    When you are trying to choose between items to sell or trying to flip stuff between servers, this is a useful website you can use. However, understand that it collects data through players who have plugins installed; it grabs the data when they look at the items on the marketboard, so if no one has looked at that item for 5 hours, then it may not be 100% accurate and it does not update in real time. Still, it is a useful tool so I wanted to share it here since I did not mention it in the video.

      This is a good tip generally, but combined with Levequests can be even better. Some people sell items cheaper than the leve reward (hq gets you 2x xp and gil). Ofc crafting can sometimes be cheaper, but the point of the vid was no crafting.

    Just a small tip for GC seals to gil:
    Hardened Sap
    Coke and Hardened Sap are used for crafting submarine parts. Some submariners buy them in the thousands.

    Most of the money I've made has been through treasure map nights with my FC. Each person brings 2 maps, 5-8 people, you can easily earn a few 100k a night with just the gil. And if you're really lucky, you'll get an item worth a lot of money (we have the loot rules set so that whoever's map it is, they're the only ones allowed to Need on items.) Even if your luck isn't great, you can still easily recoup the cost of the treasure map, if you don't have the gatherer leveled to get it yourself.

      Also to note:
      Everyone can bring 5 of the same map
      2 on retainers
      1 decyphered
      1 in the inventory
      1 in the chocobo saddlebag

    A good way to make gil that doesn't involve selling on the marketboard is using BLU to kill the trash mobs before the first boss at the dungeon The Vault. Because you're going to be killing these mobs alone while being synced, the gil they drop won't be divided between all party members. Each run will give you between 5k and 6k gil, and will only take you 1-2 minute, so doing this for an hour nets you about 300k-360k.. The only problem is having to get the required spells and leveling to 70, but these can be easily done in a day or two. Also the game stops you from entering duties after you enter 100 in a single day (anti bot measure).
    The spells needed are: Aetheric Mimicry (mimic a healer), Toad Oil, Basic Instinct, Mighty Guard, Pom Cure (once you're comfortable you don't need to heal), Eruption, Shock Strike, Glass Dance, Suparnakha, Ram's Voice, Ultravibration, Bristle and Self-Destruct.
    My runs basically take 50 seconds each, combined with loading screens that's about 1:10 minutes. Here's a basic rundown of what I do.
    Prep when you enter the instance: Toad Oil + Basic Instinct + Mighty Guard
    Pack 1: Eruption -> Shock Strike -> Glass Dance -> Suparnakha
    Pack 2: Ram's Voice (freezes enemies) -> Ultravibration (insta-kills frozen enemies) -> Bristle (powers up next spell cast)
    Pack 3 and 4: Run past the third pack of mobs and stand in front of the fourth, then start casting Self-Destruct, this should kill all enemies remaining. Normally, some of the mobs can survive this, which is why we cast Bristle beforehand. Make sure to wait until they drop the gil, open the duty window and leave the dungeon, rinse and repeat.

    If you're already running Ventures usually your retainers will also bring back Allagan Silver Pieces. They sell for 500 gil but they should be stockpiled and turned in in batches of 40 to the Doman Restoration where you can get 40k for them instead of 20k once a week. It's not a ton of gil, but you get them for free and afaik that's the highest value return for them.
    Also just a word of caution in regards to Poetics, it's totally fine to use them for income at the rate you're getting them, but take some time to research what other in game stuff they can be used for if you're still going for progression. Lately I've stopped using them for income because they can be used to purchase the first stage of relic weapons which I haven't done. They might have other uses I'm unaware of since they're a universal currency, so if you were planning to do something in the game it's worthwhile to check if Poetics can be used for that.
    You can also grind Bozja and Eureka for their specific rewards but those are instanced areas so they come with the opportunity cost that you can't use them to fill queue time for something else.

    Little info on treasure maps .. you can collect one every 18 hours so it is a litte more then once a day. Also you can collect them pretty fast if you are above level 55. You just hit a node and use Luck of the Mountaineer(MIN) or Luck of the Pioneer (BTN) which forces hidden items like maps to appear. Also, the long retainer ventures are 18 hours not 12.

