Idk about KMF, but here in Indonesia, to have a halal certification in your products (incl restaurants) you need to pay for it and it's not cheap either and takes time. So it's understandable if they don't have the true halal certification/lable right away. I hope that these halal-claimed restaurants will work on it tho ☺
And wanna give props to them who caters to Muslim even tho the concept of halal is unfamiliar for them. Love the spirit🙌

Nice to hear that we can eat traditional foods that are Muslim friendly at this beautiful night market or in some restaurants. My main concern when I come one day to visit Korea is that I don't want to eat "halal food" like Turkish, Pakistani, Moroccan whatever. So thank you to the Korean caterers who are really making a big effort. I know that there are a few Korean restaurants managed by Muslim Koreans who really cook traditional dishes with halal certified meat. So maybe you can tour us there someday. Tourism has become so global that all countries have to adapt to the many cultures that come to visit.

But what you need to understand about halal food is even if there pig oil that use sweep on top of the pans to cook or the food it still not considered halal. If the tools use to cook have any contact with pig it is not halal. It not only because of the meat
True. It all needs to get sterilized from any kind of pig contaminants.
kalo udah di cuci gapapa kok. yg haram kalo blm dicuci trs dipake masak lg yg lain
Kalo peralatan bekas masak babi atau lard (minyak babi) tidak sekedar cuci biasa tetapi harus dicuci 7 kali dan salah satu unsurnya pakai tanah, tetapi jika bekas wine atau khamr baru bisa dicuci biasa

@@khalifaljibrang6028 there is a special way in handling this kind of tools and utensils. They need to be clean with clean water and earth water in some manner.
edit : That is why if they really wanted to target the muslim actually those kind of things is needed
Oppa there are some specific criterias that need to be fulfiled so the food can be muslim friendly, 1st, there isn't any part of pig or dog or nonhalal animal that have ever touch or in the utensils used to cook the food,
2nd, the person who cook the food also has to be clean or didn't have any contact with dog or pig when or going to cook the food
3rd, the ingredients such as oil, seasoning, and tools also have nothing related to those two animals, such as brush must be synthetic not fur.
4th, the meat used in the recipe except fish or any seafood must be halal meat that means the way the animal killed must be in Islamic way,
5th, the plate, fork, spoon, and glass must be clean and also never touch non halal food or animals, there are rules that need to be fulfiled to make it clean if it has touch non halal.
i add that it shouldn't have any alcohol content,i see that some big brand gochujang (it usually use for make kimchi) have alcohol content
and in islam prohibited horse meat (back then it was okay but after some war horse meat is prohibited),i rarely see horse meat in korea cuisine
but i think it is good to tell that horse meat prohibited,because i see some country like russia (especially serbia),kazakhtan,some of china mountain region use horse meat in recipe...
i see some of mountain region in part of the world is sometime use horse meat
@@aysmch622oh. And horse milk 2. But it has over 15x the amount of lactose than regular cows milk so it has to be fermented into fizzy kefir like drink called kumis
As a Moslem I more prefer to eat Vegan or Vegetarian food when I'm abroad tho'.
Oh btw Myeongdong and Dongdaemun have a lot of street food vendor that sell Halal food, which easy to recognise coz There're halal logo on its.

di myeongdong banyak tidak halal walaupun ada logo halal.sila hati2 ya.
Turis muslim lebih terjamin dengan resto yg berlabel halal. Karena bukan cuma masalah daging babi aja, mungkin aja ada bahan lain sprti minyak babi atau alkohol dan juga kemungkinan alat masak yg digunakan bercampur dengan makanan yg tidak halal.
Kalo pemerintah korea memberikan sertifikat halal bagi para penjual di pasar itu pasti akan lebih menyenangkan bagi turis muslim karena bisa mencicipi makanan lokal tanpa khawatir dgn bahan2 yg haram, seperti di myeongdong misalnya.

