I think James Gunn needs to show the Legacy suit before filming… cos you already know if a poorly lit, BTS photo is leaked - people (ESPECIALLY the Snyder Cult) will be posting it alongside Henry Cavill and saying “We swapped this for this?” I can’t stress that this film can honestly not have anymore negative press or bullshit riding on it 💀
Yeah, kind of like when they revealed Robert Pattinson's Batman suit for the first time. I would love they do the same with David corenswets Superman by giving us an entire showcase or teaser
"Anymore"? What actual negative press is there about Legacy? There are assumptions and opinions, but the general public has no idea of the things we (the bubble) are discussing online, they'll only see the posters and watch the trailers. The only real bad press would be something like Ezra Miller, Amber Heard, Gal Gadot etc, and that's clearly not happening right now.

@@jakearrow8047 I have to agree with them, a big part of the first film was Bruce learning how the city's strings were being pulled by a corrupt figure who could turn law and order to suit his favor. A Court of Owls story could very well follow the same beats of: Batman discovers city doesn't run like he thinks it does, goes down a rabbit hole to find secret puppet masters, exposes the truth. More or less it would feel too much like part I, I'm hoping they do something different

Tbh I think for comic con they’re going to announce cast, writers and directors for the things with finished scripts and have them omcome out on stage. Maybe get a look at outfits or concept art for Superman legscy
I saw that James Gunn comment on denying that those villains + robin will all appear in The Batman 2 and then I saw everyone instantly posting their posts about "James Gunn confirms they will NOT be appearing" and it got me thinking…he has confirmed that all 4 or 5 of those characters won’t appear but we can’t necessarily rule them all out, just because he says the rumours are false it doesn’t mean every single one of them character won’t appear - we could perhaps have Scarecrow and Hush or maybe Dick and Pyg but just not all of them.
I also want to link this to what you were saying with Waller too, I believe that just because she won’tRETURN in Legacy, we can’t completely rule out the fact that she could very much have SOME sort of role in there, Gunn just isn’t deliberately telling us what will happen until the movie actually comes out.
I think Gunn was referring to Eagly being in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. That’s what the tweet was refrencing not Eagly making the switch from the DCEU Into the DCU
I personally think Gunn will direct Supergirl, too. There's a lot riding on that movie and i think he wants to take control of it, as he should. Just a theory
Would be cool, but since they're already getting someone else to write it, they might be looking to get the ball rolling on Supergirl fairly quickly. My guess is that it'll be filming around the same time as Peacemaker season 2, or maybe even beforehand; so I just don't know if Gunn will physically be able to.

I liked Leto’s Joker tbh. The Joker-Harley dynamic was definitely disappointing tho do to them tryna make her a more important character
1⃣ thing I don't want is Clark chasing and obsessing over Lois. As a young superman I want a ambitious Clark who wants to prove himself. I would even love it more if Lois was dating someone else then later starts liking Clark for character development
People seem to think that Clark is going to be a wide-eyed, young journalist oohing and aahing at everything he sees. James Gunn has said differently and I think you'll get what you want. He's a fully fledged reporter, he's Thirty Years Old (Younger than Henry Cavill, but not inexperienced.) People are making this Superman sound like a soft little baby, but he's an adult with real depth. #BobainterviewsRachel

The high society thing may tie into penguin as he makes a name for himself. He’s a big crime boss but somehow sometimes also a high society man in the source material.
I think in Superman legacy the other hero’s have will have a small role. Like Lois lane is an already a big time reporter and has done interviews with hero’s such as green lantern and Mr terrific. Maybe asking there thoughts about superman. Or their experiences with Superman. And Lois hasn’t yet met Superman herself.
Considering the Arrowverse pretty much changed universes with Crisis in their shows I’m shocked people would find a change btwn Peacemaker season 1&2 confusing 😂
Boba, I do believe I mentioned to you in a recent past video the possibility of the whole "epic crime saga" theme of The Batman culminating in Bruce discovering the deeply embedded role of the COO in every aspect of Gotham society.
The concept of the Haves vs the Have Nots, if true, lends a bit of credence to that theory. It would also tie in well to Bruce's psychological evolution angle, in helping him further decide his own place in the hierarchy, of *not* being part of the corrupt elite. It makes sense, imo.
I really want a JSA series of movies. Either Golden Age or present, but either way a complete revision, leaving none of the stench of the Black Adam debacle.
Timing as far as the trailer can very a bit depending on the process. Example July 2011 saw the release of the Dark Knight Rises trailer, a full year before Rises' July 2012 release date.

