neisha! Ken was my doctor 2018/2019 and switched me from Levo to NP Thyroid and told me to do veggie heavy keto due to some other issues I was having. After a few years of being on and off the wagon, I'm now seeing a naturopath here in Dallas and gluten free, dairy free, sugar free but I'm getting back on butter because I have never had an issue with it and don't think that's going to make or break anything considering all of the other crap I have given up, LOL! Your video gives me more hope and I know it's helping many people!!! Love y'all and keeping you in my prayers! Hugs!
thank you for sharing this! I love hearing from our patients that came to the clinic - so happy that you are doing well
I am also in Dallas, and would love to know your naturopath’s name? Thank you!

I've had Transverse Mylitis and could not walk , lost my hearing and was basically could not move All due to Inflammation. Months of rehab trying to get backhand recover. After many rounds of steroids and trying not to have permanent damage and with God's help, strength and determination I've made it. I too have tried to eliminate and find the triggers. I do no Breads, no lactose, no sugars and I adhere to a segment of foods I tolerate with little reaction. It's hard, it's exhausting and I still suffer from depression of not feeling normal. But I too want to keep learning and trying to live my best life. Maybe on one of ur programs talk about living in a world, so fast paced we just feel we can't keep up when you have an illness or condition that slows you down. I Love You both and soooooo appreciate your Intelligence for survival ❤❤👍👍🤗🤗
Have you considered taking Magnesium and Vitamin D3/K2 for depression? Also 15 minutes of daily sunlight is good for the body. Additionally, a therapy light can also help. This helped my son who had depression.
I wish doctors would listen to you when you tell them about your body. Several years ago I told my doctor that I know I have a thyroid problem. They always say well you're just getting older that's why you're gaining weight and feeling the way you do. That was so insulting to me. I did have a thyroid problem. Went to a thyroid specialist and I told her I was working on my health with an elimination diet. She told me diet has nothing to do with my thyroid. I give up going to see doctors.
All this time I've been working on my health by eliminating everything in my diet. Eating onIy meat, eggs, butter and bacon.I have been testing things out. I come back to complete carnivore I feel so much better. I'm still working on my gut issues. I get constipated easily. Haven't figured that out yet. But I'm working on it. I'm 62 years old. I'm doing things slowly but surely. Thank you for your sound advice. I love the carnivore community. You and Dr Berry have really helped me out through my challenges.
More fluids and perhaps more fat should help try adding fats small and increase butter as a solid extra to fat when cooking meat perhaps stop cheese for a week and good luck always trials to persue to get it right.😊
I struggled with constipation since my childhood. Drinking raw goats and cow milk regularly solved that issue for me😊
I am having sanmme issues so adding more fats to my diet can help? My doctor is not listening to me.@@elsiecater156
Try bile salts and digestive enzymes for gut issues
Butter coffee with MCT oil helps with constipation on carnivore
This happened to me when I was around 29/30. I’m 37 and still being told it’s just anxiety. All the same symptoms you shared occurred with me but following a surgery I had with a badly infected appendix. Following this surgery is when the onset of symptoms came on and I couldn’t explain where it came from.
I had a very bad infected appendix as well. This just happen to me last year when I was 31. You just confirmed what this was from thank you!
I also experienced a horrible bout of anxiety, insomnia and digestive issues sudden onset following a surgery. I felt strongly it was somehow related to the surgery but multiple doctors I saw blew the idea off. I tried everything. Ended up going to a naturopathic doctor and tried everything she suggested and nothing really worked. I would get some temporary relief from some of the things I tried but the anxiety was always there. This went on about 1.5 years until I ended up trying a parasite cleanse. I thought to do it on my own thinking it might help my digestive issues. I had a terrible detox reaction on the cleanse the first 4 days, felt like I had the flu, but by day 5 suddenly I could sleep all through the night. I continued on the parasite cleanse the full 20 days, then 10 days off, the another 20 days on. Completed cured my anxiety and even my monthly PMS symptoms which were awful. I still think somehow it was all related to that surgery. I don’t know if putting my body in that vulnerable state allowed some nasty parasite to ramp up or if I was exposed to something in the hospital or what.
Great knowledge Neisha! This can help so many.
I have Hashimotos. Carnovore/Ketovore has helped me so much! I have better mood and energy eating this way. I will never go back to my old way of eating!
Wahooooo!!!! These are the benefits I want everyone to have ♥️
@NeishaSalasBerry eating carnivore/ketovore made a more noticeable difference in my life than the thyroid medication did! While Im still am on the medication, the meds never made me feel back to normal even though my #'s looked good. 15 years of feeling awful, with just the meds, b4 I found carnovore/ketovore!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and success! Different situation, but after receiving ineffective medical advice, we found the solution to my son’s problem through an elimination diet. If it wasn’t for the internet and stories like yours, it would have been a much longer painful journey.

Are they doing any challenges? I feel of the wagon about a year and a half ago and I just had a wakeup call. Today I'm back to keto and I plan on working down to carnivore.