      Also right now, the raw mats for most of the current crafted gear are going for a decent price and turnover. Also the EW sands (moon and earth) sell decently on my server. Since you need them for gear, pots and some food, the demand should be pretty steady too.

    If you farming fates to complete all of the locations and get one of them to max (66/66 fates if I Remember correctly. Maybe 71/71? I mean all of 3 phases) chęć out music roll and other things that trader offer. Some of them can sell for 300k to even 1milion Gil :D
    And as Aitherea said you can farm fates when waiting for dung/roulettes and it's really worthwhile.
    Also demimateria is good for me. Once in a while I checked MB and search for demimateria for 5k. It sells on MB for about 3k per 1 and you can sell it for 5k to vendor (ok 2k is really low, but when you managed to buy 100-200 of them, then it change right?) or if youre patent enough you can turn it to doma restoration to get 10k per one demimateria. But you can only turn 2 of them per week...
    Thanks for the video!

    I'm a bit late to this one, but Fist of the Father unsynced (seals or just sell armour for gil), The Vault as max lvl Blue or max lvl anything until the 1st boss (tons of easy gil from mobs, use self-desruct on 1st boss) and materia transmutation (visit Mutamix Bubblypot) and exchange 5 low lvl materia for 1 random materia 1 lvl higher. Good way to get rid of stacks of old materia

  • @Justin-sj5of

    The fastest and lowest effort gil making tip is flipping items. That said, levequests should not be ignored. A full 99 is roughly 10k value per turn in, so a million gil. Now you may think yeah you have to have a crafter... Yeah that is true. However, If you have a crafter you can buy the mats and make a one button macro, get all the spiritbond rate ups, then you get all the level 9 and 10 crafting materia on top of that. It is roughly a million gil for 30 to 40 minutes effort (and is not affected by market rate of items). You also complete challenge log entries (which also give gil) and get items & crystals which you can sell. Personally, I use Greater Spirit potion, Squadron Spiritbond, Gear Maintenance, Rationing Manual with Better Crowned Pie as the food.

    • @Justin-sj5of
      @Justin-sj5of ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, since you mentioned hunts. Allied Seals for doing weekly ARR hunts and the Blue Mage Masked carnival... Buy the Teleport Tickets. I have not paid for a single teleport this year, massive gil saver. It is probably worth mentioning the Weekly hunts for ARR, HW, StB, ShB and EW all give gil in addition to hunt resources. You could do the daily hunt stuff, but I really only do that if I want exp. The weekly is once a week for more resources.

    The main way I tend to make a bit of money is finding those occasional drops from a Treasure Dungeon and flogging them on the MB. Things like Calfskin Leather, Whisperfine Wool etc.
    In regards to selling materia around content drops, for the melders? I've made a habit of getting maxed out on white crafting scrips, and then buying a bunch of Craftsman's Cunning V. Pentamelding is apparently much easier with Rank V materia. I put a stack of 20 up on the board the night after patch day, and it sold for about 200k. I put another stack of 16 up the day after, and it went for even more because the price got driven up. I'm working on levelling my other crafters, but all I'm gonna need white scrips for in the near future are the occasional Level 80 scrip tools when I get a new class that far. The next one's still a while away, so why not make money off them instead?

    If your retainers are gatherers, you can also send them out to get specific crafting materials via ventures. So I generally turn in seals from gear to get ventures, send my miners out to get crafting materials, and craft housing items. It doesn't take a crazy amount of time, and reliably makes 6 figures a day. And the main materials and housing items I make are ARR level, so it's not like you need max crafters or gatherers. But you could also just have them gather materials from timed nodes like hawk's eye, and just sell the raw materials for decent money if you don't want to craft at all.