He knows how Margot acts as Harley, he knows what she's like on set, he knows she can carry a film and put butts in seats. So why would he take the much more difficult and risky path by hiring a new actress, when he can just reuse what he already knows will work?
my guess is that waller, but also possibly the authority will start production this tear, because the authority seems to be tied to superman legacy, and im guessing they wont want to wait too long between movies (it could be coming out later 2025 or ealier 2026)
this could be just me, but i think it’s fairly obvious that Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow is another film going into production some time this year. supposedly they’re casting her currently, maybe they already have an actress, or they’re still looking. but they have a writer already, and once they cast Supergirl, that’s apparently when James is going to look for a director

One thing I'm hoping will be retconned is the death of Kite Man at the hands of Peacemaker. I think James Gunn could really do something special with Kite Man, something akin to his arc in 'The War Of Jokes And Riddles', or even just a straight adaptation. It's a new universe, so it's definitely possible.
Kite man is one of my favorite characters on the Harley Quinn TV show.

Personally, I think it would be funny if James Gunn re-released peacemaker season 1 when season 2 comes out under the new brand and slot on Max. They would keep the other one up and the only difference would be them removing the post credit scene.

I am super excited for The DCU Boba !!! Anything can happen we just don't know and that's the fun of it all. It's something new and fresh for DC in live action TV and Movies plus animation & videogames. I trust James Gunn to get it right with DC. as he said with Rosey Michael Rosenblum on Inside of You their is always a vision of The DC Universe fans have in their own minds and they have things they love whether it's from the Classic DC Films , The DCEU , The Arrowverse / DCTV and the DCAU. He James and Peter knew it would be a Reign of Fire they would have to navigate. With regards to Superman: Legacy super can't wait for the film in 2025 !!! Let’s hope we get that sense of verisimilitude again! in. It's time we see a great and hopeful Superman film again. I have all the faith in the world James Gunn will give us something special. Plus can't wait super can't wait for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and a new Supergirl solo film we have not had that since Supergirl in 1984. The CW Supergirl show while it hads it's up's and downs very much enjoyed it and Melissa Benoist as Supergirl Kara Zor-EL that being said I'm looking forward to supporting a new Supergirl actress on film. My pick would be Chloe Grace Moretz she's been my dream casting for Supergirl on film for years and I hope James Gunn picks her she looks like a younger Melissa Benoist. I wonder if Todd Phillips has plans to continue expanding his DCVillainverse with Two-Face. Just because it could've been a random attorney, but he specifically chose Harvey. So it would be: Joker (about the Joker), Joker: Folie a Deux (which seems to be more about Harley Quinn than the Joker per se), and this possible Two-Face project.

Also, it’s not like an event caused the DCU to exist like, like Psycho Pirate remembering Pre-Crisis Earth. The DCU is a whole new universe it doesn’t make sense to have somebody “remember” events of an entirely different one

I see him bringing a trailer here to São Paulo in December for CCXP 2024. This event is getting stronger every year, I think he will come and talk about the film, for sure. And of course he will bring a teaser of the film, but maybe it will only be shown to those who are at the event, as they did with films like Dune, Eternals and others

There's no possible way that he would be older and more developed. Arthur is on trial for the murder he committed at the end of the first film. It was on live TV being broadcast nationwide, so they have a bulletproof case against him. Meaning it wouldn't have and couldn't have taken the court multiple years to get to the trial of this case.

the batman could use the court of owls but they would work better if it was 6 movies so they can introduce robin in the batman part 4 and have robin grow through part 4 through 6.
dick Grayson could learn of his grandfather who was a talon and how he would have become a talon if Bruce did not adopt him .

