Amazing street food tour of the unique korean food that you will find when you visit Seoul South Korea.
Best things to do in Seoul:
1) N Seoul Tower
2) Gangnam
3) Myeongdong shopping and street food
4) Korean Fried Chicken
5) Visit the old Palace!
6) Incheon
7) Buckchon Village
8) Kpop! and Korean Music and Fashion
We start the day off by visiting Myeongdong, a really popular tourist place that is famous for street food, fashion, shopping and beauty supplies. You won't believe how much amazing street food there is in Seoul Korea and there is a lot of halal options that are available! The street food in korea is much different from the street food that you will find in Thailand or Japan. The korean street food is more like getting snacks instead of having huge meals like in bangkok or in tokyo.
We found a Lobster stall that served fresh lobster tails! Koreans love to add cheese and this was a yummy delicious lobster tail with a lot of cheese and was very affordable. Myeongdang is a great place to visit to try the street food and shop at the same time and is very central in Seoul.
We then found a stall that served rice cakes with the hot spicy sauce the koreans love. This is one of my favorite dishes in South Korea!
I have to admit, everyone dresses really nice in Seoul, they have a lot of fashion and great music. I believe the Seoul fashion week was happening at the same time so a lot of people were dressed well and there was a lot of great korean music around while you shop and eat!
One of the best street foods we had was the giant scallop mussels seafood. We got to try a huge scallop that was grilled and cheese on top! Very delicious :D Really recommend visiting Myeong-dong and Gwangjang for some amazing street food in Seoul South Korea
After have all this amazing street food in Myeongdong, we decided to get a little exercise and walked all the way up to the N Seoul Tower. This is a very popular and romantic thing to do. A lot of people take the cable car right up to the top where you can take it from Myeongdong however we decided to walk about the mountain and reach the top of the N Seoul Tower. We had a beautiful view of the city and watched the sunset over Seoul, highly recommend climbing up to see the view if you like adventures.
We then decided to grab dinner! This is our last night in Seoul and we are excited to try Korean BBQ!
We found a halal Korean BBQ restaurant called Yang Good that served Halal Lamb from Australia and beef and chicken. This is a popular spot not only for muslims but for the locals because korean BBQ is not typically with Lamb but with Beef, chicken or pork. This was an amazing experience and a must when you visit South Korea!
We had chicken and Lamb and we got to BBQ right infront of us. The food was unbelievable and we loved the food. One of the best Korean BBQ places we have eaten at. Yang Good Korean BBQ is located in Gangnam so if you are doing some shopping and visiting Gangnam you can go for dinner after and have some great Halal Korean BBQ!!

Tell me about it! Although alhumdulillah has been alright. My husband and I visited Tokyo in May June and are planning our next (zika virus free holiday) in November inshallah. We fell in love with Tokyo and Japan in general - the people, the cleanliness, their manners and most importantly the food! Feel like it’s overkill to go again so soon so we’re considering Seoul, how do you think it compared?? Other option is Cape Town, South Africa.

패리드Feride hello!!! So there is no alcohol in Gochujang and you can eat it :) the Deokbukki is really yummy and spicy :). Everything that we ate was halal in this video so feel free to try them!!

Salam Yusuf, Thanks for the halal food tips. Maybe you could move also beyond food. As you probably know we Muslims have usually trouble finding beaches, aquaparks, hotel pools etc where our spouses can swim with a hashema (covered bathing suit). Maybe finding such spots and letting us know would be a good idea.

Waalikom Asalam bro! That is a great question. Surprisingly there is a huge muslim immigrant population in Korea and there are a few mosques. The main area to find Mosques is Iteawon area in Seoul where you will a lot of halal restaurants and a few mosques. Also since we were travelling we can join our prayers so it is much easier. :D

Matt Silvestre Hey Matt! Oh man that is a tough question. I think if it is your first time to Asia than Korea would be less of a culture shock and has a lot of affordable things to do. The food in Korea is more spicy and more focused on hotspots. I love kimchi and the flavors Korea had. Korea is definitely cheaper than japan in a lot of things like cabs, clothes and shopping. They have different cultures so you will have two different experiences in Japan and Korea.
The food in Japan is amazing, but if you want to have amazing food it gets expensive there. Japan is a larger country with more cities but Korea has a lot of cool places to go visit too.
If you have to make a decision on which one to visit, ask your self what kind of food experience do you want. Are you into sushi and anime or are you into kpop music and hot pot and kimchi :)
It is not my first time in asia, actually, i am an asian but currently living in the middle east. =).. I am just fascinated with alot of crazy and weird things you can see and find in japan but i know travelling there is expensive esp. in food and transpo. Inshallah, I might go to korea first. Shukran

I’ve been there in 2015, I stayed at Myeondong too but for me quite too hard find Halal, especially street area. Just wondering, how u identify it as Halal? Because when I been there no halal stated at the stall. Well, planning to go to Korea again in next year... bring my parent too. So im looking Halal place for them coz we’re very particular about HALAL. Thanks
Salam! there are some stalls that say Halal on it but the ones that do not say Halal we just eat seafood or vegetarian. There are a lot of Halal Korean restaurants that you can google, we went to one called Eid Halal Korean which was amazing!
The halal sign at shops in myeongdong are fake. I recommend you to follow Halal Korea. They know better about halal street food in Korea than us, tourists. Even Yang Good they are not recommend it for us to go.
And yeah, tteokbokki is not safe to eat because of gochujang paste contain alcohol.
The street food seems rather expensive, 17$ for some sea food. And how much was the halal bbc in total?
Dudarov123 hey! Yea some stuff on the street are over priced, but we ordered lobster and scallops as street food. There are a lot of other cheaper street foods. For the Korean BBQ the cost per person was around $25-30 USD and you get unlimited rice and salad. I found the food to be cheaper than Japan tho. But obviously China, Thailand are way cheaper haha

There are signs on the street food stalls that say halal and if it’s seafood then it’s halal :)

Well there are a lot of muslims now in Korea but in general i do not think that the meat is certified halal. But you can find a lot of halal restaurants in Korea :D

DJ D hey! Yes, any seafood is Halal. Halal only refers to meat like chicken, beef, and lamb. Halal meat means that the meat was slaughter and was blessed
DJ D depending on which sect you are from, I am not a Muslim but I've got many Sunni and Shia friends and some eat all types of sea food and some just stick with only fish and prawns, avoiding octopus, squid, lobster, crab, sharks and etc I am not sure why though, but I respect everyone's decision! 💕 OMG, but not gonna lie, watching these halal food in Korea videos made me so excited and I am defoooo planning a trip there with my friends! ❤️

ARMY 9754aa yes lobster is Halal. Halal is only for meat like chicken or beef. Halal is how Muslims slaughter the animal in a humane way. All seafood is halal :)

How to make sure a shop selling halal food is not selling haram food along? Because they will wash all the dishes or preparing pans together? Or may be they will sometimes alternate pans for making haram food with halal food. No please this is a BIG NO!!! Not sure how to be sure