  • @katarh
    @katarh ปีที่แล้ว

    The cowries saved me a ton of gil since I was able to buy a lot of my own overmelds. Gathering ones are much more of a pain to create as they are time gated and require traveling through multiple zones (as opposed to crafting, where you can sit in Limsa and hit a macro and watch TH-cam videos all day like I am doing right this minute.) So my recommendation is to spend those cowries on the gathering IXs, specifically whichever one is being used the most in the current gear set (usually Guile or Guerdon.)

    6.4 is the first big Island Sanctuary update according to the most recent Live Letters. I wouldn't expect that until spring.
    You're right about IS being a nice steady stream of gil. Every so often, I flip some dyes just because some of them are extremely popular (like Gunmetal Black), and cowrie cost is low.
    Doman Enclave is another thing I love. When you finish the questline, you get 200% on anything you donate, iirc. If you hoard the Allagan Silver Pieces (500gil per piece) that your retainers can bring back from exploration missions, you can donate them to the Doman Restoration and get back 40k gil every week (the Doman Restoration has a 40k weekly cap that resets on Tuesday like everything else). Not a lot of money, but that's 40k gil a week for virtually nothing.🤑

    One method that's not the best for mass quantities, but if you have time to kill it works okay. Running the Vault Dungeon in Heavensward solo as a Blue Mage up through all the mobs to the first boss can net a decent amount of Gil per run, and you can hit daily instance Gil cap in a couple hours (500k Gil per day cap iirc).

    Honestly, I’ve also found that Heavensward Relic materials also sell really really well. The first four items you need are the ones that take the most time to get, so those should sell for a hefty price on the MB. Bombard cores, and the like for the ARR Relics also sell well, as you’ll be spending twice as long on those too, just to get them.

    so to answer the queston of what crafters use, even though it's a year late, I use CRAP LOADS of Coke, since I primaraly mass produce HQ darksteel ingots since those sell quickly and for a lot, that being said ATM Coke is dirt cheep on my data center atm, like it's cheaper overall to buy them on the market board than to use Company Seals, like I just bought 1400 Coke for 140000, and after putting in some time crafting I'll probably make like 3-4mill profit selling everything over time.

    First: what is that staff??
    Second: my lazy gil schemes:
    I have one retainer dedicated to flipping vendor items. Hes got an entire page of stuff that I cycle through depending on the current prices.
    Mostly crafting reagents that people dont want to leave their current area to go find at a distant vendor somewhere.
    It's not huge, but it certainly adds up over time.
    I sell my allagan coins to the doman enclave, along with any trash that I pick up over the week, rather than vendor trash it.
    Level quests - I try to at least so the challenge log for it each week, but a WoL gets busy lol. I keep a 500+ stack of the materials for my level item of choice and try to make at least 6 day (that's how many levels allowances you get a day). But I inevitably miss days, so I shoot for 10 or 15. I'd say like once a month or so I make a day of going out to gather more resources to stockpile the for leves.
    but even if you can't or dont like to craft, some leve items can be found on the market board for cheaper than the reward.
    This also works for provisions (for more of those sweet GC seals) and often those items can even be found at a vendor - but that's more of a "level your hand/land classes quickly/lazily" than a gil making scheme.
    On that note, some other items can also be found on the market board for cheaper than their vendor resell price. Materia and those allagan coins come to mind. And you can trash them at the enclave for double returns. (well, only if you're enclave is maxed out. takes a few weeks to level up if you're starting from scratch)

    If they don't care, that's on them, but if they don't know, there's a good chance they are a sprout and don't even have that much money to begin with. I don't want to rip off sprouts and will not be a reseller in the future.
    This is also a bit of a risk. Other experienced players will pick up on that and do the same. You are essentially battling them with constant undercuts and it can be a bit of time investment to actually get players to buy from you instead of the others due to being undercut by others. You also need some money to invest before you can start making money.

      there are a LOT of people who are just too lazy to go to a diff server cuz you have to TP to a main city, queue (even if its quick), run the the MB, run back to aetheryte, go back to your server, then finally go back to wherever you were. This is super true for people who are working on housing. If i need a lot of one item i will server hop for better prices, but if i only need 1 or 2 ill just buy them even if i could save like 50k by server hopping.

    most money i make is thru RP focused stuff, im a freelance gposer and i can make up to 2.5 mil/hour doing photography, being hired for weddings etc, yes it's not a stable income but when it happens, its alot more than i can ever manage to spend.
    currently my rates are 300-500k per hand crafted pose sfw/nsfw for 1-2 people and it only gets more expensive the more ppl are in there.