할랄 길거리 음식, 할랄 과자, 그리고 그 음식 어떤 재료 들어가는거 좀 더 설명해주세요. 할랄 음식이 뭔지 그런것도 좀 더 알려줘요. 가끔 돼지 고기 안들어갔는데 술과 돼지 기름 들어가잖아요. 그건 할랄 음식 아니예요.
음, 다른 지역에도 더 알려주세요. 그리고 기도실 어디 있는지 알려주세요.

jadi kangen tongin market 😭😭 pas ke sana sore udah banyak stand makanan yang tutup, akhirnya beli gireum tteokbokki, nenek penjualnya ramah banget 😭 dan ada bapak bapak yg lagi makan di situ juga ramah 😭 dan pas banget yg kita beli itu gireum tteokbokki terakhir dan aku suka banget, enak banget, jadi kangeeeen 😭😭

Terima kasih oppa sudah memberikan perhatian lebih pada turis muslim dalam hal kehalalan suatu produk atau makanan. Hanya saja halal tidaknya suatu produk atau makanan bukan hanya sekedar dilihat dari daging saja. Seperti babi atau anjing. Namun juga perlu diperhatikan dari segi bumbu seperti minyak babi, alkohol, lalu kemudian dari peralatan memasaknya, dan proses pembuatannya juga. Semua itu harus steril dari yang dilarang. Tapi aku pribadi sangat menghargai oppa yang mau memperhatikan begitu detail mengenai kehalalan suatu produk atau makanan. Karena kehalalan itu sangat penting bagi yang beragama muslim. Oppa jangan cuma tanya tentang babinya aja dong. Pake minyak babi juga gak di situ. Terkadang babyak makanan yg gak pake babi tapi tetep pake minyak babinya juga
Nah iyah kadang pakai minyak babi gitu, kayak kimchi klo ga salah, makannya kimchi juga ga halal gitu
@@Lovemeright401 baru tau klo kimchi buatnya pakai minyak. Kimchi biasanya pakai garam, onion, garlic, ginger, gochugaru, bit sweet from buah pir, dsb. Semuanya mentah, di fermentasi. Just saying..
@@gold_friday ada banyak jenis2 kimchi. Kalo kimci pada umumnya atau yg biasa emang gak pake. Tapi ada juga yg pake minyak babi atau minyak ikan untuk nambah rasa biar lebih enak. Soalnya aku kalo beli kimchi yg import itu aku sering liat ada kandungan minyak ikan dll. Jadi haru bener2 di liat
Kimci pake kaya arak gitu.. makanya haram

Thank you for bringing attention to this situation. What I want to say for anyone reading this it’s not only haram because of pork it can be haram because the meat comes from an animal that was not slaughtered the Islamic way ( we have our own way and it’s a more thoughtful way towards the animal because it’s less painful and healthier ...) and also koreans use oils and things that have pork ingredients in it so that makes the food haram . That’s why you have to be careful guys don’t eat anywhere only places that are verified by the organization in the country you’re visiting. For korea you can enjoy seafood since it’s not haram it’s halal and it’s tasty but make sure the ingredients used don’t have other meats or pork or wine or anything forbidden in it .

Your efforts in understanding and helping Muslim tourists in getting halal food is highly appreciated. Yeah, we do have that strict rules as we need to really confirm whether the oil used to cook the food has been used to cook other prohibited menu like ham etc. But your thoughtfulness is something that we should appreciate in the first place and let's continue to learn and understand each other's sensitivity deeper :)

tapi makanan halal atau tidaknya juga dilihat dari tempat membuat makanannya oppa. peralatan yang dipake gak boleh campur sama peralatan masak untuk daging babi, jadi bukan hanya sekedar tidak pakai daging babi aja.

Not just about the pork..
The oil, smoke, and the cooking stuff also...
If we fry food in the same oil also with pork... The halal food will not supposed to be halal...
And also..
The stuff .. If the halal food is cooked after we cook pork in the same stuff it won't be halal food anymore...
