Great point about waters changing, every year is so different you have to find new strategies. Action packed show, love the diversity you get out of that body of water. Nice to see an updated show of the river.
Thanks bro, I appreciate the love!! Dude I’ve wanted to get back out there for a long time, n finally had some free time to make it happen. Still an awesome fishery.
It just lifts my heart to see healthy, vigorous fish coming out of the SP right through urban Denver, and then swimming off again. May their tribe increase! Congrats, man.
Dude he has pretty much anything you want from lipless to whopper ploppers, jointed swim baits and all, I like his jerkbaits and squarebills the most, but you can request custom patterns or go through his page and see what you like bro. The guys name is DJ, hit him up n let him know I sent you bro!
I lived in the city for almost 11 years, and never fished the Platte once. Spent a lot of hours on Quincy though. Now I'm starting to regret missing out.
Great video! Love fishing the DSP. If you haven't fished the Platte down near breck brewery in littleton def check it out. The entire system changed this past season with the highest water in 5+ years. I had only caught one walleye previously and this year caught over 100 with the biggest taping out at 26". Still looking to land a smallmouth over 3 lbs but I know there are a few in there.
That’s awesome I’ll have to check that spot out! I’ve actually found a few good spots on the platte holding really good walleye this year. I need to go checkout a few more spots for sure !!
Great video, I’m new to the area and I’ve been trying quite a bit in the South Platte. No luck yet but I’m going to keep at it. Such a great spot. I’m super close by.
Thanks, definitely keep working at it, I’ve caught tons of different species outta that river from the mountains all the way to the eastern plains, it’s full of fish and fun.. keep at it and stay patient and you will get on em !!!
@@TheFishingJunky18 appreciate that man!!! Everyone tells me it’s a great local spot. Definitely going to keep brushing up on the videos. Hopefully, I can land one eventually! If you have any bait suggestions or spots Im looking for help! Cheers man thanks again
What part of the river were you at. I’m visiting Denver and checked out the river but couldn’t find many spots to access. Throw a fishing brotha a bone to some fish. It would be crazy cool to catch a walleye or trout. Thanks for any response. Tight lines bro💪
Just want to let you know y'all: talk about the fish only after you have released it. These guys that catch an 8 incher and then hold it up for 1 or 2 minutes while they talk about is not dope
Yessir!!! dope walleye bro 💯
Dude I was totally not expecting that!
Bro you KILLED IT! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man, it was one of my favorite days on the Platte for sure..
Great job. Did you feel safe fishing there alone? Did find a safe place to park your car? I'd worry about both those things...
Yes man I fish down there quite a bit, never had any issue with my car or feeling safe.

Nice bro! DSP is underrated! Super cool you caught a walleye!
It sure is. Don’t like having to deal with the hobos but screw it if your catching fish lol
That was dope!! I’m going to get me some of those DX lures

Great video brother. I’m glad that blue DX crawl was working for you man. But I love the video. Looks like you smashed them out there on the river.
Thanks man, that Blue craw is always a go to pattern, and the color changing blue one too! I appreciate the love brotha!!
I caught a 24" rainbow trout in the Platt downtown denver.
Nice, there are definitely some big trout in there

Nahhh, it’s a hit or miss, I’ve been there 4 times this year and haven’t landed a single fish. That runoff has the smallies hiding

Well St. vrain regularly stocks trout that are quite easy to catch..

Normally down by confluence park is a consistent place to hit up bro, I use squarebills and ned rigs for the most part.
new sub good video
Thanks for the support! 🫡
Let’s go rip some lips sometime my guy💪
Do you hike? It’s hiking season for me