      That's a cool way to make money! I think there are a few ways to make money in the RP community that dont involve sexual content, but I'm not versed in them at all because I'm not into RP. I know you can also make money decorating people's houses for them!

      @@Aitherea house designing is by far most profitable one, i know people who will charge you 40m+ for house decor but the work they put into that is amazing, one example is when i tried to figure out how they made tiles in a bathroom, took me 1h of glitching inside the furniture to see whats inside and i still did not figure it out lol.

    • @Aitherea
      @Aitherea  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on what data center youre on. Most of them have discords where they announce them. Some servers will also have linkshells within their server so you can see the announcement for the hunt train for your server only. But with Discord you can get pinged for any hunt trains on the entire DC (or even other DCs now that DC travel exists, if you want). We have a couple links in my Discord for some of those servers, but others might be able to send you the Discord link if you let them know your DC.

    Since a lot of people are getting into housing right now, Miniature Aetherytes sell for a lot and sell pretty quickly. They're about 16,000 GC Seals but you do need the higher promotion ranks to buy them. Furniture in general sells for a lot and if you have a way of getting some without needing a crafter they can be very profitable.

    • @Aitherea
      @Aitherea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly furniture seems to be relatively lucrative and evergreen, it's just that a lot of it has to be crafted. However, some people wont realize just how much stuff is sold by npcs, or they're too lazy to go to the NPC and the MB is closer so theyll buy it.

    I think most of my market income has come from being too much of a completionist and trying to finish all of my crafting logs. It's probably not worth it for just making gil or if you are already sitting on a ton of mats but it's nice when going for achievements lol.

    i seem to remember there being some stuff from the grand company that you need for crafting turn ins or beast tribes or something that was a pain to grind for, took 10 of each an there were 4 or 5 items, or maybe it was an older relic step now that im thinking of it.. if so maybe not viable anymore? except for new players trying to get those nicer older glams (lets face it, the quality of the newer relics have dropped a LOT)

    In having a FC, I use also my submatines to gain gil.. 4 submarines send out daily and they bring in about 4+ Million gil a week, so do the match that is a 19 million for doing nothing at all but just sending out subs... ohh and that will make you about 240 million a year

      Some people loved it and some people hated it. Lvling to 10 isnt too bad because the quests give you a ton of exp so you dont really have to go out and be a no-life gatherer (just dont spend the free cowries they give you, you'll need them to pay the mammets and do the quests). Lvling to 12 was a bit harder because there wasnt much quest exp. Most of us just no-lifed gathering. There's a macro cole evyx shared that allows you to basically press 2 buttons and watch Netflix while doing so -- if you have a 2nd monitor or tablet or something to watch netflix on xD
      Edit: also, if you dont wanna no-life gather at the later levels, you can just set your workshops. You get exp from those too. Obv takes a lot longer but at least you dont have to waste your time if you dont want to.

      Yes and no. You could make enough money to buy a small, medium, or possibly even large house without crafting. But it would probably take longer. And while I may be sitting on 20-30 mil most of the time, I know crafters with like 200 mil. But they're also veterans with nothing to spend it on.

    Eureka bunnyhunts are the only real effective way that is consistent. Without board that is . The board was key. Prior to endwalker. Now you are better off making gil another way. They gate keep with mods that square still allows. Just ignore all multiplayer aspects and just focus on the game. The dev's dont care so why should we my sub is 2 months longer after I intend to keep my sub even if I dont play cause wow is garbage.
