To help promote the movie and she would be paying tribute to Left Eye. Then during the 2014 AMAs they performed “Waterfalls” with Lil Mama doing Lisa’s rap. But in true Lil’Mama fashion she fucked it up. By over dancing, being out of breathe and screaming out the rap at the end. So Tionne n Chilli ended that real quick. The next night they performed “No Scrubs” on “Damcing with the Stars” instead of Lil Mama performing Lisa’s rap, like originally planned, she was made to just dance and lip sync the chorus. N that was the end of the “TLC feat Lil Mama” era. N put to end the rumors of her becoming the new “L.” Which I never thought she was a good fit. Her dance style is completely different. Where Tionne n Chilli are real smooth and natural in their movements, Lil Mama over dances and is very choreographed. I’m so glad they never considered a new girl. Because like Tionne says “We made history and sold over 85 million. Ain’t no heffer finna come up in this group and claim sumthin she ain’t put in work.”
To see the kid(on the guy shoulders) @ 40:10 singing all the lyrics, and she looks like she’s only 10-11y/o, is a testament to how timeless TLC music is.
It was sooo hot that day 😭😭 and mind you we got there at 6am to make line to get let into the venue at 12pm and they preformed at suns peak time 😭😭 3pm . I remember like it was literally yesterday. San Diego’s last best festival line up if you ask me!! Everyone was there!

At the grocery store, a few years ago, my gf was flipping through a magazine and showed me a pic and asked "Who's this?" I said Rozonda Thomas... Chilli. She almost slapped me with the magazine and said, "You know her real name!?" I said, "that's my girl".
