- Here's a short video I put together from two different spearfishing trips down to Mendocino. I had never dove Northern California before this so I was definitely surprised at how awesome the diving can be up here. My biggest ling was 26" and red was 17". I hope you guys enjoy!
If you are interested in diving around this area shoot me and email or hit me up on instagram. Both are listed down below.

That was a great video, cheers for sharing it.
Dope, love it
One of those lings you speared looks undersized. Definitely under 22". Great videography .
Brah there weren’t any huge females here but I didn’t see anything that looked undersized. I mean I wasn’t there in person but everything I saw looked around 24-28” or so to me
nice thanks for sharing
👍
Another wonderful video. Where are you coming from to dive in Mendo? Clever technique on the China.
I can’t believe your gun sinks. You should get one made by the boys at Youngblood’s.co designed by the Dad Bod Jackson Moss. But a real nice video. Gives a great idea of what rock formations we have here along the CA coast.
Good stuff. Are you diving alone, here?
Seen any great whites? What kinda sharks frequent your area? For me anything a mile in shore is mostly white tips , but once u go into the deep that's were the tigers are
Was this on caspar beach?
I spearfish in fortbragg too. Where do you recommend going?
Man, makes me sad how barren Mendocino is now.. The kelp forests are just getting their asses kicked

Desolate
Nice pregnant female. She didn't move cause she was guarding her nest. Good job
These were all shot in the summer so none of them were pregnant or guarding their nest. They hunt by sitting on a rock or in a crack until they can ambush smaller fish.
The females don't guard the nest smart guy. Males do.