Great advice! I need to do SOMETHING, having hashimotos since 2003. My endo told me my thyroid was functioning at 10%, which no one ever told me. I feel like the carnivore diet would help, wish me luck! Thank you for your very informative video!
Yay! I don't have hashimotos but I am excited for a new video and I'm gonna watch because I love you, mean it!! Also, I know I'm going to get some golden nuggets of knowledge!
awe you're the best! I hope you liked it!
I'm 28 and I found out a month ago that I have Hashimoto's, and I'm discovering a whole new world. Thank you for the content!
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid. After listening to you I wonder if I was misdiagnosed. I feel like you were speaking my life. You never said whether you stayed on meds or went off. I went off to do this carnivore to heal myself. Im second guessing now because I think the no meds is whats keeping me from loosing weight. Ive been carnivore 8 weeks now and only down 3 lbs. I have been able to wean off my BP meds though and thats good. Now to get the thyroid under control. I have iodine on its way to me so im excited to start that. I now need to get selenium. This will be miraculous is i could get the old me back.
Been strict Carnivore now for 10 months, no eggs and very little dairy, it worked well to heal my gut issues and reduce my inflammation thus my headaches, joint muscle stiffness and pain, bloating, brain fog, fevers, plus I had no saliva and horrible Chelitis around my mouth (which is still a battle). However I was unlucky in the department of weight gain 10-12 lbs 😢 I don’t know why. I wish I had the opposite effect and maintained my weight of 120 lbs. I am hoping that someone can tell me why? Or at least point me in a direction to help me loose the weight 😢😢 thank you Neisha! Loved hearing your story. ❤
Thank you Neisha. 💝
Years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimotos, I had thyroidectomy due to nodules on my thyroid. The surgeon said we have to ‘cut it out’ So I still have to take thyroid pills everyday. It’s the only prescribed pill I’m taking. Because I refused to continue taking Statins & MetFormin after losing 50 lbs on a low carb diet. Thanks to your husband, by following his Vids! Love You and your wonderful family. Such great children you have!
The farmer saw the cow just chilling out in what looked like a dress, he asked the other farmers, they said no that's a MOO MOO
LOL as always Cary, thank you for bringing the jokes to the comment section :)
LOL
@@NeishaSalasBerry You're welcome and glad you laughed

Hashi here too! TPO was 381 and is now 17! This is my 2nd year on a keto lifestyle. I follow macros from Maria Emmerich. I’m still on Tirosint (150mcg) and Liothyronine (5mcg). I don’t think, for me, that I’ll be able to get off these two meds. That’s ok.
I have a TPO still over 1300 after 6mos carnivore. I really hope I can get it down.
Mine is only 9 after pregnancy and I feel like crap but my tsh is high
@alexandramantikas3076 That's interesting too. I am hoping mine gradually goes down, otherwise I feel it'd just a matter of time until I progress into hypothyroidism. So far I still make adequate T3 and T4. I also use Lughols iodine to support.
Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! I am new to all this, and appreciate your experience.❤
Your story is so inspiring. I hope this helps a lot of people. I have been carnivore for 7 years and have just moved more into higher fat and less raw milk (my only carb source). It is extra challenging for me since I have a histamine thing and mast cell issues and I am all over the place. The only consistent thing for me that has never bothered me in any way shape or form is raw milk; but I had come to rely on it too much and am trying to cut back and add more meat and fat in. I am 3 solid weeks into more keto/less milk. It is surely taking my body time to adjust to more meat and fat. Even tho I was. high fat carnivore I had a hard time eating the amount of food I needed so the raw milk was my saving grace. So trying to eat as much as I need is def challenging big time. For me to eat what I need literally makes me feel like I wanna puke. I have a long history of severe damage to my esophagus so I am hoping keto takes me all the way into deeper healing. (My health story is actually nuts and hard to believe I made it this far) I felt like I was at a standstill with where I was so trying the keto-carnivore experiment for 3 months (not tracking just keeping my carbs from milk really low and really ramping up my fat & meat). What a journey! Def gonna share your story. I hope this reaches a lot of people.
I’ve went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what diet to use. What I read was that most people (not all) with hashimotos have gluten intolerance and gluten triggers an inflammation response. Fresh/frozen veggies and fruit are excellent sources of carbs. It is an individual journey to find what is causing inflammation in your body.
Having tried getting my doctor to do the RIGHT testing to find my ISSUES
Hello and thanks for sharing your important story. I am 63yrs and have had 'symptoms' like yours and many 'diagnosis' along the way for 30 yrs! I have finally found a Dr, who has found the problem. I have CIRS. This is a very hidden disease, 1 in 4 people carry a gene that does not allow the body to process out biotoxins. Those on a healing journey may want to research this out as well. Diet is a huge key to healing. I wish you all success and healing.
