      TheGrimReaper Definitely not impossible. I've seen a rigger lose his whole arm after a crane cable on a construction site snapped. It cut through him like butter and flicked his arm about 50m into the air.

      When something hits, cuts, slices, smashes you at a high rate of speed you honestly don’t feel any pain for about 20 seconds. Your brain is incapable of perceiving the amount of pain at an instance. Like that’s not how pain works lol. First you’re in shock, you don’t feel anything. Next you realize your situation and you can now begin to feel a tiny bit. At this point though your brain is trying it’s hardest to keep you from feeling pain, so now all your endorphins began to rush. This last for about 20 minutes. Then that’s when the actual pain starts, once that adrenaline wears off you feel it believe me lol. I’ve been through some shit, and have experienced the whole trip several times, it sucks being in that spot.

      @@cooliodiablo4571 Yeah, I get it. I got an accident before in a bus crash, I braced myself but still bumped my left knee hard on the seat in front of me cause of impact. I didn't feel any pain for a day then I started feeling pain on my kneecap and lower back for a week. 😅
      Until today, I get discomfort in both areas, especially on cold days.

      It was meant to be a fun experience that turned for the worst. But not so much. You want a bonding experience between the strongest bond; father and son. It was a near death experience that they both shared, and lived through it. They could have died. So the worst had not happened. Yet, they lived that day and created one of the most concrete memories that they will share because they lived through that by each other. Yes they suffer still because of it, but they share something that reminds each other of the day they lived together. You have to look for the good, or you'll never see the good. God did bless them that day.

    • @ChristopherGray00
      @ChristopherGray00 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      actually its a huge misnomer that adrenaline prevents pain, it doesn't prevent pain, it has no mechanism of action towards any type of pain receptors and infact adrenaline can INCREASE the perception of pain due to neural excitation and increased firing of neurons, pain just takes time to set in full force, especially with deep wounds.
      extremity pain is near instant but muscle lacerations, organ damage, etc, that pain is going to set in about 10-15 seconds after. you're not gonna feel shit from that instantly.

      I’m pretty sure he felt the pain. The reason you may not notice it for about 10-15 seconds is because the feeling is so foreign and you’ve never felt it before and the chaos of it all, but it’s a myth that you literally don’t feel it.

    • @ttt69420
      @ttt69420 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChristopherGray00 It's well documented that epinephrine both dampens pain perception and increases pain threshold. The unknown part is how, not if.
      And it wouldn't be a misnomer. It would be a myth or misconception.

    • @ChristopherGray00
      @ChristopherGray00 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ttt69420 That is false, it literally does not interact with any pain receptor, and does not have any evidence for pain reduction, not sure what you're talking about when you say "well documented".
      It stimulates alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, which have nothing to do with pain, and that's it.
      You must be confusing endorphins, which are released during the same time, in a severe injury, with adrenaline and correlating it to adrenaline, endorphins are endogenous opioids for the reduction of pain.

  • @Joeyw-2203

    There was an incident at 6 Flags in California about ten years ago on the Free Fall ride. A cable snapped. The operator was alerted by a warning buzzer but went to get a manager, instead of immediately pushing the Emergency Stop button. When it went into free fall, the free end of the cable wrapped around a young girls lower legs and cut them both clean off below the knees. Unfortunately, many States do not regularly inspect machines nor require the operator to do so. We often assume we are safe with the machines and operators, but there's still a certain amount of risk.
