I am a 67 year old woman that lives alone and prepped fully for myself. I have friends with their heads are in the sand and they laugh and say if shift they will come to my house. I don’t mind helping those that help themselves. However, I tell them not to bother unless they have plenty of food and water or they may get shot without me thinking twice. I am sorry and I don’t want too hurt anyone. I will pray hard for them. I know when people and their loved ones get hungry, they won’t hesitate to take me out.
I told my husband. We won’t throw anything away until after SHTF and we are all clear! Until then, old clothes, shoes, household essentials, curtains, blankets, furniture etc are all staying. I can barter with kids clothes and rice and beans and seeds!
FYI: Wal-Mart has back to school supplies. I buy their composition notebooks at 45 cents each. Last year they were 25 cents each. I write down things in them that helps me to deal with what's coming. From how to make a fire from scratch, how to forage for edible plants and plants where you can make cordage, how to make an outside oven using mudbricks, how to build a shelter, recipes that are simple, emergency preparedness for medical situations, etc. These booklets are portable and if push comes to shove, they can be used as fire starters.
I remember a several years ago buying 40 of those composition books for 10 for $1.00. I also remember when Dukes Mayo was $1.69 a glass jar. Now plastic and $3.98 smaller container too.
I talked my husband into going and getting some extra am m o tonight. I told him the next 4 years are going to make the last 4 look like a picnic. He hears me .
Last week, my husband and I were in the bookstore and they had a very nice leather-bound copy of the Constitution on sale for $25 and I said "better buy that while the getting's good". Rollin on the river.
I didn’t get a notification either. I think everyone needs a case of those solar outdoor lights, they are a $1.25 for each one from dollar tree. Put them outside during the day and bring them in at night. That way it’s more affordable to do instead of buying batteries

Prep people prep. We’re hatching 🐣 chicks today. We have 50 to a hundred hens now with 4 roosters. The ones we’re hatching today will go to our daughter that lives 300 miles from us. She wants a flock. She’s preparing but it’s slow going with 3 babies age 6 & under. She’s trying to garden for the first time. I’m helping all we can. I had her leave husband & kids at home & drive up to us. I loaded her car to the top all seats, floor boards etc. then loaded trunk with food & some other survival stuff. Doing best I can

When you are in the grocery store, go down every aisle, and look for closeouts and clearances. I scored organic Roma tomatoes for $.50 a can. Did the same for some brand organic tomato sauce. They were $2.00 a can. They are dated a year out.

Deer Does birth and raise their fawns here on my property until they begin to loose their spots, and then they move to more forested areas. These Does communally raise all the fawns, with one or two babysitting while the other Does are off feeding. It's such a joy to watch them bring all the fawns to the pond to wade when it's hot during the day. I have anywhere from 3 -7 does each season raising their babies here as a group.
I've frozen and dehydrated five dozen ears of corn in the past two days. Have already canned 20 pints of green beans and will be freezing more tomorrow. Tomatoes are starting to get red, can't wait!

We've been stacking with a goal of 3yrs food, 2yrs OTCs and RXs. 1-2 yrs household and personal supplies, can pet foods, chickens for eggs for pets & us, small garden, rechargeable fan and my buddy heater including wood stove. Scrambled 12 dozen eggs that are going into friend's freeze dryer. Doing something daily. We're in our 70s

If you have a flea market around you, or maybe a thrift shop, look for old DIY books, oil lamps, cast iron to be more prepared
Deer Does birth and raise their fawns here on my property until they begin to loose their spots, and then they move to more forested areas. These Does communally raise all the fawns, with one or two babysitting while the other Does are off feeding. It's such a joy to watch them bring all the fawns to the pond to wade when it's hot during the day. I have anywhere from 3 -7 does each season raising their babies here as a group.

If your phone doesn't work to get the numbers out of it probably also won't work to call anyone. Addresses though would be useful
@aliciacantin7993 Well after hurricane Ian some of my neighbors had cell phones working some didn't.
I have an address book, always have had one. Write the information in pencil, if numbers or addresses change, just erase.

I've frozen and dehydrated five dozen ears of corn in the past two days. Have already canned 20 pints of green beans and will be freezing more tomorrow. Tomatoes are starting to get red, can't wait!

Thanks to my sweet friend, I am in the habit of filling my tank before it goes below half a tank. Thanks to your videos and a family friend, I am keeping my pantry stocked. Been following your advice for years. Paying things off. Bought a treadle sewing machine so I can sew or repair without electricity. Trying to think outside the box. Also buying instructional and informational books. Written down all important numbers and addresses to have a physical copy. God bless and keep us safe🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I just love you Pattera! I love your common sense and I love your personality and more importantly advice! My husband and I are prepared but my liberal relatives who live within one mile are not. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure if the SHTF they will be at my doorstep. We are seniors and I will feel horrible to see the teens and young ones suffer because their parents and grandparents make fun of us as we prep. Not sure how this will go down. One of the grandparents said how fantastic the opening ceremony of the Olympics was 🤮

I am so thankful that my Endoscopy was done today and their systems were up. The day before the hospital had computer problems.
Something I haven't heard anywhere, consider your curtains, line them if you can. I experimented in one room, even unlined, closed curtains helped to keep the room cooler. Preparing to make lined curtains for the rest of my rooms for summer and winter.

I'm reading Jonathan Cahn 's book, The Return of the Gods. Absolutely spot on and mind blowing. It was written in 2022. Also take the time to read the first six chapters of Isaiah aloud and put in the name of our country every time you see Israel mentioned. That will wake you up if nothing else does.
