Sweet video showing how there is quality fishing in the city. Kudos for walking that smallie down to the river to release it instead of dropping it off the bridge!
I didn't know you can catch fish in the South Platte. That was awesome catch off the top brother. #2 beautiful small mouth. #3 what's a tease. Cool 😎 video
Geez I'm straight garbage with these comments dude I gotta get back to it🤦 that day was so sick though I couldn't believe I actually got him from up there🔥
@@fishingcolorado do you got an email I could share a couple other spots that are way fire for smallies maybe we could trade spot for spot I've been looking for a new catfish area everyone seems to kill all the ones at the lakes i fish so now the bite is non-existent. Just like the fight of those beast
@@fishingcolorado I don't know if you've landed any Master angler smallmouth but last year I landed one every time I went fishing at this lake on the weekend at least once sometimes I was catching a few 20 inch 22-in 18 19 I mean just big smallies each time I'd go the smallest were around 15" and I was told by the ranger to take as many as possible cuz they overran this lake and make the trout suffer from food lose
Epic catch off the bridge let's go I met you at the park fishing with my janky Rod about 2 weeks ago did you ever get to go to my secret Pond to catch some catfish wouldn't mind joining you whatever you decide to go Fish on great video bro
Oh no way brother I didn't know you were 40osSosa I've seen you comment here on the channel before it was good meeting you🤜🤛 I actually have not gone down there yet but we may have to do that! This fall weather should really pick the bite up, tight lines brother and thanks again🎣
Another Banger🧨 these TH-camrs need to step their game up to keep up with you my man. Them river Smallies are fun and that baby snapper was super cool, I only see monsters. I was watching this video and my youngest came in and said “ wait let me see what you are watching… yup I remember him” lol Tight lines my man🎣
Man DG reading that is some real inspiration brother thanks so much for sticking with me and always checking out the videos, I seriously appreciate it🙏
Love your videos man I saw that river the other day and I was thinking to myself that would be a great fishing spot so thanks for proving me right😂🤣😂🤣. keep up the good work
Love hearing that brother thank you so much!!🤜🤛 I highly recommend fishing down there though it's an awesome stretch of river and you never know what your gonna catch
New to the channel and I’m a fan! I’m new to the city, I fished salt water for part of my life so it is a little intimidating learning to fish fresh water. Just got my license so I’m out here doing research and learning what I can before I learn out on my own!
Welcome to the city brother, I apologize for being so bad with my replies lately but happy to have you here! Thats awesome though I haven't salt water fished before but I've always wanted to it seems to fun!! Freshwater fishing honestly from what I hear can be a lot harder especially here in CO :/ definitely though lots of research and exploring I say is always the best way to start learning!!
Thank you brother!!🤜🤛 but man no way haha me and you are opposite I actually usually catch smallies but now I'm gonna attempt carp on the fly which has been a challenge for me
Awe man! You could have totally made a click bait title for this episode "Smashing Smallies from a Bridge 20FT High" :D what an epic catch man. Great shows as always!
Thank you brother, this rods actually pretty nice though! It's got a little more play then I'm use to but I like it cause it's not as stiff on hard hook sets!! But oh yeah that Platte has some great fish in it, I wish the city would just put the funding into it
I just rode by there this morning on my mtn bike going to work. . Keep making videos you do a real nice job. Thanks from Lakewood. Have you ever fished Crown Hill?
That's awesome! Thank you though brother huge appreciation for checking out the videos🤜🤛 I actually haven't fished crown hill, I've been there scouting but I hear a lot of good things!
Dudee! I'm replying to all my comments like 2 months later haha that new bridge areas pretty nice though! I honestly miss that area where the water used to pool up but the fish are definitely still there and now there's like a deep pool by the bridge pillars so it's nicee🔥
Honestly I've heard of some even being caught up in the foothills but they don't usually go up to far past the colder areas! I bet you could catch something forsure, definitely a trout
Man! You fish in all the good spots around here! How do I join you for fishing?? I’m always hitting Quincy Reservoir because I don’t know any better for this area hahah
Haha thank you brother I definitely try my best! If I'm being honest I don't wanna make any promises that we'll get together just because I get a bit overwhelmed with my schedule and also just the sheer number of people who would like to join me! I would love to help you in any other way I can though, just let me know!!
That snaping turtle gonna turn into a monster. I've tried the Denver Platte so many freaking times and never had luck. What's ur advice to get the smallies? R they still sight fish able rn? Bro keep up the freak fracking amazing videos I always enjoy them:)
I know right haha he's gonna be a beast! & man no way I'd say I usually have luck on like gold spinners! When the waters darker usually just casting and retrieving a gold spinner will catch some medium size fish but now when this waters clear the big ones seem like if you cast near them and let the blade hit the ground they get interested! Or tubes but you'll get snagged so much it'll be annoying lol also I can't promise it's still sight fishable it changes like daily honestly kind depends on what's flowing down lol but thanks so much dude seriously appreciate it!!
Man I am extremely sorry for the untimely reply brother, how was your trip? The last time I was at horsetooth I had some luck on topwater whopper plopper, also a gold spinner and I caught a fish of two on some 3.5 inch tubes!!
I'm not gonna say specifically brother but I will say that there are smallies in the Platte basically from the start of it at the chatty spillway all the way down!!
Really is nothing cornier than people that wont tell where they fish. Seen a couple people in the comments ask and dude say he cant tell them. Dude get over yourself.
Brother it's all about protecting and preserving the fisheries! Fishing in Colorado tends to be quite tough, especially around the metro and it's truly due to tons of fishing pressure! I would also say that we do not have the numbers of fish or the size for the amount of fishermen we have and as a result fish are often undersized and almost fished out of certain lakes due to overharvest! I hope you understand
@@fishingcolorado dont know what you're talking about about I know of 2 places in the Metro area that are great spots. Pull great size large mouth bass almost every time I go. Philfrom312 on fishbrain for proof and the spots