Many doctors don't recommend elimination diets but I found for Hashimoto's, chronic urticaria, and gut issues, it worked very well. I figured out what makes me feel good and what doesn't. It was about a two-year journey of overall healing, but I now feel fantastic. If I travel or eat things that don't agree with me, I hop back on my whole foods diet and get back to feeling good. Autoimmune presents differently in different people and you have to figure out what works for you.
THANK YOU, THIS IS SO HELPFUL🤩
Question Neisha : What was/ is it about the eggs 🥚 which is considered problematic 🤔?
Thanks for such an informative video and being so encouraging. I will be trying many things you suggested. I’ve watched you over the years (since 2018). And it’s just so cool to see how you have developed and honed your way of helping so many people. It’s a beautiful thing and so are you! 💕
Brilliant Neisha! i completely agree with you, it is the body who decides the food that can be tolerated , and starting with carnivore its a good idea
Great inspirational chat. I agree, we need to find what works for us to stay healthy and happy. 👏🇦🇺
I have 4 autoimmune diseases, and I get conflicting information everywhere. I was told saturated fat inflame my joints. Then I was told nightshades inflame joints. I will try carnivore.
Niesha I just love you! Not only for telling your truth but for being so sweet. I have a question for you, i have hasimotos and I have been keto for two month / started as carnivore and added veg back in. Anyways, I am feeling a million times better except for the exhaustion I feel. Is there anything you can think of that could help? I value your opinion because all of your symptoms were exactly the same and I feel like you know your stuff. Thanks a bunch for all you do to help those of us who are struggling! Bunches of love and best wishes to you and your family!❤
Look into iodine and Dr Brownstein. I have the same issue, Hashimoto's and severe fatigue. Just came across Dr. Brownstein and Iodine, thinking this is the problem.
I am so frustrated with that advice for Hashimoto's...I have been high fat for the last eight years and it's been the best decision I have ever made for myself.
Love you.
Very informative and I wish I could give a testimony about how you have helped with my Hashimoto’s.
Thank you.🙏🏿
Great video! I went Keto after Xmas 2023 & lost 40lbs. It wasn't easy but Dr.Boz's channel was a great coach & source for me. You look amazing and I know your husband thinks so as well! I will be watching more of your videos. Thanks!
Thank you so much Neisha for sharing. It’s so helpful. I appreciate you and Dr. Berry. Blessings 🙏💜
Thank you Neisha 😄 I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto in 2012. I felt tremendously tired back then and until the medication was well balance I had instant diarrhea when I was eating. It was hell! I did a month of Carnivore in January 2024 and 5 months without any types of alcohol. A very nice reset. I cut all gluten. Now I am more keto than carnivore but still, some, gut issues. I am aiming to start another carnivore month or more if I can. Still weight to get rid off as well, approx 30 lbs.
thanks for the video. Take care.
Thanks for this new update!! I too have hashimoto/thyoiditis. Currently on 30 mg of NP Thyroid. And doing carnivore as well. Slowly getting better and slowly losing weight as well.
13:11 "Now I just call it the Neisha Diet" I love this. It's a great way to prevent food purists from wagging their fingers.
It's been frustrating to see influencers who follow a named diet 99% of the time, say "I know it's not 100% X Diet, but this works for me." You know it's because of "better than thou" commenters.
thanks for sharing your story, I was also diagnosed w Hashimoto, and keto DIDN'T HELP ME at all. I got extremely sick on keto. everybody is different, you gotta try what works for you, i tried keto for 6 months, and I had to give it up bc it made me sicker on many levels. The Mediteranean diet without pasta and bread, and without meat, dairy, and gluten works for me. Luckily for me I love fish and seafood, and eggs, so... One of the reasons why Keto didn't work for me because my body cannot metabolize fats as well as other people, so instead of losing weight, i gained a LOT more after starting keto.
Thanks Neisha!! Love to you and family!!🐾🎶💗
Thank you for this, Neisha! We need more vids from you please!
This info is awesome! A great discussion of listening to your body, monitoring your own signs and symptoms, and figuring out your own best way of eating! Elimination diets are amazing for resetting no matter who you are and what health conditions trouble you! A fabulous way to learn how YOUR body responds to a food. Thank you so much!
Thank you Neisha. I truly think my thyroid is off again. Dont want to go on medication, but im tired of feeling like crap. Leg muscle pain, anxiety is up, fatigue etc, brain fog and more.
Hello Neisha, you know me I had to give you a joke. Hope you're having a grate and cheesy day.
🤭🤭🤭
I just discovered your channel and subscribed after searching for Dr Elizabeth Bright and boom. Great information. Thanks for that. I was looking up the BIBBI diet you mentioned. I noticed the Kiltz Keto ice cream has a little sugar. Have you tried substituting that at all? I was thinking something like blueberries?
I've had Hoshimito's diagnosed, undiagnosed and re-diagnosed for 28 years. I'm on a mega dose of NP Thyroid. When my T3 and T4 are barely in range my TSH is low. As a result my PCP prescribed 30 days at a time with no refills. I've had some horrid care by endocrinologists. I really needed a better solution.