With THE BATMAN and batman the brave and the bold being separate projects, Batman the brave and the bold obviously being part of the new DCU. What does this mean for THE BATMAN’s future? Do you think they continue the batman while doing projects on the other Batman as well? Or will they stop THE BATMAN after say the third film
I have to guess Gunn will also write/direct a Plastic Man film in that's in the works. - Also, I'm with you on the Waller/Legacy exact wording thing and that it likely enters production this year... Waller appearing in Legacy would make sense, especailly if Gunn goes the President Luthor route.
I doubt Plastic Man would have a solo film. Maybe they'll to a Terrifics film somewhere down the line and he'll be one of the main characters. But I imagine he'd mostly be a supporting character outside of that.

Hey Boba! Do you think James Gunn will make a new Justice League animated show down the line? I loved Justice League: Unlimited and the smaller characters getting great stories. The Question and Huntress dynamic was one of them. I would even watch an animated show on Question solving cases.

Ah, Gunn thinks superheroes are dumb and silly. Don’t know why he got the job and why he feels the need to say things like that out loud.
Peacemaker s1 very briefly showed silhouettes of the JL, and sure we saw Aquaman and Flash for about 5 seconds... I dont get why people think its gonna be confusing. In my opinion they dont even need to explain anything in s2. Just forget the DCEU completely, and people will get it. It didnt play a big part in s1.

Honestly boba your videos have gotten longer and longer. You repeat yourself multiple times with every topic and it’s really hard to sit and listen to these for just a few pieces of news.. please work on that because I don’t think it was a problem until the last few months. I know you get more money for more ads, but at 30-40 minutes for every video I think you’re scaring off more potential viewers than it’s worth
I get what you're trying to say but I just scrolled back through 2 years + worth of uploads on my channel and they're all 3/4 over 22 - 28ish minutes long. Not sure where the "30-40 minutes for every video" came from, but any 30-40 minute videos from me are fairly rare and only really reserved for the 'discussion series' videos I have on the channel which are more podcast-esque. I haven't made my content longer in this fashion e.g. news breakdowns, it's remained the same (unless it's a review of a show or something). With the news videos, I do cover a wide range of discussion, hence why the videos are timestamped with the different topics. I mean, of course I could upload multiple different shorter videos per opinion/topic - of which you/the audience could choose from. Or as it is right now, people could just hop around the topics in these videos which are longer, but condensed into 1 video. I don't really see an issue with that vs flooding my channel with 5-10 minute videos per topic. But yeah, nothing has really changed here on the channel for a very long time. There's not been as many shows to review lately so I guess there hasn't been 16-20 minute videos for those. I enjoy doing the long form content and feel free to skim around for topics that might only interest you within these videos :)

creature commandos?? no one knows them, another fiasco, trying to "reboot" with d list characters . all these new movies projects are already doomed and destine to failed. two more movies and it is the end of the superhero genre thanks to Gunn. he should've done green arrow/black canary. Hawkworld . getting rid of the trinity and aquaman the main characters was a big mistake.

I am a huge fan of dc comics since I was a little kid, I am not a big fan of snyder either, he presented a somber version of superheroes pretending this approach was cool. but I dont think Gunn can save it either with this new approach. I am just very dissapointed and know for sure the super heroe genre is over.
Just from my perspective, please ease up on showing older scenes while your talking. Especially of Superman and Lois and of the actor that used to portray Jon Kent. We don’t need to be entertained while you’re giving us facts and/or opinion. You do a good job. Just tired of some of the clips.
I appreciate the feedback - I agree that I need to get some more 'overlay' footage so to speak in addition to what I use now. I do like to use overlay footage though, as per a lot of commentary channels to 'switch it up' a bit from the video just being my face as I can't imagine my face is all that entertaining if it was just on that the entire time haha :P
